We went to the Dairy Queen in Mechanicsburg, PA (Simpson). My boyfriend ordered a Large Chocolate blizzard with butterfinger and cookie dough. He received the blizzard but it wasn't chocolate ice cream - it was vanilla ice cream. He handed it back to the 2 young boys working there letting them know that we ordered CHOCOLATE (not vanilla). They took the blizzard, squirted chocolate syrup in it, pushed it through the blender and handed it back to him. My boyfriend was SHOCKED that these 2 lazy teenagers would actually do this so he drove away. If I was in the drivers seat I would have stayed right there until they fixed it correctly. Of course we've attempted to contact the owner of the store and the phone just rings and rings. Not surprising that you get THAT kind of employees when you have an owner that doesn't care how their customer's are treated. We will NOT be back. There are plenty other ice cream shops to give our business to. read more

The Dairy Queen on Walnut Street in Harrisburg was absolutely amazing! When a different Dairy Queen closer to me was unable to complete my order, I called the Walnut Street location and I was completely taken care of. Wendy in the cake department was fantastic and went above and beyond to make the perfect cake for my friend's birthday. I will definitely be using this location for all my ice cream cakes moving forward. 10/10! read more

Love DQ ice cream. Did not like the fact that all staff were not wearing masks properly. The owner was there and had no mask at all.

This Dairy Queen is a great spot to hit up on a sunday afternoon after doing some yard work. Right off rt 22, and with a fair amount of parking it is usually packed. This visit I had to wait about 10 - 15 minutes for our order to be placed. We got a large Reese Blizzard (3.79) some soft serve and a chocolate covered vanilla cone. A summer favorite of the locals, Dairy Queen's parking lot is always packed. They've got your usuals - sundaes, blizzards, ice cream cakes. I guess I'm jaded, but the only thing good about Dairy Queen is how close it is to my house - and that's only useful when giving directions. read more

Bought two large ice cream cakes in the past month from this location! The workers were eager to help and write something on the one cake for me! I got one cake and knew I had to go back two weeks later for the other because it was so delicious! I also enjoy stopping for slushees or ice cream as a treat on a weekday after school! Assuming under new ownership not a good scene employees seem pretty clueless overall as well as uninformed

This place is ridiculously slow. The kid that just looked our was high as a kite almost fell over standing still! Asked us about ten times what did we order even though it's in the system and printed and he still got the order wrong. I ordered a cake shake and it is literally milk and chocolate syrup...not a cake shake! My husband had a blizzard that was melted after about 2 minutes. Terrible - do not give them your business. VERY RUDE!!! Waited for daughter to get off work so we could surprise her with a DQ blizzard and when we got there, the door was unlocked but entry was blocked with someone's outstretched foot (manager, I believe) who said rude and loudly, "we're CLOSED." When told that the website shows they would be open for another 35 minutes, the reply was again "WE'RE CLOSED" in a very rude, unprofessional tone. Also was not even facing the door, so you could not see his face - he probably didn't have a mask on. There were several people inside waiting for their orders. If this was the manager, he should be FIRED. And the location owner should be questioned, as well. Only an idiot would hire such a rude A-hole to run their location and expect to have repeat business. Will NOT go here again. And will make sure to spread the word about this lousy location. read more

To round out our 'kids day out' event with our kids and their friends, we stopped by Dairy Queen for some ice cream. There was about a 10 minute wait as the shop was packed with people. The ice cream and sundaes were standard quality. Really no complaints whatsoever. read more

Ice cream is always good but employees were on there phones calling and texting people while preparing my ice cream. Not wearing gloves and dealing with money and ice cream and not washing hands in between. I am not mad about the small line but the employee was on their phone when busy. read more

I checked the store hours before I left the house. The hours online say they are open until 9pm. I got there at 8:45. I could see an employee inside, but all the lights were turned off and the door was locked. The hours have not been changed due to COVID. If you're not going to stay open until the time posted online, update your hours so customers aren't wasting their time driving to your store. I hope it's not common practice for employees to just close up whenever they feel like it. read more

This was the absolute worst service I have ever had in my life!!!! We walked in and instead of saying hello they were socializing with each other. The girl destiny came to the register and just looked at us! My boyfriend asked if she had tried one of the flavors and with an adittude she replied no. Didn't even explain what was in it. Then once she made our ice creams came up to the counter and said "if I'm correct this one has the Reese's in it but I'm really not sure". Again...worst service I have ever had in my life! Very similarly to other comments, we walked in and instead of being greeted we walked in on five of six employees sitting behind the counter all eating McDonalds. Not only were they inappropriately talking about paychecks and hours, they were also using language that was unsavory in the work place. In my opinion the place was over staffed considering my friend and I were the only customers there. Also, instead of socializing the employees should have been wiping down the tables that had crumbs all over them or sweeping the floor. The only reason this place deserves a star is the girl who served us, handed our blizzards upside down like she was taught and offered us a good day. Ordered a blizzard cake from them. Not your typical birthday cake. We wanted a funny saying for my husbands last day at his job. It was supposed to read "You're dead to us. We hope you fail." It was repeated back to me accurately, and didn't think there would be a need to spell it out as they are all common English words. When I picked it up, the words were poorly spaced, some words crammed and others far apart. Some of the lettering was thick and some thin (clearly not purposefully done for fun emphasizing affect). When they asked me check it, it said "Your dead to us. We you fail!" You're was spelled wrong and he totally missed the hope. As I said earlier, everything was unevenly spaced so when he went to correct it he attempted to put hope in a bigger opening, however it would have then read "We you hope fail". If I would have had more time, I would have went to giant and bought a different cake. It looked like a 10 year old did it. To the point my husband was amazed when I said it came from dairy queen with such poor quality. The only reason 2 stars were given was bc the cake was delicious and they offered an EMS discount. (Not a "I made an error" discount, a discount I would have received either way...). If you decide to get a cake here, I hope you have better luck, but I will not be returning. read more

This place is a dump plain and simple...I walked in and the workers looked miserable...don't blame them...Felt bad..no smile no greet like Zombies..I regretted going in there but my lil niece was excited to try her first blizzie...I will usually drive out my way for a better fast food location which is usually on the West shore but didn't have time 2nite....When I was rung up there was no receipt or no total to tell u how much u owe...they just tell u..i ordered 4 small blizzies with buy 1 get 99cent deal..Came out to 16bucks...My math sucks but it should be under 10 for the deal..i didn't complain cuz there was a line and the worker looked miserable..i always tip but couldnt this night...even when service is bad I still tip...Anyways don't order more than 2 items or u take a chance of them messing up....IF u ever want a reality check on how crappy this world is check out this place sometime...like a twilight zone read more

This is the worst Dairy Queen I have ever seen. I always try to avoid this place and go to the Dairy Queen located on Front Street in Steelton Pennsylvania that place is spotless they wear all white uniform and are very polite unlike this location:. I came to this one because it was close to my house and I was craving a Sunday after walking in I looked at the counters and I were filthy they had labeled containers stacked up high where the ice cream machine is the workers uniforms were filthy and it's sad to say but out of the three workers only one of them wash their hands after every client. When I ordered my food I had to specifically say to her if you don't make my Sunday could you please make sure that the person who makes it washes their hands. I never had to say that before. I wish the owner of this establishment with tidy up a little bit just to make the place more welcoming like cleaning the floor the counters having enough space to put your products so they won't sit on top of ice cream machines you know the normal so this is why I rated this a 1 read more
