    3 Halves plate

We came here for lunch after reading reviews. We shared the 3 Halves plate with sliced brisket, ribs and hot link. We got onion rings, mac and cheese and beans for the sides and some wings. The place is nice. Not fancy, but comfortable. The server was really nice and did a great job. Everything was very tasty. The brisket melts in your mouth, ribs were almost fall off the bone, which is perfect, hot link had just enough heat, mac and cheese was great and hubby liked the beans a lot. We will be back and I will be trying the tenderloin!

One Single Meat Plate: sliced brisket

This place had good Yelp reviews, so we stopped in for dinner before the grand opening of Water Street Ceramics. I ordered a half size of pulled pork nachos, with no olives, jalapeños, or green onions, along with a side of street corn. My husband ordered the one meat sliced brisket plate with baked beans and tots. The good: - baked beans side was smoky and flavorful - street corn side was a small serving, but it tasted amazing - the nachos did not have olives or green onions on them as requested The bad: - My husband's brisket was cold and not very flavorful at all. Disappointing bc it cost $18. - The pulled pork on my nachos was also cold. Idk if they just serve all their meat cold or what, but it was cold. - I can deal w cold meat, but my nachos had jalapeños in them. I don't realize it until it was too late and I'd bitten into a couple; my body does not tolerate them well at all. - When I bought it up to my server, they asked if I was sure, despite a handful of them I'd picked out sitting on the plate next to me. She went back to check and supposedly the pico has japalenos in it and the server didn't know. Based on how the food was served, idk if that's true, but either way it was not a pleasant dining experience for me, and I was really looking forward to going out and trying a new place. - They remade the nachos, but it was def a smaller serving size and the meat was lukewarm. Cool location and ambiance inside with the various seating options; service was not terrible, but not very impressive either. We will not be back.

Visiting the area and was kind of confusing at first. Google said it was the corner suite but it was actually the entire building. It was a huge place with an option for some outdoor ambiance. The bar is immediately when you walk in and the staff was super nice. Definitely amazed by the local township relationships and that defines the culture of the area. The owners and staff knew their "regulars" and it makes it almost like a CHEERS theme. I wanted to try everything but I had their golden ale (similar to a Blue Moon) and their seasonal Oktoberfest was delicious. I had the cowboy burger which was huge. It had their house bbq sauce on it and the fried onions definitely topped the flavor. I didn't think to ask for it medium but it was still delicious. I also had the 1/2 pound of sliced brisket, which came on top of a piece of bread. The brisket was perfectly cooked and juicy (even though I asked for cuts with more fat). The major distinctive taste was the cracked pepper on the outer layer of the brisket. The house spicy bbq sauce was a smooth compliment to the brisket as well. Overall, this place is amazing and I would definitely make my way to visit every time I am in town.

What a nice place! I am glad we made the drive out here. We found this place because we are knocking out the places on the KC Pub Pass and my fiancé wanted BBQ as well as beer. That only pointed to one place! They have an incredibly deal called the Meat Mile, which is said to feed 2-4 people. We were very hungry that day and managed to eat it all, but I imagine on a normal day it could be shared with more people. When we walked to in there was live music going on up front. The hostess politely asked if we wanted to listen to music, we didn't, so she showed us to a much quieter back room. I was very happy with this as I was a little disappointed thinking it was going to be very loud when we walked in. Several other people went past that area to some additional seating outside, but we didn't go see what that looked like. The best foods for me were hands down the turkey, the Mac and cheese, and the street corn. If we were to do the meat mile again, we would double up on all three of those. The pulled pork was good, but there was so much per serving, we didn't need to double up. I can't eat beef so I can't review the brisket. I had one burnt end, which was tasty, but I'm not a fan of fatty meats.

My favorite BBQ in the northland! Like a true Kansas citian, I'm all about some burnt ends and I thought they were delicious! I also love baked beans and they were some of the best I've had. It's hard to find bbq that has great meats and great sides and I feel like we found it! Our only downside was that the meat was a tiny bit cold but it was still really good!

This is our 2nd time here and today we decided to eat barbecue for lunch. We decided on the big platter for 2-4 people (there's 3 of us). We were able to seat ourselves as they were not that busy on this time of day although they have a steady stream. The place is casual and the food is awesome! We opted for the sliced brisket (melt in your mouth tender!), ribs (fall off the bone tender and juicy), burnt ends pork belly (sticky, flavorful), shredded pork and jalapeño sausage (both okay). Our server was helpful and attentive.

We just had a delightful BBQ meal at 3 Halves but the highlight of the day was our server Jesse. His conversation and upbeat personality made the meal an extra special experience. Now to the food. I had a half slab and my wife had the pulled pork which were both superb. A special thanks to Jesse, from Chicago, who made us feel so welcome. Wishing him the best in his future.

A neighbor of ours back in Indiana recommended this place. Well worth the visit. Good beer, better barbecue! Everyone in our family was happy. The sliced brisket was a big hit and I loved my burnt ends. Great beers too! This is a must visit if you're in the Liberty area. And they're located right near the Liberty town square. Lots of great little boutique shops.

Cool local spot with tasty and affordable lunch specials. I ordered the 6oz brisket sandwich special and selected Mexican street corn as my side. I was alone, so I sat at the bar where the server kept a close eye on me.

friday night chiefs game soo.. it was packed. i will say that the food was really good my group wasn't a fan of the street corn tho. we were in the back room and it there was 1 tv on wall and they had the sound cranked on the tv so with the brick walls, a packed room, and the tiny tv speakers squawking it was a VERY loud room. Our whole group of 8 was cold they had the ceiling fans going full speed blowing the cold air down on us and the food. both waiters said it was connected to the a/c and they couldn't turn them down or off? i call b/s on that one.

We started eating before we took pictures but portions are great.

Deliciously surprised! It's been a while since we visited this place. The last time the BBQ was done by a different joint. This is my second time since 3 Halves is making the BBQ. IT WAS DELICIOUS. We were surprised as we did not expect. We tried the cheese curds, baked beans burnt end and pull pork. Full of flavor, meat was tender, great bark, and full of flavor. Outdoor patio is nice.

Kansas City bbq great find thanks fellow yelpers. A little outside Kansas City limits is this great bbq spot with many great options. They are also a brewery and wish we had more time to explore all of there beverage options. It was a busy Sunday inside and many happy full faces around. Service was pretty prompt despite how busy it was.

Came up here to Liberty and checked out 3 Halves BBQ. A cool little spot. There is plenty of seating, kind of crunched in but it's really not that bad...it's a cool set up. The workers are great and the service was enjoyable. The BBQ was pretty good. Not expected in a small town. I drove here to specifically try out their burnt ends. I will say their burnt ends are better than their brisket IMO. The prices were steep. I can't remember the exact prices but I know a 1/2lb of burnt ends was around $18 or more. That's an insane price hike! They're good but they are pricey. Great BBQ, great restaurant. If you're in Liberty and want BBQ I'd suggest going. It's not the best in the area but no where near the worst. It's above average and I'd be surprised if you left unhappy!

The space is cozy and perfectly aligned with its purpose: it's all about the jazz. The service was great--welcoming, attentive, and added to the overall experience without taking away from the music. And the music? Absolutely captivating. It pulls you in and transports you--you can't help but settle into the vibe and just enjoy the moment together. We went on a Monday, so there was plenty of seating, but I noticed there's also a lower level that likely accommodates larger weekend crowds. There's a solid drink menu and a small selection of food, but honestly, this isn't the place you come for a full meal. Come for the drinks, stay for the music, and soak in the atmosphere.

The bartender would often threaten to throw me down the heating vent behind the bar; which I believed to be a portal to the Underworld; unless I went and told my mother to come back in a while. Just like my mother leaving for a while and returning, so did I. I left Liberty and the Corner Bar before I could legally drink and then in the early 2000's I ended up back in Liberty for a decade. I remember going back the first time as an adult and being a little trepidatious about entering since I had heard plenty of stories about it attracting the "wrong crowd" - mostly from judgmental Country Club types. I now understand that I am "the wrong crowd" because some of the most fun I've ever had at a bar has been here. I've reconnected with long lost friends, made lots of new friends, "owned" the shuffleboard table, played a lot of great and obscure stuff on the juke box and have had some of the best conversations ever- all in this perfectly classic Dive Bar. It's been a decade since I have lived in the neighborhood and now I only am able to get back for a fun night about once a year. My visit last weekend offered a lot of newer and younger clientele, but still a few older regulars but most importantly the same welcoming spirit of comradery. I hope The Corner Bar can hold out for a few more future generations.
