I visited this location before it burnt down, and while it was good then, it was AMAZING when I went back this week. My friend and I both ordered bacon cheeseburgers and fries, and I kid you not, the burger was the best I've ever had. The bun was toasted (and I think buttered?), the patty was juicy and flavorful, and the bacon was thick. I added raw onions as well, which was a nice touch if you're an onion lover like myself. The fries were crisp and fresh, as well. I ordered regular ones this time, but I think next time I'll try the seasoned fries... they're probably even more delicious. I got the Meat Lover's Burger and it was an explosion of meaty deliciousness in my mouth. The burger itself isn't the best quality (but it's good) - it was all the other meats on it that made for a pretty great burger overall anyway. Fries were good. But avoid the hotdog - I know no one actually comes here to get a dog, but we had our 2 year old with us so we got it for him. It was disgusting to look at and he was disgusted by it as well and wouldn't touch it. Worst & most unappetizing hot dog I've ever seen in my life (and I enjoy NYC dirty water dogs). My girlfriend and I went here for lunch the other day. 24 different burgers (including chicken) available daily and then a monthly burger (that's the 25). I had the BBQ Chicken burger and my girlfriend had the vegetarian burger. We split an order of onion rings. Everything was very good. Bar none one of the best burger joints in the state. This place has more burgers then I will ever try but having 6 of the 25 burgers so far I can say that my favorite is probably the Bullseye followed by the Bacon Cheeseburger and El Paso. Very very similar to 5 Guys Chain in appearance and style. Red n white checker board motif with burgers only cooked well done. Now....25 Burgers goes way beyond 5 Guys in offering a wide variety of specialty burger choices. Turkey, chicken, lamb, buffalo, etc. If you like a grilled burger than you should stop here when in Jersey. Trade up the normal fries for sweet potato fries. This is a must. Nothing fancy just get what you order. The burgers are large and plenty of food for the super sized diet minded person. I however chose the smaller burger option. Wow what an awesome burger place. They have so many different kinds you can get and they're really delicious. The three of us were quite impressed that you could get a burger that's this tasty and not a wimpy little patty for lunch! Omg i got sweet potatoe fries and they gave me honey mustard sauce without me begging for it. Fries are usually a good indication of a good me. To me anyway because i am a carb queen. They didnt give us a difficult time about requiring a seedless bun (for some reason the request is returned with an attitude). Stewart soda is always a plus and my chipotle burger didnt disspoint. It is a burger joint. What can I say? They have a ton of choices for toppings and a lot of off-the-wall delicious stuff you can put on, too. They're messy, greasy, but delicious. They are really good at cooking the patties so they're not dry, but they have a nice crispiness outside. I really like the El Paso Burger and the Gyro Burger. I have yet to try the chicken. Now the downsides. The music is always too loud (apparently even at 26 I have the mentality of an 86 year old) and really repetitive, but I'd rather hear oldies this way than most other types of music, so I am okay with it. I've never been served HOT crispy french fries. They always seem soggy and luke warm. I've also never experienced a friendly employee here. Lastly I can't eat there if I'm doing ANYTHING else that day because the greasy smell STICKS all over my clothes. read more

Been wanting to check out this place for a long time, and my husband and I hit it up with our toddler today for lunch. The good: My husband and I got burgers, an order of fries to share, and two shakes. The burgers were absolutely spot-on delicious. Well done, but not dry. Nicely seasoned. I got the bacon cheeseburger with an egg, and he got a meat lovers burger and we were very happy. I actually really liked the fries too, and I'm not one to be impressed by fries. We ate every last one and I wished I had gotten my own order! The bad: Not that it was necessarily "bad", but the Butterfinger Shake was just a vanilla shake with peanut butter in it. I would have ordered it even if it were called a Peanut Butter Shake, but because of the name, I was expecting something different. My son got a hot dog and fries, and the hot dog was seriously gross. He didn't eat a bite (past the one he spit out), and normally I would have tried it, but it looked so outrageously disgusting that I didn't dare. Overall, I thought it was very good. I have also begun a love affair which is something no longer on the menu but they still make it and its just the same ..the Cajun Chicken Sandwich. I expected more based off of these Yelp reviews... If you really want a burger, but you're a little indecisive about what kind...this is your place. They literally have 25 different burgers, including turkey and black bean burgers. Definitely a 5-star selection. But I was really annoyed at how long it took to get our food, and how mentally deficient the staff was...not sure if they were high or just stupid. It wasn't busy in there, but they fucked up our order (and the guy ahead of us), so the counter area became a big disaster area of confusion as everyone ripped open their wrappers and tried to explain what they were supposed to get... I wish the burger was fat and greasy like a 5 Guys burger, but nope. The patty was on the thin side and pretty dry/flavorless. However...the rest of the burger redeemed it. I had the Maui Burger. Grilled pineapple, glazed ham, really awesome bun. Would have blown my mind if it was a better patty. I'll give it another shot. read more

Burger and fries where great. Another reviewer mention the soda being flat. Mine wasn't flat but the 5:1 ratio that it should be seem off. They may need to have there unit tuned up. Other then that as stated service was ok a little wait but well worth it for a very tasty burger made to order. Will be going back again read more

Seen this place opened for a while, but had it for the first time this weekend since my parents (who don't really eat burgers and unhealthy things) raved about it. Turns out it was FANTASTIC. It's probably the best burger I've had in a while... or even the best one that I can remember. Definitely competes with the best. The burgers are juicy and have fresh toppings w/o being over the top. (I tried the original burger and had a few bites of the Mushroom Swiss, both are great) Prices are very reasonable (6-6.50) and I highly recommend this over other places and is better than some of the other chains like 5 guys IMO. I'm really not sure why I've been avoiding 25 Burgers. It's been around for a few years now and though I was a die hard Big Daddy's person, my sister and I stopped in to grab a late lunch yesterday. WOW. What took me so long?? The food here is better than any chain I've been to. Better than Five Guys, LEAGUES better than Red Robin, and fast food doesn't hold a candle. The restaurant is teeny tiny but the food was well worth it. My sister got the $5 burger and fries special and I got the Chicken Cordon Bleu burger with a side of bacon cheese fries. They were very polite with honoring our requests for certain toppings to be omitted. My chicken burger was grilled perfectly - still juicy and not dry at all, and the ham/bacon/swiss combo was amazing. The real star here is the bun - a real bakery bun, baked that morning. Delicious! But the fries -- oh, the fries! -- may have stolen the show. The bacon cheese fries ended up being the seasoned fries, which were fantastic. They weren't too spicy (which I find Five Guys's cajun fries to be) and they weren't too greasy. The cheese sauce was just zesty enough and definitely not nacho cheese, which I see too many places having these days - and the bacon was real crumbled bacon, like someone had fried it up and then hand broke it over the fries. Prices are reasonable (no more than $8 for one of the specialty burgers) and service is fast and friendly. Needless to say I may have another 24 burgers - and then some! - to try. :) read more

Just moved to New Jersey in June and my husband is a huge burger man!!! So the search for a good solid burger has begun. Came into 25 Burgers after reading the good reviews, the place is small so definitely a "get your burger on and run" kind of place. The girls behind the counter were very sweet and had fun talking with my kids. Burgers were good, fries were good but I do have to say I probably would have enjoyed them more if the A/C was working. Unfortunately it was hot and sticky in there as all get up so we just wanted to eat and get out of there into the sanctuary of our car's A/C. My husband didn't finish all his burger which is crazy unusual but he just couldn't take being uncomfortable. We will definitely go back and give it another try maybe in the cooler months! read more

dear yelpers who reviewed 25 burgers, y'all are great. without you, I never would have found this dope little burger haven. I would've missed out on greasy but not-too-greasy, deliciously topped burgers that rival the likes of smashburger, bobby's burgers, and five guys. these are even better. no lie. I would've suffered with leafy lettuce on my patty. not here, though. 25 burgers knows whassup and dumps a cute mound of thinly shredded lettuce between your burger and those buns. shredded lettuce is so underrated. I wouldn't have managed to keep my shirt clean while eating... thankfully the buns here are able to contain most of the burger juices (pro tip: when you get it, flip your burger upside-down. the top of the bun becomes the bottom, and will hold the leakage situation together so you don't end up a runny mess. you can thank me later.) I wouldn't have had the pick between 25 burger creations... seeing all of the options is always fun, though it takes forevs for me to make a choice. I wouldn't have enough moneys left over to go buy that new purse I've been eyeing. seriously, the burgers here are super reasonably priced, as are the sides. Yay for I wouldn't have gotten a fun people-watching experience... this place isn't the fanciest, or even slightly nice- they could use some maintenance in the dining area and that bathroom! but you may some see some interesting stuff. so, THANK YOU. and bring me a burger, stat. kthanks, me read more

I had been waiting for a long time to get to this place and I finally did. After reading great reviews and hearing great things, I was super pumped to go. I went at about 2pm on a weekday and the place was absolutely packed - great sign. The parking lot is not very big, so if the place is full, parking can definitely become a bit of an issue. I went with the Bullseye BBQ burger and my wife went with the classic cheeseburger. The burgers are a nice 7 oz size. They don't ask you how you would like it cooked, but the burgers seemed to be on the medium well side. When you get your burger, it is almost perfectly constructed wrapped in tissue paper. I thought the burger was very good - tasty, juicy and it had a great combination of toppings. A major plus for the burger I had was the miami onion bun. Very good and most burger places do not offer anything other than your standard bun. We also had the fries. They are almost like a seasoned steak fry - if that makes any sense. I am more of a shoestring fry fan and I just wasn't too impressed by the fries. They were just OK. I did see some people eating onion rings and they looked very good. I will definitely give them a shot next time. All in all, it was a very successful trip and I will definitely be heading back... read more

I'll have to try 25 Burgers in the summer since I hate to eat fully clothed with layers shivering. Went here with my girlfriend and it was freezing inside....as in no heat.....mid winter. I know it can get hot behind the counter but come on. I will confirm that there are 25 burgers on the menu with lots of different toppings. My burger was cooked Med.Rare as I requested...a simple task that for some reason is almost impossible in most places. Where I had a problem was that there was no bottom bun. I'm sure at some point there was one but the amount of grease that came off my burger had turned it to mush. I love a juicy burger....when the juices are on the inside. If in the area I will give 25 Burgers a try, but living in Milltown I will not be taking a 25 minute hike out there any time soon. read more

When 25 Burgers first opened, it was phenomenal - great food, great portions, great prices. Unfortunately, they started to go downhill once they began opening new locations, and now the quality has really slipped to substandard. I used to eat at 25 Burgers once every other week or so and told all my friends about it. Now I've only been back maybe 3 times in the last 6 months, and each time has been just a little worse than the last. I think I'm finally done with them and won't be going back - this last time was just to use up the "free burger" offer on a completed loyalty card, and I regretted it.
