At first we were hesitant to eat here because of the mixed reviews, but it was getting late and a lot of restaurants were closing, so this bar was the closest place to eat, and I'm glad we ended up here:
Full rack of ribs - 4 stars - for $29, the ribs was a little burnt, but it was tender with a bold bbq flavor. Came with fries and onion rings.
Cassoulet - 3 stars - for $21.50, lots of sausage and an overcooked duck leg over a bean cassoulet.
Seafood linguine - 3 stars - a plate full of pasta surrounded by mussels. Was an interesting mix with bacon as well.
Large ceasar salad - 3 1/2 stars - for $9.50, it was your usual ceasar salad.
Duck Confit poutine - 3 stars - wanted to try this. The duck and cheese was ok, but the French fries were really salty.
Malted beer - 3 1/2 stars - for $4.85, we chose the darkest beer on the menu, but it didn't have that chocolate malted taste. Was a bit bitter, but easy to drink. Was cold and on tap.
Overall, the food servings were bigger than normal, but salty, probably for drinkers.
Service - 3 stars - usual service.
Parking - lots since it's located outside la capitale mall. read more
