I was sold a 6 year old tire for $90 with a leak. I bought the tire after the work day, went home,…read moreand the tire was flat next morning. They performed a "water dunk" test to check for leaks, knowing they're supposed to use soap water to look for air bubbles. To start, they didn't know I spoke Spanish. One of the mechanics checking the tire with Orlando (owner) said he saw bubbles come from under his hand in Spanish and that the "guy" (me) was watching them. Orlando (owner) then turned around and told me in English that there's no bubbles with a straight face, assuming he didn't realize I understood his mechanic. When I replied to them in Spanish, they were stunned and tripping on their words knowing they just tried to lie to me about the leak in the tire. I understand times are tough, but that's bad business. Be careful going here.

As I operate better in discomfort I moved through the anger and into solutions - I needed a resource, we all need resources to properly navigate new lands, even older well trodden lands - we can't do everything perfectly by ourselves. Not to mention any names, but a place I've been een to and lightly posted about - my man inside told me "there's this little place behind the Metro store" and my man's getting a Thank You card with a little bit of cabbage inside for this hook. Tire fixed $15.00 & a five O tip, and I saw a sign for BRAKES, so I got all four done this Saturday. Slammed my rotors deep with bolts so they're torn like an old YANNI LP and I'n my day, they cut them by and were reused. Na-na-na not in today's disposable society of people and products, so I'll hoop unhappily another $300.00 from my wallet - not their fault, not really mine either, stupid car didn't let out that classic metal on metal "sqqqqueeeeak" sound. I'm gonna buy four Michelin tires this coming week from my homey Orlando at A&A because he's always looking to do his best for me and endures my bad attitude and flippant remarks about God and man and the end of the world.

Arrived at the business ahead of my 8am appointment and checked in, leaving my car key and…read moreconfirming the reason for my appointment (nail in tire). There were no cars in the bay and only one technician present. After 20 minutes passed another customer joined me in the waiting room, who had an 8:30am appointment. I mentioned that the business was behind schedule, as my appointment was for 8am and my car was still sitting in the parking lot. He was not surprised and replied that he purchased his tires at this location and brings his car in for ongoing tire maintenance. His said that his experience has been that the technicians do not arrive and begin work until (at least) 8:30am. In the end, his car was ready before mine, which took until 9am.

I had an extremely disappointing experience at the Mavis in Wimauma on July 24, 2026…read more I arrived about 20 minutes before my scheduled 4:00 PM appointment to have all four tires replaced. A heavier-set employee greeted me, and after I explained I had a 4:00 PM appointment, he looked at another employee and said, "Another one. This is ridiculous." He confirmed my appointment, then asked if I was dropping the car off until the next day. I explained I was told it would be completed the same day. He responded that I'd be there "all day." When I asked what that meant, he said they closed at 6:00 PM, then turned to his coworker and loudly complained, "We ain't leaving here at 6. This is ridiculous. There are six other cars before her." He then simply said, "Keys." When I looked at him confused, he repeated, "Keys." His tone was aggressive and dismissive from the moment I arrived, and I seriously considered canceling my appointment. After I walked outside, I watched him get into another customer's vehicle, accelerate aggressively into the service bay, and honk the horn while driving it inside. As a customer, that was concerning to witness. Around 5:30 PM, I returned to pick up my vehicle. The other employee introduced himself as Thomas and was polite and professional. I asked for the manager's name and learned the employee who had treated me so poorly was Ernesto, the store manager. While I was discussing my experience, another female customer also commented that Ernesto had been rude to her. I confronted Ernesto about his behavior, but he responded with sarcasm and showed no concern. I understand businesses get busy, but no customer should be treated like an inconvenience for arriving on time for a scheduled appointment. A store manager should set the example for professionalism. I hope Mavis corporate reviews this incident and addresses the conduct displayed at this location.
