Had some of the best I've cream ice had in a while at this place however I also had pretty lackluster service from my cashier. Of course it was just mine, as all of the others seemed friendly and attentive to everyone else's needs, I just happen to get the one that either hates the world or hates her job. That was not hurting the stars I'm going to give since the ice cream was that good. The graham cracker crunch, the cashew raspberry swirl and the caramel apple are all beautifully crafted ice creams that I will forever use as my bar for top notch ice cream. 3B's Has 4 locations 2 in Harrisburg 1 in Dauphin & 1 in Duncannon we just go for the Ice Cream but some locations do serve food not sure if they have eat in facilities but I did notice people getting Subs to go at the Derry T Location! There is almost always a line at every location but the service is fast and efficient. The thing that you need to know about 3B's ice cream--is that they serve turkey hill space cream. BUT It is only exclusive flavors (for the most part) that you can't buy in stores! One of those flavors being cotton candy, which is to DIE FOR! It's a little expensive if you compare the price of a cone to a gallon of ice cream! Still totally worth it! Get the Mocha Cookie. One of the best flavors of ice cream we've ever had. My favorite flavor at the Penn State creamery is espresso fudge pie, but the problem is that they never have it! So this is the closest thing I've ever found to that, and it may be even better. It reminds me of the Tonight Dough from Ben and Jerry's, my other favorite. It'll be a struggle to get through the last few bites because the servings are so generous but it'll all be worth it. Very quaint and cute interior. Outside picnic benches are available for buyers. The teenagers who work there are fast and efficient. Please put a generous tip in their tip jars because that's a big part of their salary. read more

Finally a break from Froyo I got to enjoy real think full of fat and sugar ice cream, and it was GOOD! The had a great selection which drove me crazy so I sampled the sticky bun (too cinnamony) the teaberry (too pepperminty) and got the almond joy which was pretty good as a kids sundae whoch was pretty big for $3 and I got all the toopping I wanted on it so I went all out and got strawberrys, peanut butter, chocolate, peanuts, marshmellow cream and whipped cream. When you ask for one scoop, you're really getting more like two scoops! My "small" cone was huge! It was actually way too big for me so I ended up throwing some of the ice cream away, sadly. I got the raspberry truffle, which was vanilla ice cream perfectly swirled with raspberry flavoring and a touch of chocolates filled with raspberry. I thought it would be a nice blend of fruity and earthy, but I felt it didn't have enough chocolate. In my huge cone, I might have gotten three chocolate pieces: bummer. I have actually been going to 3Bs for quite some time. I have been to both of their locations but this one is the closest to my house and happens to have an inside sitting area along with a deck. They do take card and have more than 10+ flavors of ice cream. Parking is super limited here (so carpool. The other location has more parking space but no place to sit. Win some lose some right?) and we tend to go at night which seems to be when everyone else gets ice cream. I wish I could tell you which flavor to pick or what their specialty is in terms of ice cream ...but ALL OF IT IS GOOD. Their ice cream is fresh tasting (none of that frost-bitten crap). Their banana splits are good. And they always seem have a feature new flavor every 1-2 months or so. I would note their sizes are not normal so you are getting a bang for your buck. Their "small" is like 2-3 scoops. So if you want ice cream but don't want too much, I suggest getting the kid size which is 1 scoop. Their larges are HUGE and they don't do cones for them because they really load you up. You're also allowed to ask for samples if you're wondering. On the inside they have more of the descriptions of what's in the ice cream rather than the order window. Honestly the only ice cream place worth going on this side of the river and the FRESHEST. And no I don't have pics because I'm busy eating my ice cream before it melts in the sun here - duh. read more

I have been coming to 3Bs for years and its pretty much a summer staple. They have yummy sundaes or you can simply order scoops of your favorite flavors in a dish or a cone. They also have milkshakes. Sometimes they have seasonal things like right now they have Blueberry Sundaes. I love the variety of flavors and its one of the only places I can find my teaberry. SO GOOD!!! They have children's size to large but the children's size is PLENTY for me. Staff is friendly and efficient. Tip them well because they work hard! read more
