This USED to be the go to eccentric computer repair place in Waldorf. NOT SO anymore. Took my laptop in for slow response time December 20, 2025 and Robert did the intake. Finally got it back January 28 after repeated visits and excuses. Does not answer phone or respond to voice mail. Told me he couldn't recover my data and to send disk to special data recovery lab which I did. Long story short, I ended up taking laptop to another local shop and in 2 hours they had recovered my and I'm on my way. read more

went here a few years ago and had my computer fixed and everything was great. just recently though I needed another repair and both times I r stopped by no one was there. sign said it was open but the door was locked. Returned a 2nd time during business hours and no one was inside. guess I have to go somewhere else. read more

This is a small business that looks like it just jumped straight out the 90s. The interior doesn't do much for me, however the employees/owners were friendly and helpful. They greeted everyone that came into their store. I personally did not get anything fixed but I saw other customers being treated respectfully and having their needs met. read more

I had a 6 month old computer that had remote software loaded onto it after getting hacked. After waiting a week to take it back to best buy (soonest appointment they had) they had the computer for a week. After getting it back immediately the same problem started again. After 2 days of calls to set up another appointment it was 2 weeks away (we did pay for total protection that gets you nothing). Even though it was not fixed correctly the first try they had no sense of fixing it correct or urgency to make this right with the customer. I opted to bypass the appointment and take it to 301 computers, I was able to take it in the same day I called, was greeted immediately, and told they would be with me in just a few minutes, and about 5 minutes later it was my turn. After only a few minutes of looking at the computer the problem, actually problems were found. It was going to take a few days to repair the computer and I gladly gave it to them as I was fully confident the laptop was going to fixed right this time. After a few days I was called that the laptop was ready. I once again was greeted and only had a few minute wait, got the laptop back, paid a very reasonable price, with the assurance that if I experienced any more problems they would take it back right away, and address any issues with no additional monies paid unless parts were needed. Needless to say there are no problems, I am 100% happy with their repairs and ability to fix it 100% the first time around, and would not hesitate to recommend 301 Computers to anyone in needs of repair services. I popped in today on a whim to see if anything could be done with my Chromebook that had broke six months prior. The gentleman working (John I believe was his name) began to assist me immediately. He suspected the problem right away and was able to confirm in minutes. In less than 15 minutes he had replaced the faulty part and I was out of the door. It was only $20 for the part! We have been a customer of Mr. Maxwell and 301 Computers for many years and always refer friends, clients, and businesses to them. First of all, the owners of the business actually work there, and they know computers....so when there is a problem they will tell you the truth about the problem and options on getting it fixed or sometimes replaced. Also, We trust them with data, and their ability to keep it secure. With regard to cost, they are quite reasonable, and up front about cost. We know that when they build a computer that the total cost is more than the cost of materials and labor used, or what they paid. Perhaps less than 50%, but that is their business. They have not only saved many of my computers but have also built me no less than four new Windows PC systems. I am a subcontractor to a government agency and depend on my PCs. I am a super user - the worst kind of client for the wonderful 301 pros who fix and build our systems :) They have bailed me out of more tough situations than I care to remember. Most significant, and probably overlooked by most, is their keen understanding of building a new PC system. I know, it is sooo easy to grab a decent Toshiba from Amazon, decent price, plenty of good features. What you need to realize is that these systems show up at our door with bloatware that will get in the way of your needs.... 301 computers and john maxwell, charged my wife $84.80, for an adapter for a laptop computer. Mr maxwell mistakenly left his invoice with the adapter when I picked it up, showing that he paid $29.95 for the part, $8.95 shipping and handling, and $1.80 in maryland taxes. When I questioned him about the difference in the $84.80 and the $40.70, I was told that I could just bring back the adapter and he would be glad to lose me and my wife as customers. read more
