Over Priced. Went to Ybor and got a quote for half the price they wanted to charge for a dimple. Close to 600$

Absolutely the nicest, most accommodating office staff and mechanics I've had the pleasure of doing business with.

A&A Tire Shop - Working on my tire, getting it all ready for the road!

A&A Tire Shop

I was sold a 6 year old tire for $90 with a leak. I bought the tire after the work day, went home,…read moreand the tire was flat next morning. They performed a "water dunk" test to check for leaks, knowing they're supposed to use soap water to look for air bubbles. To start, they didn't know I spoke Spanish. One of the mechanics checking the tire with Orlando (owner) said he saw bubbles come from under his hand in Spanish and that the "guy" (me) was watching them. Orlando (owner) then turned around and told me in English that there's no bubbles with a straight face, assuming he didn't realize I understood his mechanic. When I replied to them in Spanish, they were stunned and tripping on their words knowing they just tried to lie to me about the leak in the tire. I understand times are tough, but that's bad business. Be careful going here.

As I operate better in discomfort I moved through the anger and into solutions - I needed a resource, we all need resources to properly navigate new lands, even older well trodden lands - we can't do everything perfectly by ourselves. Not to mention any names, but a place I've been een to and lightly posted about - my man inside told me "there's this little place behind the Metro store" and my man's getting a Thank You card with a little bit of cabbage inside for this hook. Tire fixed $15.00 & a five O tip, and I saw a sign for BRAKES, so I got all four done this Saturday. Slammed my rotors deep with bolts so they're torn like an old YANNI LP and I'n my day, they cut them by and were reused. Na-na-na not in today's disposable society of people and products, so I'll hoop unhappily another $300.00 from my wallet - not their fault, not really mine either, stupid car didn't let out that classic metal on metal "sqqqqueeeeak" sound. I'm gonna buy four Michelin tires this coming week from my homey Orlando at A&A because he's always looking to do his best for me and endures my bad attitude and flippant remarks about God and man and the end of the world.

Grease Monkey - Oil still leaking

The vehicle was in their possession for over three weeks, and when it was returned, several of the same issues remained unresolved. I even brought it back the following day for an oil leak that was still not corrected. I have since obtained an independent inspection indicating that some of the services I was charged for were not performed or could not be verified, along with additional concerns identified after their repair. At this point, I am no longer comfortable returning the vehicle to the same shop and am pursuing formal complaints and small claims. Update: The business responded publicly asking me to reach out, however I have already contacted them multiple times (including emails sent on April 7 and April 10) and received no response. I am still waiting for a resolution. paid $3,087.65 for repairs that, according to a licensed mechanic's written inspection, were not completed. My vehicle was in the shop for over three weeks, and I was charged for a CV axle replacement, tire replacement, and tire services that were not actually performed. The vehicle is still leaking oil. They also missed repairs like the serpentine belt and wheel bearings. If said work was actually done they wouldn't have missed the wheel bearings, and serpentine belt while they had the engine apart and while apparently replacing the left front CV/axel. Which I would have happily paid for. I have reached out to the business to resolve this and have received no response. This has been an extremely frustrating and costly experience. I would not trust this shop without verifying all work independently.

One a MTA heavy duty mechanic (Money Taking Agency -- oops, sorry it's Metropolitan Transit Authority) and a raging alcoholic muscle car guru - give him a six of Bud talls and a hit of Zambole and he'd rebuild a carburetor, very talented, very troubled - my kinda guy. I learned so much from them - got myself my own tools, wrench by wrench and socket by socket - bought the manuals of Haynes and Chilton and filled in the gaps. Soon would take on bigger and bigger projects and would be tearing apart a motor just to see it I could get it back and working and stranded myself a few times in the process. Today however, I wish I had a setup for mechanic endeavors - but I don't - I'm a traveling and also getting a bit lazy as my work and the nonforprofit is quite demanding, so I'm always looking for a thread, the silk road to the right mechanic. After meeting Chewy at A&A Tires, I stopped in and asked for a referral, he was hesitant but I got a lead outta him and went "behind the Dollar General". Being a city guy, I like the areas most won't go - it's in my blood. I had the part I bought on eBay and met Oscar, told him my situation (broken tail light) and we worked out a price, which I won't write, but it was super fair. He pulled out a car he was underneath and I swung the big black van in. This falls upon the heels of calling the Nissan dealership for fun, acting like I know nothing, playing stupid to get a price which is astronomical and always makes me feel better about myself and my scouting abilities. "Signal left, right, reverse, hazards, headlights" I was good to go.
