Great little spot. Visiting family in Ventura and I usually try to find the local cigar lounge when traveling. Small, but good, selection of cigars. Comfy couches and nice locals at the shop that were welcoming of new folks. Had some good conversation, couple of laughs. Definitely will be back whenever visiting. Finally. Just moved to Oxnard.. this is the first REAL cigar shop ive found. No Vapes in sight!! A good selection of quality cigars. Prices were good. Smokers castle!!! Visiting family in Ventura and was jonesing for a cigar. Stumbled upon smokers castle...and it was closed...we were early by 2 hrs....but the co-owner (forgot his name) lettus in waaaaay early anyways!!! Very nice guy very accommodating and apologetic for not having a clean bathroom (I had to go). Small humidor but good selection of cigars that I was familiar with so I bought a few. Absolutely love this place. I travel on business quite a bit and try to find a suitable cigar lounge in each city that I visit. Smokers Castle is far-and-away the best place to sit back and light up in Ventura. The "regulars" are eager to introduce themselves and make you feel at home: a huge plus! Several big leather sofas and rockers in which to sit back and chat with the locals. If I am in Ventura, I visit this place. Period. read more

This is First time in here and all I have to say is that the smokers castle is a friendly group of people who like to hang out and smoke cigars. They have a fine selection of sticks, comfortable leather couches, tv's with the game on, soft drinks also surprisingly they were open and they didn't insist I wear a silly mask. This is a great place to have a cigar, hang out, watch a game, and indulge in adult conversation with people of all ages, interests, and sexes. You'll be treated like family, but don't let that discourage you. I used to go to Friday night happy hours, but between the cigar (or two) and the free adult beverages, I'm usually feeling a little rough the next morning. That's not the fault of Smokers Castle, though. It has more to do with the cigar smoke and my inability to decline free Scotch, Bourbon, or other spirits. read more

This is a classic tobacco shop with a great selection of cigars, pipes and any other tobacco accesories you could think of. They have cigars in a broad range of price points and the staff is freindly, very knowledgeable, and very good about answering questions without making you feel ignorant. This is one of very few shops that provides a lounge to smoke in as well. Every time I've been there, I've found good company in the other cigar and pipe smokers (both men AND women) that were enjoying the shop. They even have a cigar "happy hour" on Friday nights with discounts, a raffle, and a lovely hostess pouring something nice to drink. read more

My wife and I stopped by to visit the Smoke Castle while we were visiting in Ventura. It was recommended by a friend. First off the lounge was great with a huge selection. I had a La Flor Dminican and my wife had a Java. Great cigars! The best thing about the Castle was its owner Bob. He was very hospitable and spent close to an hour with us. Good number of pipes on display, some Savinelli, Peterson, off brands and meerschaum. Also have a good selection of pipe tobaccos, my favorite Planta Bilberry. If you are into cigars, there is a good selection of those too, with walk in humidor. For pipe and cigar this is the best place in Ventura. read more

Smokers castle is the last real tobacco shop in town. The owner is friendly and hospitable. If you are a pipe smoker. I highly recommend the "Windward passage" blend. It is the only blend I will smoke out of my favorite pipes. read more

This is a nice small place. Nothing fancy but friendly service. They do not have a lot of product but you can relax and smoke till your ready to go. Wished they had more of a selection on pipe tobacco. I hate to order online. This always works when you are in a bind for some tobacco. read more

This place is awesome... a true lounge with multiple chill areas and TVs, full walk-in humidor, and off-street parking. I came in last year having smoked before, but not really knowing much--Scott got me going with a few mild starters and has been a great reference as I've learned more and now appreciating the subtleties of different cigar brands and styles. The place feels like your wealthy uncle's downstairs man-cave... There is usually a bbq going out back on weekends and there is a bottle shop right across the street to grab a few cold bevies. 5-stars for good location, great selection, knowledgeable staff, ample size, and cool vibe. read more

We were visiting the Ventura area this weekend and heard so many great things about this place, that we just had to try it. There were gentleman smoking and watching a giant T V. There is actually 3 tv's to watch. Very nice! They have a very large selection of cigars.They also have everything one would need or use to smoke. They also have water and soft drinks for sale. Huge comfortable couches to relax and watch a game, enjoy your cigar and meet new friends. My husband picked up 2 cigars and smoked one there. Here we were over 2 hours away from home and talking to the gentlemen they had friends in common. We highly recommend this cigar shop. It feels like you are sitting at home with a bunch of friends.
