One of the mechanics checking the tire with Orlando (owner) said he saw bubbles come from under his hand in Spanish and that the "guy" (me) was watching them. Orlando (owner) then turned around and told me in English that there's no bubbles with a straight face, assuming he didn't realize I understood his mechanic. When I replied to them in Spanish, they were stunned and tripping on their words knowing they just tried to lie to me about the leak in the tire. I understand times are tough, but that's bad business. Be careful going here.

I mentioned that the business was behind schedule, as my appointment was for 8am and my car was still sitting in the parking lot. He was not surprised and replied that he purchased his tires at this location and brings his car in for ongoing tire maintenance. His said that his experience has been that the technicians do not arrive and begin work until (at least) 8:30am. In the end, his car was ready before mine, which took until 9am.

1 STAR -- Extremely Disappointing Experience with Mavis Tires & Brakes in Wimauma…read more I strongly recommend thinking twice before taking your vehicle to Mavis Tires & Brakes in Wimauma, FL, located at 4961 State Road 674, Wimauma, FL 33598. After having service performed on our vehicle, Mavis left the oil cap loose, causing oil to leak throughout the engine compartment. We did not discover the problem until after the warning light came on. Because of Mavis' mistake, we had to hire a professional detailer to clean the engine bay, hood, bumpers, side panels, and other areas affected by the oil. We also had to pay for a tow truck to transport the vehicle to the nearest Mavis location. We did everything we were asked to do. The vehicle was professionally cleaned, the driveway was cleaned, and the car was towed to the nearest Mavis location. Unfortunately, the nightmare didn't end there. It has now been three months of trying to get reimbursed for the expenses caused by this incident. We have spoken with two managers, district management, and the corporate office, and despite everyone being aware of what happened, we continue to receive excuse after excuse with no resolution. What is especially frustrating is that we are not asking Mavis to pay for something unrelated to their service. We are asking to be reimbursed for expenses that resulted from an issue caused by their service. A company should stand behind its work and take responsibility when something goes wrong. Instead, we have spent two months making calls, providing information, following up, and getting passed from one person to another. The actual service issue was bad enough. The lack of accountability and customer service afterward has been even worse. Mavis Tires & Brakes -- this should not take months to resolve. I hope someone at corporate finally takes ownership of this situation and reimburses us for the expenses we incurred as a direct result of this incident. Very disappointed. I would not recommend this location based on our experience.
