I love that it's locally owned by a female entrepreneur, I love the mission, and I especially love the demeanor of the shop owner. All that being said, I can see how with one person only managing the store, there might be a little bit of a wait because the business owner does her best to give everyone the time and attention that they want and need. Or if the one person in the shop doesn't hear the alarm go off when someone enters and then said person makes zero noise, that person may not get any attention. Will definitely be coming here for all of my future liquid soap needs!!

I never got a chance to visit them at their last spot but this new spot near the beach and Main Street is an upgrade regardless! This place is pure fun stuff from head to toe, 70s to some current day items. I find myself saying out loud "Omg! I remember this!" several times while shopping here (I mean, the 80s & 90s were the best after all, ammirite?!). Well-organized, vibrant, easy to navigate BIG selection of things from nostalgic toys, games, books, collectibles... you name it....Ghostbusters, Mario, Star Wars, Hot Wheels, My Little Pony, Funko, etc. I'm not well-versed in the super nerdy things but my friend is and he goes nuts in here. The owner is really nice and is very knowledgeable about the products (which are more than reasonably priced). The owner is so knowledgeable in fact, that he takes part in the local Ventura Theater Toy Con twice a year (I believe he's the main guy behind it) which is SO SO much fun and I scored lots of unique things there last year. If you have not been, it is a must and happening this Saturday, June 22nd at 10am! I believe the next one is in November so mark your calendar :) Warning that you will spend time reminiscing in here but it's well worth it. Prices are also fair and the staff are friendly and welcoming. Wifey and I spent a good couple hours crate digging and exploring their selection. I ended up copping some niche vinyls that I haven't seen elsewhere like Galdive, Nala Sinephro, and BADBADNOTGOOD. I would highly recommend checking this spot out if you are ever in the area and looking to add to your vinyl collection!

To the right, there's a wonderful selection of children's books and cozy reading nooks. It was heartwarming to see kids sprawled out, reading and lost in their own worlds. There's also a table towards the back with charming cards for purchase. Their book selection is impressively diverse and thoughtfully curated, with many titles featuring staff recommendations and reviews. I especially enjoy horror/psychological thrillers and nonfiction memoirs, and there's plenty of those, as well as the newest, hottest books from social media (booktok). They have a rewards program and a monthly newsletter that's thoughtfully crafted giving us the scoop on new arrivals, events, and book recommendations. Their book club meets monthly and has a laid-back, low maintenance vibe making it perfect for busy people who just want to casually discuss a book. I happened to visit during one of these meetings, and it was so wholesome to see people sharing baked goods, laughter being heard, and enjoying each other's company. The atmosphere here feels like a true community, and it gives you those warm, fuzzy feelings.
