Ok I did this twice. I lost 40 pounds in a couple months but my cravings were horrible the entire time. I became severely dehydrated to the point my doctor recommended I stop. I was drinking everything they recommended and more plus added more salt to my diet. Let's be clear you'll have around 1000-1500 calories a day so you pretty much will lose weight. You can't work out during the period and there are strict food restrictions. There is no amount of celery or spinach or lettuce that will make you feel less hungry. Honestly you'll hear people saying it's not working for them. They are unlikely following the very strict rules. It's really easy get have more food that they want you to have. Do it but it's likely all coming back. Instead hit the gym, have a salad instead of the burger with dressing on the side. Save yourself several thousand dollars. read more

It was difficult for me since my cravings took forever to go away. I was never much into my veggies, so when you are told to take I lots of broccoli, onions, spinach (neutral food) I was not quick at that. If you eat meat, you will measure it out on a food scale first! Don't forget your olive oil and add a little salt at night. Their food was fine, if you don't like it you can exchange or replace them. There are new people at the Bellevue location, they all wear black mostly women plus the doctors that you probably won't face. At first they will take you back, give you a water bottle and go over your goals and explain ketosis and visceral fat and body/biological age. Later they will break down the cost which depends on how much weight you need to lose. Its around $240/week and overall i was around $1200. At the end of my time, when we went over my numbers again, the lady said I was real close to my goals and that I should try 4 more weeks, another $800 I could not afford but I said I could come back Monday. Once you weigh in weekly then they give you your foods for the week. Exercise is not a big component but you should try for 30 minutes of walking a day, if it's cold out then find a gym or buy a stationary bike (don't cover it with clothes). The tapes are relaxing, two voices talking through an ipad with big chairs. All of their chairs seem huge, I guess so that big people will fit too. If you work it out it will help, you are not on their food forever. I found eating breakfast was much better and quicker than buying or frying. I went from 135 lbs to 113.8 lbs in 70 days. I'm writing my review for a very specific audience. I know that their program will work wonders for all types, but this is a review from the perspective of a mom who was struggling to lose 20lbs of post baby weight. I do not think I was overweight by any means, but I just really wanted to get back into my pre-baby jeans. Anywho, after trying every fad diet out there (Dukan, 17day, paleo, vegan, Atkins, etc.) I realized that it's not necessarily the program that I struggle with, but the follow through and accountability part. So here are my thoughts on the program: 1) It's expensive AF 2) It works 3) It's not that hard if you have some willpower 4) The first two weeks are the hardest, but you can lock into autopilot mode week 3-10 5) It's super motivating when you see the weight melt off week after week. I lost 1-3 lbs a week. 6) They measure your body fat weekly, which is great because you have a breakdown of what you are losing every week. 7) Staff is very friendly and motivational (At the Bellevue clinic) 8) It's easier for people who do not drink alcohol. (Because it's not allowed!) 9) Some of the provided food sucks, some of it is ok, some of it is pretty good! You have to figure out what you like and also find creative ideas not to get bored. 10) The cost and weekly accountability was the main factor keeping me on board. So, again, I didn't have that much weight to lose, so read my review with that in mind. I'm glad that I'm finally able to fit into my old jeans again. I just started this god awful program and in less than half of a day I am already cancelling. The goofy hypnosis "tapes" should have been a big clue to me but I figured I will only do this for a short period so I will be able to deal with it-ha, not likely. Another HUGE red light was that it wasn't until I arrived to actually start the program that I was told that I had to pre-pay the entire amount-not gonna happen. The straw that broke the camels back was the stuff they call "food product". First of all I am not in any way all hyped up on buying organic, I buy on occasion but it is not the end all or be all of my being HOWEVER the sheer amount of chemicals in this "product" is disgusting not to mention the ingredients on the list they give out is not in anyway listed in order. The very first thing I tried was their honey nut cereal(dry because dairy is not allowed) the chemical taste and the ridiculous amount of sucrolose was abhorrent and caused a late day migraine. Trying to be a trooper I tried the dehydrated (everything except the protein bars is dehydrated) tomato soup. I used hot, I mean HOT, water and still it did not completely dissolve and once again the chemical taste was disgusting. Please also note that NO fruit, save a random lemon squeeze, is allowed on this plan, of course you don't find that out until AFTER you pay at least the start up charges of $650. I was told the goal is to get your body into ketosis but you should know that without proper control you can cause more harm than good and it seems to me that these employees are truly ignorant as to what they are selling. As an example, no bacon or dairy is allowed however they have bacon and cheese omelets...I asked how can this be and after a dear in the headlights look and some extended stammering the woman I was talking to finally got out that it is imitation bacon(read:chemical/fake). This program uses SUCROLOSE also known as Splenda that has received very bad and negative press as of late. The amount of chemicals in these dehaydrated "food products" is disgusting and I strongly advise that you stay away. read more

It works! I lost 19 lbs in 2 months and look and feel great. The positive: the shakes and bars taste good and are filling. Most of the staff have been through the program, so they are speaking from 1st hand knowledge. Tammy and Megan in Bellevue are particularly positive and helpful. The tapes and sauna are relaxing and helpful to keep you in the right mindset. The Drs are really the sales people. The only time they even acknowledged my presence was during my initial visit. Once I signed up and paid, it was like I was a ghost. Upon achieving my goal, there was very little fanfare and excitement. I recommend this program, as it worked to lose my "baby" weight that I battled for 2 1/2 years. Worth every penny. read more

This program is expensive if you aren't 110% in and on your A game. After your accessment and pictures taken, you will of course get a water bottle-only water related fluids from now on basically, you can have your morning coffee but cream and stevia only. If you were in love with carbs before you might feel hungry. You also can't buy their products and do the rest yourself, if you get tired of ready to eat type of food, then you are also out of luck. They do ask about any allergens such as dairy,gluten and such. I noticed it says if you have bipolar you can't do this problem. I guess they figure you will go off the band wagon right away. They will go over all of your medications so if there are things they have never heard of-be aware, you might need an ok from your friend the doctor. It can cost up to 12k so if it's not for you, maybe buy a used car and just push it for weight training!! read more

One of the best things I have ever done. I see some pretty poor reviews here and feel compelled to add some context. Yes it is expensive, yes they require a portion of the money up front. It's called "Having some skin in the game". Once I wrote the check there was no way I was gonna let myself fail. I lost 60 pounds in 16 weeks and have kept it off for nearly 2 years. Yes the plan is restrictive, that's how you lose weight. The thing that sold me is that they want you to lose those pounds in fat not muscle. I truly don't know how you could possibly become dehydrated with all of the fluid they push and you are basically supposed to be off all salts and preservatives as well. I'm not gonna lie and say I liked everything but there are a lot of options and, if you think outside the box, you can really doctor up some of their food and stay in plan. I was rarely hungry, liked the food and they showed me how to eat healthy once I was off the diet phase. I have had my blood pressure meds cut significantly, no longer have heartburn and now rarely have migraines. read more

Like so many who have already reviewed, I, too, have tried many different diets -- with no success. Last year it was Jenny Craig. I just did NOT lose weight. When you're in your 60s, it's much harder to lose weight. When I was a younger woman in my 30s, et cetera, if I was committed to losing weight, I lost weight fairly easily. Metabolism bites one in the butt when you're older. Having said this, it took me over a year of thinking about 30/10 because, as many have stated, it's very expensive. This year came my normal February blues, thinking yet another summer was coming up and here I was the heaviest I've ever been. I felt lousy; I looked not so good. One of the most commanding reasons, though, for me to lose weight is the fact that I have two beautiful grandchildren whom I love dearly. In order for me to see my babies grow into adults, I needed to face the reality of getting healthier. When my grandchildren are in their 20s, I'll be closing in on 80 years of age. That's a sobering moment for me. So with many reasons to lose and no reason (other than the expense!) not to, I finally joined 30/10 back on March 12th. And, yes, it's always a little difficult starting any dietary change. No cheese, no wine, no processed foods, no boxed food (crackers, et cetera), so that first week was challenging. But when I stepped on the scale after that first week I had lost 6 "real" pounds. And from that point forward I continue to lose weight. I just woke up from having nightmares about this place. First, I told the owner/manager about personal problems I thought he could help with through his meditation practice, he promised he could help, he told me I needed to lose x pounds and I could do it in x months, I paid thousands in advance. Then he scheduled a time to meet with me regarding the issues I told him about when I signed up. He actually called me a name, it was one of the cruelest, most misogynistic encounters of my life, he frightened me enough that I said nothing and continued the program, carefully avoiding any contact with him. I exceeded my weight loss goal before I had finished the program, but when the time I had purchased expired, he grabbed my much flatter stomach and pulled on it up and down, telling me I was flabby and overweight. I was stunned, I exercised more than they suggested and starved myself, never cheating, I was below my recommended weight for my height and my bmi was far below obese. Still, holding onto my stomach, he told me I had to pay thousands for more months of starvation even though I was satisfied. He refused to graduate me or give me the weight loss for life program I had earned. In retrospect, I believe he's an abuser and I let him get away with it because he's intimidating and he had so much of my money. Run, don't walk away from this terrible place. You don't need to starve, there is no fat burning metabolism that you train your body for, there are just good habits and bad habits. So far I have lost 63 pounds in 17 weeks. I am about halfway to my goal. My waist has gone from size 48 to 44. I have needed new pants and shirts. My watch is on smaller holes. In contrast to other things I have tried, I am rarely hungry on this diet. I am a 6'4" male who has been overweight/obese my entire life. I recently visited a childhood friend and his parent's said, "oh, we remember you. You were that little fat kid always running around here". Weight management has never come easily for me. I had a few smaller successes for a year or two when I was younger, but it has been more and more difficult through my 30s and into my 40s. I had been in the 340 pounds range for the last 3-4 years, slowly inching upward. I didn't want to get to age 50 and realize that it was too late for meaningful changes. The difference in this program compared to what I had been doing is that it is retraining me. As Yoda would say, I am 'unlearning all that I have learned'. I know that sounds hokey, but here is why it is true for me. The first day I went grocery shopping with their shopping list, it took me 90 minutes to find everything (grocery shopping usually took me 20 minutes). My grocery cart looked completely different than it normally did, with SO MANY VEGETABLES. No CARBS! I knew what most of these foods were. I had purchased them in the past. But never in such a combination as this. That is when I knew that I was beginning a lifestyle transition. The food packets they were providing me was an important part of the diet, but the food that I purchase myself was even more important. From the beginning I have been planning on how I would integrate this into my life in the future. It is doable. My goal is not to eat how I used to eat once I finish the weight loss portion of the program, because that would lead me back to the same results I had always achieved. I can maintain this. I enjoy it. The people that worked at the Tacoma location could not have been friendlier and more encouraging. It is expensive. And shopping for healthy groceries is expensive, too. But since it has worked, I find it worth it. For those wondering, it is a moderate keto, moderate calorie restricted diet. I eat around 2000 Calories a day on this program, which is about 800 less than a male of my size requires. I also get on my elliptical for an hour, which for my size, is an extra 1000 Calories a day. (They do not want you exercising more than 30 minutes a day so that you do not start metabolizing your lean body tissue, but I do not go intense enough for that to occur, I include some minor weight training for muscle building, and I do not tell them...Shhh). That is around 1800 Calories a day, or 0.5 pounds per day. At first you will lose more weight, but some of that is water weight associated with the glycogen in your liver and muscles. My current goal is around 10 pounds a month. The math generally works, even if I plateau for a few days or a week, I will have a sudden diuresis and weight loss afterward, which is how my body seems to function. I just keep at it and it works. read more

I have done Ideal Protein diet - which is THE SAME exact thing/process as the 30/10 --EXCEPT--It ONLY involves a $250 initiation fee and then you go in for all your weekly check- ins and coaching for free for life! I went to Karen (RN) in Bellevue (Your IdealSelf on 116-th) and had a great result. The only thing with the Ketosis is that it is hard on your body and it's best to do it for a very short time 3-6 mo at the most and then, you need to take a break and try to learn to eat balanced food and exercise. Neither of these programs actually teach you how to eat right for life. You get spoiled by the packets and when they go away, you will feel lost and inconvenienced and will go off the rails again into your yo-yo mode. Like some of the reviews mentioned, the ingredients are AWFUL! They actually list GMO ingredients and a load of preservatives with no shame (like many other weigh loss programs such as Jenny Craig, 30/10, etc). I just closed my eyes on it because I was desperate to loose weight at any cost. However, this is another reason you want to do any program like this for a short time and make sure you do a DEEP cleanse/Detox after you are done to try and rid of all the chemicals you consumed. Hope this is helpful. An update since the comment from 30/10 appeared below: My friend did 30/10 and it is practically the same thing as IP, except for the astronomical price difference. IP is one time charge of $250 for life, 30/10 is thousands of dollars on weekly basis ( they advertise heavily, so they need to charge this much). This same friend had so many skin issues and stomach problems from eating the fake food packets following 30/10 and later got a corn growing on the bottom of her hill, which prohibited her from being able to walk. She was in a lot of pain. Once she stopped this program, she did an aggressive detox program and all the issues went away, thankfully. She gained all the weight back becuase this program (just as the Ideal Protein) does not teach you how to actually follow the low carb lifestyle on your own due to the easily packaged food. read more

The nutritional approach is good. The food, in general, is good. I had a hard time with the approach they took to 'accountability'. I lost at a lower rate (pounds per week) than their average.. It was steady however. BUT I felt chastised and I was thinking.. "I'm still going down...yes!!!" but they were not happy it wasn't fast enough. The 'young, thin girls would say..."Oh, my, what went wrong this week...and look very worried. VERY demeaning. I commented about it a couple of times and they handed me off to the doctor.... First of all, I cannot comment on whether this program works. I am commenting on my experience with them when I visited them to check out the program. I was so disgusted with that experience that I am sure the program would not have worked for me either. I had to pay a non-refundable $25 for THEM to (supposedly) sell ME on their program. That should have been my first clue - but I guess I was desperate. I went to the Bellevue location which is very nice but is essentially one large room divided into smaller areas by large plants and book shelves. However, there is virtually no privacy. Bottom line is that they wanted to charge me more than $4000 for a 4-month program to lose appx 50 pounds. It was never made clear to me exactly what that $4K was for because no one ever really explained the program to me! Instead the focus was on how much I needed to lose weight. I was told there were "self mastery" recordings I would listen to (that I had to listen to in a corner of their loud busy office -- I wonder how much noise/activity the headphones really block out) and that I would come in each week and meet with "someone" - it was all very vague. Two "meals" each day would be provided to me but from what I could gather, those "meals" actually consisted of shakes and protein bars. I have a hard time seeing what exactly my $4K would have been paying for. All in all, I was left with the feeling that, best case, they are bad at selling their program and, worst case, they are sneaky - i.e., that they intend their sales technique to be vague and, rather, to focus on scaring us "fatties" into panicking as a way to get us to sign up for their over priced program. And, when they said I could make payments on the $4K in response to my comment that that was more than I expected to pay is ridiculous -- it isn't a matter of WHEN I make the payments; it is the fact that I would have had to shell out FOUR THOUSAND DOLLARS for seemingly nothing worth that much money! read more

I'm thrilled with the results! After 4 years and thousands spent on every fad diet I could find, I finally got to my goal weight! I lost 23 lbs in less than 8 weeks (which is exactly what I was shooting for). Is it expensive? yes and no....I added up what I normally spent on eating out (which I used to do every day!) and drinks out, and the other diet foods I have bought in the past, and for me, it was worth it! I was literally spending hundreds a month on eating out/drinks/food/etc, so it wasn't more expensive to me. Actually, having to spend $1800 gave me major incentive to stick this! Seriously! Not sure about all the negative reviews or some of the comments (8 week minimum? Hardly, my wife did 4 weeks and I did 6.) Basically the diet is a very structured restricted carb diet. Atkins with further restrictions. I've lost over 20 lbs which is exactly what I wanted. The provided food is okay to good but I wouldn't want to eat it for the rest of my life. My wife had less success than I did, she had less to loose but didn't loose it all. That being said, she's never really been a successful dieter. I have to admit that a big part of my motivation to be successful was so the $1500 I paid would not have been wasted. It worked great for me! My only regret is that I didn't come in sooner. Frankly I hesitated because of other reviews talking about the price. I my opinion it was well worth the money-I wish I had come in before my son's wedding. I have tried many other programs without this kind of success, not even close! The program was so easy, I started before the holidays-yes I went through Thanksgiving, many Holiday Parties, Christmas and New Years I made it through and still stayed on the diet, I lost over 35 pounds! I went to 30/10 in 2015 and lost 60lbs. I gained 30 back and went back in 2018. I just finished my 10 weeks and lost 18 lbs. I was sick 2 weeks out of the 10 and had to take cough syrup not on the program. I found out that my thyriod meds were off the very last week and all of that caused the lack of weight loss. I wanted to go on maintenance and was told I cannot because of not losing 30lbs in 10 weeks. The cost of 10 weeks was over $2,000, I wanted to have the accountability weigh ins once a week. I did get that option in 2015 when I lost 31 lbs in 10 weeks. As anyone knows losing weight is not the easy, but keeping it off is the hard part. I would not recommend them they are not worth the money. read more

I can understand most of these reviews but the bad ones certainly don't apply to me. I agree not everyone needs this program. Eat less and exercise more - it's free and you will lose weight. Let's be honest, there are lots of ways to lose weight and different programs ranging from free and far from free. Chose the one you want. This program won't work for everyone - but it worked for me. I was ready for it and it was easy. I'm a 54 male, never dieted before, travel quite a bit for work and have been gaining a few pounds for a number of years. I decided I wanted to lose weight and eat healthier. Starting the program I thought I would get headaches the first week from being hungry or lack energy. Wrong, I never felt hungry or lacking for food or energy at any time. The food they provided for breakfast and lunch supplements I quite enjoyed. Not every product but enough for me to have a decent variety. They were easy to take on the road and lunch/dinner meals were easy to order at restaurants or prepare at home. The motivational tapes were fine, I'm sure some folks get benefit from them but they were kind of a non event for me. I lost 30 pounds in 8 weeks with 30/10. I'm pretty sure that I will keep it off but only time will tell. I definitely feel more confident in my eating habits and am really happy with my current weight. I'm comfortable with what I paid. The ladies in the office Bellevue office were great. Just the right amount of support and professionalism - and no they aren't Doctors - I went to see my own prior to signing up. read more

I recently graduated after 2 months on this program. I wanted to lose 25-30 lbs and I have lost 32 lbs over the last 10 weeks. The food is bearable and cutting out sugar takes time getting used to All of the staff at the Everett location are helpful and encouraging and I recommend the program to everyone. read more

This program really works if you are disciplined and follow the plan. I lost 85 lbs and obviously a life changing experience. Some of the posted reviews state "they don't teach you how to eat after you achieve your goal". This is not true, I am assuming that the posters were unsuccessful in losing weight. To show this, unlike Ideal Protein (which also works), you cannot buy 3010 food upon completion. Another key difference is how they determine your "ideal" weight. They utilize the % of body fat, measured by their equipment. Getting within the range for sex and age sets your metabolism for lifetime maintenance, I have maintained for only 4 months but find it remarkably easy. It is a pricey program but for me money very well spent. I needed the discipline. For me the no alcohol was the toughest part but after a couple weeks, no problem. I believe every person has to be ready to lose weight and commit for discipline to follow through. I feel bad for the posters that state this didn't work for them, in my mind, they weren't ready. A great book for those interested is "Why we get fat" by Gary Taubes. Anyway, 3010 is great and the staff at Bellevue is awesome. read more

After 5 weeks on the program, I have lost 12 lbs. I'm pleased! Really, except for the (ouch) cost, the plan is very easy. I rarely ever feel that "hollow" hungry feeling, and I've lost the desire for candy. I wanted to do the program to shrink my belly fat and curb my sugar cravings, which I've done. The food is just fine....never mind the bad reviews on the food. While I wouldn't call it delicious, it's best to view it as "fuel." read more

I have had a phenomenal experience with 30/10. In the last 14 weeks I have lost approximately 25 lbs and for the first time in my life believe that this is something I can keep off. Before starting the program I had reached a point in my weight gain where it was noticeably affecting health and I knew I had to do something about it. Program is easy. Commit to 10 weeks of eating healthy AND NO ALCOHOL!!!! THIS IS ABSOLUTELY ESSENTIAL. NO ALCOHOL. 10 weeks later I had lost 47 pounds. No cravings. No desire for red Robin burgers with extra fries. It teaches you how to eat for life. I gained 10 pounds over Christmas. Took me 3 weeks and I lost all 10 pounds and 5 more pounds to boot It will be one year in April. 5 more pounds and I will be at my high school graduation weight. And I am 55 years old. read more
