Horrible lack off communication and endless broken promises. Wanted to re-key a car trunk lock. The said fine drop off lock and spare key. Called and called and finally said that they couldn't fix it. I made countless arrangements to pick-up my key, including stopping by 3 times when they said someone would be at the shop. I finally told them to mail me the key and at that point the said that they threw it out. I had to have an new key blank programmed for $48.50 and wasted hours of time screwing around with this horrible company. read more

Had to get a new lock put on and the guy Charlie could not have been nicer. Definitely not the stereotypical service your expect. I would use them in a heartbeat next time I need a lock or am locked out of my house. read more

I called Monday evening and was told by Charlie that I would receive a call between 9am and 11am Tuesday morning for him to come to my house for an emergency. I never received a call. Went with another company. read more

I would have given this company 5 stars because of the timely response to an emergency situation being locked out of our business. Payment terms were never discussed when the calls was placed and agreement was made for service. We have used this company in the past with no issue. After service was complete I was handed the bill and I told him our cooperate office would send out a check today,(as we have done in the past), he agreed to that. Charlie went out to the cooperate office today looking for payment, when he was told the check would be put in the mail yesterday and it was. He was claiming he was told he would be paid by credit card that was never discussed. I am appalled that a company would go to another business like that demanding payment after the payment terms were agreed upon, and the fact that we are a business and have used this company in the past and have paid all previous invoices. Needless to say we will not be contacting 3 Rivers Locksmith for an future keying needs, which is a shame because there are several St. Moritz Companies. read more

DO NOT USE 3-Rivers Locksmith & Supply unless you want to drown in their river of greed, inept, deceitful and harmful business practices. If I could give them zero stars--I would. I simply needed a key made for my Kia Sephia so that i could move the car to organize and clean my garage. My dealer where I purchased the Kia is located in another state; the dealer efficiently looked up my file and provided the key code within 3 minutes which, according to the dealer, should have made this a very simple transaction. I called Charlie at 3-Rivers Locksmith & Supply late Thursday afternoon. He stated that it would be $80 for an after-hours key to be made if I picked it up. He also stated that if I could wait until the following morning the key would cost only $20 and he could have one of the drivers make the key around 9:30 AM. I told him that I would wait until Friday morning because I had two workers coming at 10 AM, but they could not start until the car was moved. At 9:23 on Friday morning, I called Charlie to verify that I could come pick up the key shortly after 9:30. He stated that he would call me back shortly. Almost an hour later, at 10:17, I called and spoke to Charlie again; he told me that I needed to call John who was at another job, but he had the special equipment needed to make a key from a key code. I immediately called John who stated that he was on a job in Greensburg, PA and would make the key and drop it back off at McKnight Road office for me. I told him that I had two workers that I was paying who were just standing around and I was willing to meet him since he had to pass near my location in order to go back to his office. He said that it was great and that he would be finished with his current job in about an hour. 1 1/2 hours later, John called to say that he was finishing up and could meet me, but the key cost would be $88. I told him the prices that Charlie quoted for this job. He said that meeting him required an $88 fee. I told him that I needed to check with Charlie because this was not at all what I was told. It was now close to NOON. I immediately called Charlie and he said that John now had a job in Wexford and could not meet me without an additional charge. I asked why wasn't I called when the Wexford job changed the parameters. NO ANSWER. Then I asked WHEN could I get a simple key made. He said that maybe around 3 or 4 PM when John would be back into the office. At 12:05, I called MONROEVILLE LOCK & SAFE CO. What a difference a phone call makes. I told them about my situation and they apologized for a colleague behaving so greedily. They charged me $15 which is their normal, everyday price for making a key from a key code!!!! The key was ready in 5 minutes--literally. I was still enroute to Monroeville Lock & Safe Co. when he called me to let me know that the key was ready and awaiting my arrival. I got there and handed him the money--and the RECEIPT was already prepared because he knew that I had workers on the clock. Monroeville Lock & Safe--My HERO! Needed a lock drilled, i shopped around with some local locksmiths. 3 rivers had the best price by far. Ny schedule is very busy and jectic, they were able to work with me no problem and next day. Easy to talk to too!!! read more
