I come here for the LAVENDER SCONES. I'm sure everything else on the menu is delicious (I've heard the sandwiches are great), but my absolute must is the lavender scone. It is about the size of your palm, good enough for one person. It has a nice crisp on the outside, moist on the inside, and lavender flavor throughout. Love the icing and almond slices on top! I've never had a lavender scone like this anywhere else, which SUCKS because I now live in NY and can't get this fix until I visit Boston a few times a year :( Until next time! read more

This place rocks! Everything from the breakfast sandwiches to the regular sandwiches is of the highest quality with wonderful ingredients, fresh bread and generous portions. My wife and I split a $10 turkey and Brie sandwich and both of us felt very content. This is clearly the coffee spot of Somerville. I came with a friend around 11 on a Saturday and the line was out the door. The place is very small, though they do have a decent amount of seating. Their drinks are delicious. I got an ice latte and drank it all within 5 minutes; I could not get enough. My friend had an iced matcha and she felt the same way. I decided to get the pistachio chocolate chip cookie, because it was massive and looked amazing. It was pretty good, I'm not sure how well the pistachios paired with the chocolate. I also bit into what appeared to be a cardamom seed, which was not pleasant. Their other pastries looked really good as well. I understand the hype around this place. This is a spot that people from all over Boston seem to know about and it's definitely a place you should visit if you want a good coffee in Somerville (and maybe even the surrounding area)! read more

Such a gem! I like this cafe a lot! This place is small and super busy - it can be hard to find seating either inside or outside, but this place is well worth for both sit in and take out. I had their latte - it was okay, not the best I've ever had because I didn't taste the rich espresso flavor that you typically get. But their chai and london fog lattes are extremely delicious! Both had the right amount of sweetness to them and had strong chai/long fog flavoring to them, which is perfect! I also had the lavender scone/biscuit - an absolute must get because the the lavender flavor is not subtle - it's very apparent and I loved it because if I ask for lavender, I'm not looking for a subtle lavender flavor! This place was super adorable. It was a very popular breakfast spot, so it was very busy when we stopped by. The service that we had was a little on the slower side, and the location is really, really small, but the food was amazing. I got a breakfast sandwich with lettuce, bacon, egg and avocado all on a multigrain roll and it just was so phenomenal. All of the flavors came together really nice. I got a cold brew coffee and it wasn't my favorite coffee, but I'm a really picky coffee drinker. A couple of my friends got the cracked pepper biscuit with egg and by the time we were leaving, they were all sold out! I took a small bite and thought that the pepper could be overwhelming, but it really wasn't too bad. Very cute spot! It was packed even on a random weekday. The açaí smoothie was good, but not what I had been hoping for. I also got the Greek yogurt with honey as a side (quite a small portion if you were ordering it alone), and it was very yummy. Great prices as well! I also noticed afterwards that you can ask for your food on a plate (I assume a reusable one) if you're sitting at the tables. Great little spot to stop in for some breakfast. The food is simple of good. I really like the drinks here as well. I recommend the almond smoothie. I slurp it down in less than 5 minutes, only because I catch myself half way through it in seconds haha. The sandwiches are tasty. My favorite one is the one with the sweet potato in it and no meat (I'm a meat eater). Seating is limited, but if you come on a day where the weather is beautiful out you can sit outside at a table. I'm dropping off one star because I've been here 3 times now and have tried a good ports in of the menu. Although the food is good and simple I think there is definitely some room for improvement. read more

I hope my review doesn't cause an uproar. You know when everyone tells you that you just have to try a place and that it has the best food ever so you do and then you find out it was over hyped? That's exactly how I feel about 3 Little Figs. Don't get me wrong- the food is good and the staff are the sweetest but I have had better. And when you have had better you simply cannot say it is the best. We have been here a few times. Some things I have ordered here: 1.) Mocha (3.5 stars) 2.) Lox on Toast (3.5 stars) 3.) Egg Biscuit (5 stars) 4.) Turkey Apple Brie (4 stars) My complaints regarding the food: 1.) My issue is the hard rough bread here. The Lox on Toast comes on a rather larger square piece of bread. The bread has hard edges and a soft middle onto which the lox, yogurt and cucumbers sit. In order to get to the lox, you have to scrape the inside of your mouth with the rough hard edges of the bread. I had the same issue with the turkey sandwich. 2.) Why does everything cost so much here when the menu lacks imagination? OK yes, the egg biscuit I tried here was delicious but it also cost ~$7 for a breakfast egg and bacon sandwich. It's not like it had foie gras on it... I mean I'll probably come back here because I live in the area, but this cafe is definitely overrated. read more

Cute spot for a stop! Line out the door -- place is hot. The food? Maybe not. 3 Little Figs always pops up on Yelp as one of those hidden gems in the Cambridge / Somerville area. Tucked away in a residential area, it has an allure that takes people away from their classic daily grind of Flour or Starbucks. Although the place is cute, clean, and honestly a pleasure to spend time in, the food is simply mediocre. The coffee is good though! We ordered the egg and feta sandwich, the brunch bowl, and the greek yogurt with blueberries. The brunch bowl was easily the most disappointing: raw spinach lightly dressed, tiny bits of carrot, three (maybe because of 3 Little Figs) walnuts, raisins, and the tiniest poached egg (yup, just one) you ever did see sat atop a bed of flavorless quinoa for a whopping $10. To say unimpressed would be an understatement, especially considering the price and line out the door! Either we just got unlucky with our bowl or the featured menu item is still being piloted. The egg and feta sandwich was pretty good, although $6 is again a hefty price to pay for such a small sandwich and orange slice. Adding Chihula to the sandwich added a level of creaminess the sandwich was unfortunately lacking. The greek yogurt was quite yummy. Thick, creamy, and enough honey to make it the perfect amount of sweet, this was the best part. I'm a fairly generous reviewer, and don't mean to get picky, but I'd only recommend 3 Little Figs to those looking for a very...very... light brunch. For those into health foods, this is it! I've been into chia puddings, smoothies, and acai bowls for over two years now and have to say that 3 Little Figs stands out. I highly recommend their chia pudding. Come with friends so that you could sample their stuff or come by yourself and get multiple items. You'll love it, I promise. My only complaint is that I don't live closer to this spot - or work anywhere near it because I need more of this in my life. Not noticing 3 Little Figs for the 2+ years that I've been taking walks and bike rides right by is one of my biggest regrets. My boyfriend recommended this place because he said that the menu reminded him of me. Man, he was right. I'm in love with 3 Little Figs' menu. Everything on it screams me. That pepper biscuit is delicious! It's smokey and flakey. The bacon was thick. It was all perfect. My boyfriend got the lox toast and that was also amazing. I've had the watermelon lemonade (which was refreshing but a little sweet for me). I've also had the iced lattee with oat milk. This was soo smooth that my boyfriend stole it from me. They have very limited seating inside so I wouldn't rely on this place as a meeting spot, we got lucky this morning taking over a table just as a couple was heading out! (They also have signs to not bring laptops, and to enforce a 30 minute seating limit.) I got a hot chai latte with oat milk and the village sandwich. The sweet potatoes are not cooked crispy (just a warning for any crispy potato lovers) but I loved how soft and starchy they were. The honey and goat cheese was an interesting combination but I loved it, they don't add too much honey where it's too sweet. Awesome bread too. I have nothing to complain about the chai latte, I loved the foam and wasn't too sweet either. I would recommend this place for someone grabbing a quick bite to go! read more

Although this place is small and parking is hard to find, the marketplace sandwich was by far the best sandwich I have ever had in my life LOL.
