As before, she provided options and did a fabulous job assessing my teeth. I listened to her suggestion and was good to go with it..I wanted to get things done before I changed my mind again. Unfortunately it currently is scheduled a few weeks out, which is great, but it also conflicts with my work meetings and travel, so I hope I don't change my mind again and go a different direction. The dentist gave me two referrals to go to and I did go to both. I was so impressed by Dr. Huber's professionalism and caring of what is going on in my mouth. He answered all my questions. The best thing he did was give me an antibiotic prescription for the infection where my dentist nor the other Periodontist didn't even do!! So I had my surgery on Thursday and he was quite painless. Plus he gave me his cell phone number if I needed him over the weekend. He reached out to me twice to check on me and the first time he did he was going to California due to his son having an emergency!!! Who does that??!!! One area of concern was the confusion on scheduling my appointment. They initially told me the wrong time, told me to call the office cause they had earlier openings (which they didn't) and then when I called to confirm my appointment I wasn't even on the schedule. I went to see Dr Heller and he made me feel bad for not having amazing oral hygiene habits. Even after explaining my inability to access dental care for a long time. He made sure that i knew that having a goal of healthy functioning teeth wasn't good enough. i should shoot for whiter straighter teeth. he said deemed a bunch of work as essential that other dentists had told me weren't necessary, in addition to 2 more deep cleanings (i just got one) and a waterpick. multiple other dentists the cleanings would not covered by insurance were "not necessary" before we can talk about the "expensive stuff" (the gum graft) truly felt like he was trying to squeeze any and every penny out of me with no bedside manner whatsoever.

When we arrived the atmosphere was relaxing and comfortabe and we were greeted very nicely and with a smile. Dr. Hunter is wonderfully relaxing and has a wry sense of humor. He listens and does not make you feel rushed. It was obvious he cares about his patients as he spend quite a bit of time questioning my sister on her medical background. Dr. Hunter was very attentive to both of us and his eye contact was wonderful. We were able to schedule the actual procedure for the next day. Again the warm welcome up arrival and no waiting. When the procedure was finished, Dr. Hunter himself (not an assistant) came to get me and we went to recovery to discuss post operative care. My sister was relaxed in a recliner with a warm blanket; the only thing missing was a glass of wine! We were overly pleased and both of us agreed that a review was certainly in order as so many people are dentiphobes so it is important to know there are wonderful doctors out there who care and do an amazing job.

As a parent, I know that she was in reliable hands and I felt that all of her needs were met as well as those of myself asking about her aftercare and follow up appointments.
