I have hear alot about this place. I came here with a few coworkers. I was told about the Matilda drink. The host was very accommodating with recommending we eat inside instead of outside. I ate 4 out of the 6 rolls before and after my entree because they were so tasty, and my friend had the other 2 rolls. I also loved the Pork Chop cooked medium, which was juicy and tender with slivers of delicious fat. The large Pork Chop sat on top of a bed of pilaf and kale, which seemed to be well seasoned. I washed it all down with a Noda Brewery Pumpkin Ale. Notes: Super cute restaurant with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. They used it to just kick your tastebuds a little and balance what is now officially an overused sweet potato as an ingredient. Makes me wonder what they could do with an avocado. Aces all around - Laura was among the best waitstaff person we have ever run into, the cocktails were well made, the wine selection was broad and affordable, and the food was exquisite. While all entrees were wonderful, the Bronzed Sesame Salmon was totally out of this world - cooked perfectly and seasoned so extraordinarily well! My strawberry shortcake dessert looked nothing like I expected; but, overbite was exquisite - intense strawberry flavor throughout. The meal was paced quite well and we found it quite relaxing to be able to take our time and enjoy our meal with absolutely no feeling of being rushed. Elizabeth, our server, was amazing: friendly, respectful, she know all the plates and made some recommendations and was always ready to answer any questions we had. We ordered a custard filled French toast as an appetizer but instead of vanilla, it had a lemon custard that was delicious! It came with caramel walnut that were delicious: they even had a little salt on them. I had the breakfast nachos that featured home made chips, two eggs, pico, guac, black beans, etc. I asked that they add bacon to the mix because bacon makes the world go round! We also tried their crab Benedict's with pepper jelly on the side. Everything was fresh, delicious and needless to say, we will be back on our next visit to Charlotte! read more

We arrived for a pre-matinee brunch and were sat at one of the small booths by the window. This place feels very quaint and personal, like you're sitting in someone's living room. It is in strong contrast with every other restaurant that feels 'corporate'. There are lots of vintage fireplaces and interesting things to look at. I asked our very friendly server if it is possible to get a hot toddy even thought it wasn't on the menu and without hesitation, the bartender made one of the best hot toddy's I have ever tasted!
