    Octopus

So first time here at this location and it was pretty empty for a Monday. I love that they have specials each day, can't beat specials on food. Plenty of parking as it shares parking with other businesses. I ordered the octopus and it was good, just wished there was more than one piece for the price. The corn was okay. Was expecting more of a sweet risotto look but it was still good. Also ordered the chicken lettuce wrap, it was decent but not enough lettuce. Nothing special with it. The service was good. Nice friendly staff. The inside is pretty. Ambiance is a great spot for any occasion. They also have a private room for a party. Like that they have a lot of stuff to choose from on the menu. Delicious.

Great restaurant and bar! They have great food and many drink options including craft beer on tap. They have a full bar and wine list too. I mostly go because of the food though because it never disappoints! Everything that I have ever had from here was top notch! The service has always been great and I really like the atmosphere and vibe too! Every time I visit here I feel better so that tells me all I need to know!

    Pappardelle Bolognese

Selected this restaurant based on the raving Yelp reviews and it lived up to the hype. Soothing atmosphere, we arrived very early for dinner service so it was very quiet, which was nice. Husband enjoyed the Brown Sugar Old Fashion and Shrimp Scampi. Said shrimp were perfectly cooked and sauce was very good. I had a glass of Pinot Noir and the Pappardelle Bolognese, which was fantastic. Delicious meat sauce topped with a goat cheese crema . Perfect ratio of pasta to sauce and was neither too dry nor too much sauce. Our server Austin was taking care of the house plus the bar and did a good job. Recommend!

Steak taco - big as a side plate and loaded

Saw they had a bar special of two tacos and a house margarita got $15 and decided to stop in... Choice of steak, chicken or fried shrimp tacos and they were delicious. Big and overstuffed, full of vegetables and enough spice to keep it interesting. Bar was clean, not crowded at all but a really relaxed vibe.

My wife and I popped in for an early dinner based on positive Yelp! reviews by others. My wife got the Pappardelle Bolognese and I got the Shrimp Scampi. Both dishes were delicious! Our server (Austin) was very attentive. This neat little restaurant is quite a surprise for being in a strip shopping center.

Delicious food and good service equals a great dinner experience. We had the all you can eat crablegs and the Trout dinner. The crablegs were delicious- a bit too salty for my taste but they accommodated my tastes by not adding the old bay seasoning which really in my opinion helped. I could actually taste the crab . Not just a mouth full of salt . Hubs had the Trout wrapped in bacon with veggies. He said it was delicious. We ended the dinner with Tiramisu and coffee. That tiramisu was absolutely delicious! Two thumbs way up !

Always consistent in service, quality of food and ambiance. I had the burger and fries today which was TOPS. The manager Katelyn is by far the best people pleaser servant leader over ever seen run a restaurant. She came over several times to check on us and our experience. This is my highest recommendation of all the places I've been to anyone. Just go and enjoy this place.

The ambiance/vibe was very good here. Always seem to have live music going from 7-10pm. The bartender was incredibly kind and gracious. Not too pushy either, which is a plus. I got a Chilean cab and it was very good, but a tad pricey. Their arincini was very very good! Large serving size as well!

Chicken Piccata, Filet Medallions and Drink Menu

Delicious food, Arancini and flatbread appetizers both were amazing. Chicken Piccata & Filet Medallions both hit a Grand Slam. French Onion soup was "on point" as was our Server, Austin. He was tremendous! 10/10 - ambience was excellent. Tap & Vine at Quail Corners deserves a perfect rating!

Atlantic salmon Oscar with bearnaise sauce
    Andrew W.

Had new server Savannah who was professional and knowledgeable. We've been to Tap & Vine before, and we always have a good experience with delicious food and good service. This was no different. Tried the special for the Atlantic salmon Oscar which was well-seasoned and great. The chicken parm was also very good. Sat outside and enjoyed the sunset under the soft lighting. We will be back.

    Siting in corner booth!

I had high hopes for this restaurant when I made a reservation for Valentine's Day, but…read moreunfortunately, the experience fell far below expectations. While I take full responsibility for arriving 15 minutes late, I was shocked at how rudely the hostess--who we later learned was the manager--handled the situation. Rather than a simple acknowledgment of the delay, or improbability of getting a table, she made a point to shame us, emphasizing that accommodating us would be an extra burden for her. This set an uncomfortable tone from the start. When she begrudgingly seated us at a table that had somehow magically become available, she made another unnecessary comment, implying that I should do my part to not make her job so difficult again. My partner was immediately put off and suggested we leave, but I decided to give the restaurant another chance, assuming the manager might just be having a rough night. Unfortunately, things did not improve. The food, best described as uninspired frozen bar fare from the main Duckworth's kitchen, took over 30 minutes to arrive--and even then, it was served before our drinks. When the drinks finally did arrive, they were nothing exceptional. I ordered a French 75, and my partner had a Paloma, only to realize that even the drinks had come from downstairs at Duckworth's. Given the restaurant's supposed reputation, I was surprised that it didn't have its own bar, unlike how things are set up at The Cellar. The only redeeming aspect of our visit was our waitress, who was pleasant and professional. However, what puzzled us the most was that despite the manager's initial reluctance to seat us, nearly half of the restaurant remained empty throughout the evening. With at least three or four servers working in a relatively small space, it was clear that staffing wasn't the issue--so why the hostility? It was hard not to wonder if other potential diners had been similarly turned off by the manager's deplorable attitude and the underwhelming menu. Overall, the experience left a bad taste in our mouths--both literally and figuratively. Between the lackluster food and drinks, and the uncalled-for attitude from management (she is bald and was wearing a dress on the evening of 2/14/25 at 9:30PM-11PM), I cannot recommend this place to anyone looking for a pleasant dining experience.

The drinks were bomb and ambiance was perfect!!! When: Friday at 5:00pm, party of 2 Overall: 4.8/5 Food: 4.5/5 - we got the bbq chicken flatbread. It was pretty good but not a standout for us. The drinks are what really shine here but it was still very nice to have food to pick from since we were starving! Drinks: 4.8/5 - Same mixologist as the Cellar At Duckworths so i knew these dunes were going to be fire and i was correct. We got the paloma which was yummy with fresh grapefruit juice. I think i got the dirty collins which was a lighter drink but not overly sweet so it was perfecttt!! I was eyeing the pisco sour too but will have to try that next time. Service: 4.8/5 - Since it was their soft opening I either expected mediocre service or top of the line. Thankfully I received the latter! Saturn was a wonderful server who provided great recommendations for drinks and kept checking in on us. She was super sweet and hospitable! Vibes: 4.8/5 - definitely get a seat in the bar area if you can. It feels more intimate and cooler..! we were seated in the dining room which was still nice and more quiet but i think it would have been more fun for us personally to be closer to the bar to watch them make drinks and overlook the road by the windows. The place is just like a modern day cocktail lounge! Other: free parking garage in the same building! It is inside of Duckworth's but up the stairs.

I had bookmarked this spot due to its decent Yelp reviews and since it was within walking distance of our stay, and open, we decided to go here. What a great spot! Our server Angela was nice and attentive. We ate and drank inside, which was great for us because my GF didn't want to deal with bugs and 73° outside was too warm for me... We were seated at high top tables near the bar. Pretty cool interior space, lots of wine on display, and one wall was covered with old wine boxes. It wasn't noisy at all and it was nice not having to shout over a booming music. As for the main event, the food and wine: 1) I'm writing this pretty buzzed so my recollection may be hazy, but I got the "Here Comes the Sun" flight and my GF got the "Bubble Me Up, Scotty!" flight. Not only a good value (3x 2oz tasters for about the same price as a glass [6oz] of wine), but all six of the items in our flights were quite good. We ended up getting two more glasses each of our favorites of the three (Lambrusco for the missus, Grüner Veltliner for me). As for food: I got the shrimp cocktail (4.5/5) and my GF got the lamb sliders (also 4.5/5). And we split a Caesar salad with grilled chicken, which oddly enough to say, was the best Caesar salad we've ever had. Perfect dressing-to-lettuce ratio, the dressing was excellent, and the grilled chicken was perfect. And then we got 4 doughnuts for dessert. We are only here for five nights but I'm sure we will be back. 5/5 would definitely recommend.

We were greeted warmly and escorted to a table right away. I chose the bubbly wine flight and the chicken Milanese. My husband chose the rigatoni and a German pilsner. We shared our meals because they were both so flavorful but at the end were still a little hungry and wished there was bread service available to order along with the meals or sides that we could add to our meals for a little extra $. We did notice that on the menu for the burger, you could add a side of fries for $3. Otherwise the appetizer of fries goes for $13. We ended up ordering a slice of the chocolate cake. It's a slightly dense version with ganache and was very good. Overall we were so happy with our food and drink choices and look forward to coming back. The only little disappointment was when I made the reservation, it asked if there was a celebration and I checked the box that it was a birthday celebration. There was never a "happy birthday " wished to us or any mention at all. In no way, do I want or need somebody coming out and singing happy birthday to me but it's always nice when a restaurant will actually wish a person a happy birthday or maybe give a small dessert after the meal. I specifically look for restaurants that do this when choosing where to eat for a special occasion. So will I come here again? Absolutely, it will go into the regular rotation. Will I choose Foxcroft for our birthdays or anniversary? I would probably choose somewhere else where they acknowledge it.

There's outdoor seating, and initially we wanted to sit outside but we didn't have reservations. Luckily, they seated us at a small corner section near the back of the bar. It's very cozy and intimate inside. Just my type of vibe. The service was top tier. They were unable to validate our parking because of some sort of discrepancy with the signage outside and lack of having the proper equipment for validation. To make up for it, they offered us complimentary champagne to start. We were not expecting that, and pleasantly surprised! Their menu has an eclectic selection of cocktails, both full and mini. We opted to order from the mini cocktail menu, and we each ordered two drinks. I had the Creepy cucumber cocktail and it was refreshingly sweet and probably my favorite drink of the night. I also ordered the Don't Shy Away which was a sour and spicy rum concoction with carrot in it. It was definitely spicy and had a puréed texture. I really enjoyed it. And, then don't get me started on the music!!! The dj was masterful. He played all the types of music I love and he mixed them in such a refreshing way. I ended up asking him for his contact information before leaving, and whether he does weddings because my fiancé and I are currently looking for a DJ. He was just that good. This would definitely be my spot if I lived here in Charlotte. It was the perfect way for us to end the night.
