I wanted to like 22 West Tap and Grill more than I actually did. Occupying the space previously known as The Office Bar & Tavern, 22 West is a nice, casual tavern setup right on Route 22 with a solid-looking menu featuring a wide variety of burgers, sandwiches, and entrees. I recently met a friend at 22 West for a few drinks and dinner. We got there at the tail end of Happy Hour and enjoyed a couple of locally-produced draft beers. The food itself was perfectly okay -- nothing mind-blowing, but decent enough for a casual bite. We shared a dozen chicken wings and both thought they were pretty good. I had a turkey burger and french fries -- which was well-executed and filling. Looking at their website, it seems as if they've changed up their menu since my visit late last month.. but, I'm not sure I'm going back to try it again because the service really dragged our experience down. We sat at the bar and the staff behind the rail barely paid attention to us and seemed ambivalent about our presence at best. The biggest issue for me happened when I went to the men's restroom and found the soap dispenser completely empty. On the way back to my seat, I mentioned it to the hostess so it could be addressed by the staff and asked if she had any hand sanitizer. She just told me it was her first day on the job and she didn't know who to ask about either. Leaving a restroom without soap is bad enough, but a front-of-house staff member completely brushing off a basic hygiene issue because she didn't want to find a manager is just really bad customer service. It's a convenient spot with decent pub food, but they definitely need to tighten up their service and basic restroom maintenance.
Great ambience, cool rotating specials, and fun karaoke and band nights! The flavor of the food can be somewhat lacking, it's hit or miss (but never truly bad!) The service can also be a bit slow sometimes, they don't always seem to staff the place adequately on their busy nights. But for a casual/chill American dining experience, 22 West is your spot!
Came back for a quick girls night. Nothing crazy: Burgers, wings and drinks. Everyone was pretty content with their food. Only the margarita pizza was so-so. Service was slow because it was a busy Friday and there was karaoke up front.
We met the owner at TD Stadium in Bridgewater and he was a real down to earth person. He recommended the Chicken sandwich special who was full of flavor and spicy delicious. We've also been to their bar restaurant which is very cool seating, bright lighting and geared towards community interaction.
Held a group happy hour here and they were fantastic - Nixie(?) and team were helpful, managed to keep us in-budget, gave us space to help us be a bit isolated away from the rest of the restaurant so that the forty or so of us that showed up didn't overwhelm the rest. Love the service and the help! Mac & cheese in the hot pan was a hit, as was the garbage pail nachos, they needed to have a few more plates, napkins, and forks around (the staffers had to go find more), but overall people were very happy with the event. Thanks for hosting us! Parking lot is a bit crowded - watch out for people coming off 22 as they tend to go fast.
Have been here a couple times and had a good experience. Service is friendly and food has been good. Love the option to build your own sandwich by just filling out a slip they bring to your table. Only downside is that it is extremely noisy depending on where you sit.
Visited for lunch with a friend. The hot honey pizza was A+ and my friend really enjoyed her turkey club sandwich. The fries were seasoned well. The drinks from the cocktail menu were not great we could not taste any rum. Sent one back and ordered a other drink and it was better. Definitely would return for a relaxed lunch.
22 West Tap & Grill is a gastropub/bar nestled along Route 22 in Bridgewater, NJ. I've been there 3 times in the past few years as it's one of our go-to spots for meeting up with friends in this part of central NJ. They have live music and events like trivia certain nights of the week. Food quality has definitely varied over my 3 visits, but is overall above average in quality over the many run-of-the mill bars in the area. For appetizers, I'd recommend their wings (4/5) and fresh fried mozzarella. The first time I had the fried mozzarella, it was easily 5/5 in quality and one of the best recipes of it I've had; however, they had run out of them on my 2nd visit, and were of 4/5 quality in my last visit, as it seemed a bit dry, and not as flavorful as when I first had them, but still among the best I've had in taste overall. We had trash can nachos (2.5/5) on our last visit, but they were very underwhelming in chip/queso taste, and served with pretty dry and unappetizing chicken, so likely wouldn't order them again. On all our visits, the burgers (4/5) have been reliably solid, being cooked to order and fully customizable with buns/ingredients. The fries & onion tings (3.5/5) have been decent, but likely wouldn't pay the $4 upgrade charge again to switch to onion rings from fries as the quality wasn't worth the price differential. Service (3.5/5) has been generally friendly with each visit. I've noticed quite the drop in customers as the last time I visited on a Saturday evening, the place wasn't too busy, with plenty of empty tables, and there was no live music as advertised. Overall, I'd rate 22 West somewhere between a 3.5 and 4 out of 5 stars, as it's been a reliable option for food despite some inconsistencies from meal to meal, and definitely a step or two above the quality of bar/pub type chain restaurants.
Great lunch specials menu! Got 1/2 sandwich turkey club and Cesar salad very fresh. Sat at the bar, great service! Nice cold beers on tap!
22 west was a great place which was both entertaining and had some great food. The inside was very industrial looking which is my personal favorite design in restaurants. The live band was fantastic and brought a nice vibe to the restaurant. We went for a friends birthday and I did not drink but my friends said the drinks were very good and the girls loved the espresso martinis. The service was only ok but for as busy as it was I cannot complain. We got the fried pickles and the trashcan nachos. The nachos were average but the fried pickles were the best I've ever had. Me and my girlfriend ordered the Mac attack and the bacon bonanza burger and split them and they were both fantastic. I can see why this place is popular and look forward to returning again.
Was lucky enough to attend a Yelp Elite event here which was amazing! We were welcomed with small bites which were great and also got a ticket for a drink. The pretzels were my favorite as they were a bit crunchy and came with a sort of queso dip. The mozzarella sticks are a must have when you come here so make sure you stop in!
We really enjoyed dinner at 22 West Tap in Bridgewater, New Jersey. The menu has a great variety, but the build your own burger was a standout especially on the toasted sourdough. Our favorite appetizers here are the jumbo wings and the Trash Can Nachos--both are must-orders. This is a casual spot for great finger food, whether you're watching the game or just hanging out with friends and family. One thing I really appreciate is that the food comes out relatively quickly, and the servers are always friendly. It's become our family's go-to place for casual get-togethers, especially on game days. read more

Service was very fast and prices were cheap, however the food itself was pretty average to lousy. I did not get the memo but this place is for if you want cheap food/drinks and line dancing / special events like bingo or trivia. You're not going to be impressed by the food but that's clearly not the point, just come here for a good time with friends. Chicken and waffles was a small portion and in desperate need of additional maple syrup. French Onion soup was not overly flavorful and challenging to eat, handle on bowl practically burned my hand lol. read more

Have been here before and was disappointed yet this time food was taken up a notch . We sat in the back room which was quiet and very bright (may want to dim the lights a little ) Waiter was attentive and friendly . We got a variety of dishes from fish and chips to salmon to pork sandwich t hot pulled pork on brioche by very flavorful with seeet coleslaw on top and crunchy fries . All were neatly presented and hot with good flavors. Desserts are rich and yummy if you have room . Lots of varieties of drinks and pomegranate cider on tap is a must to try. Everyone left full and happy with moderate prices. read more
Stopped by for lunch with a friend, and immediately we noticed the nice decor! We were greeted by our server (I think his name is Andre) and he was super cool! My friend and I ended up ordering two burgers from the "make your own" section, which were SO delicious. One of the best burgers I've had in a while! It's a bit far from where we usually travel to, but my friend and I agreed to come back soon lol. This place is really good. Definitely recommend stopping by and trying their burgers, although they have many menu options to choose from if you'd prefer something else. :) read more

5 stars. The server was attentive, the ambiance was calm, and the food was delish! They have Blue Moon on tap, so we were already headed in the right direction. I ordered the Caesar salad, ribeye steak with a blue cheese crust (so good!). I am not a fan of blue cheese, but I promise you it is worth the try. I had their pumpkin cheesecake for dessert which was the perfect small portion for me. They also have a nice bar with several TVs for watching the games . Maybe I'll eventually be able to catch their bingo or other fun nights. read more

The restaurants itself is really nice and spacious. Our waitress was super attentive and friendly. There was a group of young kids next to us and she mentioned if they got too loud to let her know which I thought was going above and beyond to make sure we had a good dining experience. I ordered a burger which I really enjoyed. I would definitely return. read more

To be quite honest parking and walking into the place I was pleasantly surprised how nice it was. Parking is simple and it wasn't crowded but still alot of pple for a Sunday. Cleaniness seemed good although I didn't look around everywhere. Service and menu was okay not same as what I saw online but that's okay. I ordered short rib Bolognese and french onion soup. Now the soup was great but the meal was mediocre at mest there was no short rib or Bolognese mostly sauce for $30 I could got something better at family pizza shop honestly. I'll add photos because I was really checking like where is some meat. Also my order was ordered to go with no utensils make that make sense read more
