Came here on Wednesday evening for dinner. Sat at the bar and was immediately greeted by bartender Dustin. He offered me the wine and beer menu, cocktail menu and food menu. After perusing, I ordered a Tequila Mucho -- listed as a chefs special cocktail with pomegranate juiced tequila. It was refreshing. I chose the bourbon salmon large plate with two sides for my meal and it was very flavorful. Then I chose a blueberry lemon cheesecake dessert since Dustin said the cheesecakes were made in house and it sweet and tart and delicious. Overall, I enjoyed my experience and will be back! I LOVED this place! Randomly found it on Open Table for a somewhat early Galentine's Dinner and we had such a great time! They had a special Valentine's Day menu and their normal menu as well. I got the bourbon salmon with Parmesan risotto and broccolini. The salmon was cooked perfectly and the risotto and broccolini were well seasoned. I also ordered the zucchini fries which were great as well. Some other great hits at the table were the Baked Rigatoni and Marry Me Salmon (Valentine's specials), truffle fries, Tiger steak, Boom Boom Shrimp, Turkey Meatballs, and the Philly egg rolls. Some were not a fan of the lobster egg rolls, lamb lollipops, and the red velvet cheesecake. Though they weren't terrible, friends felt these items lacked flavor and were just okay. It's a great space for groups and definitely would recommend making a reservation. Later in the evening, they had live music. The piano player was great and created such a fun atmosphere! So first time here at this location and it was pretty empty for a Monday. I love that they have specials each day, can't beat specials on food. Plenty of parking as it shares parking with other businesses. I ordered the octopus and it was good, just wished there was more than one piece for the price. The corn was okay. Was expecting more of a sweet risotto look but it was still good. Also ordered the chicken lettuce wrap, it was decent but not enough lettuce. Nothing special with it. The service was good. Nice friendly staff. The inside is pretty. Ambiance is a great spot for any occasion. They also have a private room for a party. Like that they have a lot of stuff to choose from on the menu. I am incredibly disappointed by this location. For several weeks, I planned a Group reservation for my farewell brunch day after my wedding with over 40 guests attending. We discussed all the important aspects of this day and the owner, Joe, and manager, Jay, assured me that everything was covered leading up to the reservation. Someone even called me to confirm the details the day before, which was my wedding day. On the day of my reservation, none of those details were honored. One server showed up. They didn't even provide brunch menus to my guest. The food came out painfully slow, and was subpar. Afterwards, I tried to discuss this with the owner, Joe, and whereas he was incredibly responsive before, when confirming the details of the reservation, he was non-responsive after I asked to meet and speak with him and the manager. I will never support tap and vine again, nor will I be recommending it to anyone. My guests incredibly disappointed and they will not be providing business to this restaurant either. Please consider this warning, Tap and Vine is not capable of handling group reservations, or following through on anything that they say, or maintaining reliable staff and management for that matter. Selected this restaurant based on the raving Yelp reviews and it lived up to the hype. Soothing atmosphere, we arrived very early for dinner service so it was very quiet, which was nice. Husband enjoyed the Brown Sugar Old Fashion and Shrimp Scampi. Said shrimp were perfectly cooked and sauce was very good. I had a glass of Pinot Noir and the Pappardelle Bolognese, which was fantastic. Delicious meat sauce topped with a goat cheese crema . More space to accommodate more people without creating a lot of noise. Great menu, servers are personable and accommodating. There are specials. Delicious food and good service equals a great dinner experience. We had the all you can eat crablegs and the Trout dinner. The crablegs were delicious- a bit too salty for my taste but they accommodated my tastes by not adding the old bay seasoning which really in my opinion helped. I could actually taste the crab . Not just a mouth full of salt . Hubs had the Trout wrapped in bacon with veggies. He said it was delicious. We ended the dinner with Tiramisu and coffee. That tiramisu was absolutely delicious! The manager Katelyn is by far the best people pleaser servant leader over ever seen run a restaurant. She came over several times to check on us and our experience. New to this specific area... I take my wife / kids out to eat 2 -3 times per week & order in at least once per week. Let's start here. Lights up way too high. It's dark out.. what's the saga? Dim the lights! I will pay more for a drink! There was a Baby's Shower going on and when they started leaving out they decided to stop near our table and carry on for 25 additional minutes. I couldn't believe how ignorant the entire group was and the manager said nothing to them. We then told our waiter. He was a new employee and agreed with us. The to make matters worse the staff decided to start moving high top chairs around and dragging them onto the floor which was so annoying & this went on for about 10 minutes as if it was the beginning of their shift when it was not! Despite the difficult location (shoehorned in a corner of a strip center) they lucked out with keeping much of the prior tenant's decor and settings. The good : we walked in without reservations on a Friday around 6:45. The hostess was super nice and sat us after a 10 minute wait. Our server was engaging and responsive despite managing a lot of tables. The wine list is limited but pours are made by carafe at the table and were generous. They offer both crab soup and lobster bisque; our server advised the lobster was a better choice and it was. Good amount of seafood, a nice Sherry finish and some crackers The so-so : the recommended blackened Mahi sandwich was fast-food (pint) sized and dry despite good flavor. Chicken Marsala was overcooked and bland with a weak wine sauce. The overall menu leans Italian American with some steak options thrown in. Would like to see some improvement from the kitchen to make this a solid go-to in an area that needs one but with limited competition, they'll need a push. read more

I had the pleasure of rolling into Tap and Vine at Quail Hollow today. My second visit. My server Leila was spot on , explained the menu and we settled on the Chicken Cesar Wrap and Chicken Piccata . The wrap was excellent and you could tell the Chef made the Cesar dressing from scratch! The chicken piccata was excellent with a true balance of capers and lemon that was delicious. Came in at an awkward time on Saturday at 2:45PM for a "linner". Sat at the bar with my husband and everything was great. My French onion soup was delicious. Was torn on what to order for my meal and after much deliberation took a chance on the fettuccine Alfredo. I say that because i don't eat it often but it can be bland at some places. That was not the case here- very flavorful and surprisingly myself with the help of my husband finished the whole thing. He also enjoyed the chili. Service was prompt- bartender was great and allowed my husband to grab the remote and put the Hornets game on. My one complaint is the drinks are pretty pricey. Husband got Rain brand vodka soda with splash of pineapple juice and it was $12. An entire *half gallon* of Rain costs $20 at the liquor store so was kind of shocked to be charged $12 for that brand.
