    Raspberry matcha

Ordered a raspberry matcha latte, black sesame cookie, guava roll, canelle, sweet corn Madeline. I also tried some of my friends orange blossom brioche. Everything was absolutely amazing The raspberry matcha was a little tart. Cute counter only cafe , would love to come again!

Most pastries are great, the chocolate baguettes was good but nothing special. They also had 4 vegan items, my friend said his vegan cinnamon bun was great.

Box of goodies featuring two chocolate croissants, a chocolate cookie, an oatmeal cookie, and a cannele.

One of the better croissanteries (and if that wasn't a word, it is now) in a small shop on Broadway just off McGrath Highway. Challenging but achievable street parking. Nowhere to sit, so another challenge. Good selection of croissants and croissant-adjacent items like caneles and pain swisse. Friendly staff; no pretension. My first visit in well over a year on a late weekday morning tried a troika of chocolate-themed items. -- Chocolate Croissant: Not warm (and I wouldn't expect that past 9am), but very fresh feel, very slight greasiness on the bottom, plenty of flakiness on top, and decent fluffiness inside. A good bite, yielding plenty of croissant shrapnel, a light but pleasant buttery taste, and just the right amount of chocolate. A winner. -- Pain Swisse: This varied from others I've had, not having the typical stringiness around the perimeter that feels like raw pasta to the bite, but that was a plus. The bigger noticeable divergence was a much-lighter-than-typical custard presence inside, deferring to the dominant, high quality dark chocolate. The dough around it had good flavor and a nice light crunch, so whether central casting Pain Swisse or not, this satisfied. -- Chocolate Chip Cookie: An unusual rendition, with a dough darker than typical and also boasting some red tint hinting at red velvet. Soft, deliciously rich, and buttery, with the chocolate having a nice melt to it even late in the morning. Salt added some contrast without going overboard as some do. -- Coffee: High in temperature, acidity, viscosity, and flavor. A good match for their baked goods. Overall, still living up to the promise of the first visit, and taking some license with the classic recipes is fine by me with their high level of execution.

Raspberry matcha latte, ham and gruyere croissant, pistachio bun
    Mel N.

Michette is cranking out some of the best croissants here! You can smell the bakery while walking down the street. The wait in line to get inside wasn't bad at all! I got a ham and gruyere croissant, a bun with pistachio cream, and a raspberry matcha latte (I think this was on the special/seasonal menu!). Everything is for takeout only. The croissant was so flaky and literally melted in my mouth. The raspberry matcha latte was smooth and perfectly sweet. The pistachio cream bun was not sweet enough for me, but was soft and had a nice texture. I'd love to come back and try the plethora of other baked goods and drinks they have to offer!

I'm in love, I'm obsessed (Rihanna voice). After a whole year later I finally made it back for my guava roll and tried the pistachio croissant and I love them both so much. I also got to try a breakfast focaccia and the passion fruit kouign amann which are good too. And I'm so excited that they are opening a new location near me!!! The somerville location is about a 30min walk each way... now they'll be a 10minute walk each way once they open in Cambridge. :D

Since moving to Somerville recently, Michette has become one of my favorite spots to grab a coffee and croissant to go. The space is very small, fit with a counter for check out and a display case with fresh baked goods of the day. This grab-and-go style bakery (no seating available) reminds me of the cute hole-in-the-wall cafes across Europe. Menu highlights : - Flaky and buttery croissants in multiple forms (sweet and savory) - Soft and flavorful focaccias offered in different styles - Other tasty treats like cookies, cinnamon rolls, etc.! - Delicious matcha lattes and pistachio lattes Every time I have stopped by I've been so happy with the service, and goodies! I will definitely become a regular here (:

I really love your croissants; they are honestly some of the best I have ever tasted. The crust is perfectly golden and flaky, while the inside remains incredibly soft, airy, and buttery. It is clear that a lot of care goes into the baking process here. I am already looking forward to my next visit so I can enjoy another one with a hot cup of coffee. Thank you for providing such a high-quality treat and excellent service. I will definitely be back soon!

    Ham, Dijon and Gruyère croissant

Walked by here and saw a crowd outside this bakery and decided to check it out. It's a tiny space with a lot of fresh baked options to choose from. I picked a croissant with ham, Gruyère cheese and Dijon mustard baked into which was delicious. I was tempted to take it home and warm it up a bit but ended up sitting out from of the bakery and eating it right away. The maple coffee was also delicious. As I sat out front more and more people walked in, who seemed like this was part of their regular Saturday morning routine. This might become mine now too.

Fantastic, flakey, and buttery pastries! This spot has a small coffee bar menu and daily variety of food. There is no indoor seating so plan to either sit outside if weather is nice or take back home with you. There are some meter parking spots out front. It is a bit on the pricey side but the product justifies the price point.

My go to cafe in this side of Somerville they have great pastries and solid drinks. I love that they also offer seasonal options as well. The space itself is small so it gets a little cramped and crowded when they get busy but the service is always quick so the line moves fast at least.

    Guava roll and almond croissant

This is the best bakery in Boston by far! I have been here a few times now and every single time the pastries are baked to perfection. I ordered ahead of time this time around and I am glad I did because everything I pre-ordered was already sold out by 10am on a Sunday morning. The service was quick and you can walk up if you have a pre-order which is nice. I got an almond croissant, ham and cheese croissant and a quava roll. Almond croissant was perfection! 9/10 Ham and cheese could do with more ham. 8/10 The quava roll was nice but I properly would try something new the next time. 8/10 I also got a cortado. I do prefer skim milk in my coffee but they didn't have any, which is weird but I did it with whole milk and I really enjoyed it! Broadsheet supply their coffee beans so I knew it would be nice! Have been 3 times now and will be back many more!!!

I've had their cookies and croissants which are AMAZING. I went on a Saturday on an incredibly rainy and cold day, and when I got there around 10 am, we had to wait outside for a moment until the line was shorter inside. The interior is really small but has a couple of standing areas to quickly eat and leave. They have monthly coffee specials and this month is peanut butter vanilla latte. This time, I got the sausage focaccia for $6.75. I think the ratio was off- the bread was too much for the little smattering of sauce and one piece of sausage per slice is not enough in my opinion. I was a little disappointed today

    Yangsoo S.

This was our second visit to Michette. Their pastries are always top notch and we enjoyed almond croissant , sesame pie, and chocolate pastry. We both got delicious pistachio latte. The prices were reasonable as well. The vibe is great and they also sell merchandises with their logo/art on them (tumbler, sock, pins, etc.). Service is quick and efficient!

This was the first thing I ever tried and it blew me away. It is very heavy but so yummy. The latte affogato is also delicious, probably because they use that coffee cream in it! The Americano is great with any of the coffee blends. The Nutella latte is also one of my favorites, especially if you like Nutella. The gingerbread affogato was great too! This is a seasonal item I think but if it's there definitely try it! Everything here is so great, and the rotating specials make it very easy to want to keep going back and trying new ones. That was a positive but also could be a quick way to make your price sky high with most additions being an extra dollar. They give you an order number that will be called when your order is ready. As we were waiting a worker did ask if we were waiting and for our order number and then they seemed to put a rush on making it and they apologized for the wait. We walked into a space that mixes communal tables, stadium-style seating, and smaller spots to sit, making it a place where you can stop in for a quick drink or stay longer with a laptop. The interior design is one of the biggest highlights, giving the cafe a more elevated experience compared to a typical coffee shop. The tiered seating in particular creates a visual dynamic that makes the room feel more intentional than your standard coffee counter. The drinks are the main focus here, especially the matcha, hojicha, and espresso-based options. We ordered the hojicha latte, which was one of the strongest items on the menu, with a deep roasted flavor and a smooth texture. The matcha has a more traditional earthy profile and leans less sweet, which works well if you prefer a more authentic matcha taste. The drinks are on the expensive side, but the quality of the ingredients and preparation make it feel more like a specialty cafe experience rather than a standard coffee stop. The food and dessert options add another reason to visit, with items like the egg sandwich, quiche, macarons, and hojicha desserts available depending on the day. The menu is smaller compared to a full brunch cafe, but it pairs well with the drinks and gives the visit more of a cafe-and-pastry feel. Service is friendly and the staff are knowledgeable about the drinks, which helps when choosing between the different Japanese tea options. The cafe can get busy, and seating is limited compared to the number of people who come through, but the layout gives it a unique character. Ogawa Coffee works well for specialty coffee and tea lovers looking for a more intentional cafe experience in Boston, especially if you enjoy Japanese-style drinks and a thoughtfully designed space.
