got referred by my amazing dentist to this place for a gum graft. the office is very nice, clean, modern and the staff were great. Dr. Heller, himself, is not it. I went to see Dr Heller and he made me feel bad for not having amazing oral hygiene habits. Even after explaining my inability to access dental care for a long time. He made sure that i knew that having a goal of healthy functioning teeth wasn't good enough. i should shoot for whiter straighter teeth. he said deemed a bunch of work as essential that other dentists had told me weren't necessary, in addition to 2 more deep cleanings (i just got one) and a waterpick. multiple other dentists the cleanings would not covered by insurance were "not necessary" before we can talk about the "expensive stuff" (the gum graft) truly felt like he was trying to squeeze any and every penny out of me with no bedside manner whatsoever. read more

I've been a patient for several years. I had severe recession issues and Dr Beckman literally saved my teeth. I was young for having the degree of recession I had. I've had two procedures with Dr Beckman; it's been a few years and my gum health checks out in perfect condition everytime. Let me just say if Dr Beckman or Michelle could also be my primary care dr, wouldn't that be a dream! Michelle my hygienist takes time to get to know you, always checks in and asks about me, my family etc before starting treatment. I had previously undergone a surgery at Altura Periodontics in Denver, but had a horrible experience and was unhappy with the results. I had to have a gum graft and another procedure done resulting in around a dozen stitches in each side of my mouth. Surprisingly, two days later, I am in absolutely no pain. I am a little swollen and still only eating soft foods, but Dr. Heller did an awesome job, as always. Also, a special shout-out to Erin who assisted in the procedures. I finally went to a real doctor who immediately knew I had an infection. This man (won't can't heller a doctor as his license should be revoked) refused to look at my photos sent over, was rude and biased about my name, said he could not help with two small tissue triangles, lectured me, and failed to advise me of even the possibility of infection. Please note their response does not even acknowledge this. He failed to properly diagnose me and is a rude and biased hack. Filed a report to the board of dentistry. Go elsewhere read more

Let's be honest here - there is nothing fun about having gum surgery. However, the staff and Dr. Heller were as good as it gets with regard to my treatment. I needed to have a gingival graft and everything from the consultations to the follow ups were professional, timely and caring. Dr Heller is definitely a perfectionist - a quality that you should look for when someone is nearing your mouth with a scalpel. My partner (78 years old, dementia) had implants by Eric Beckman from Periodontal Associates. After many months of waiting for the surgery to heal, he returned for a check on the stability of the implants, push back the gums if necessary, and then ok for his 'regular dentist' to get the permanent denture. While my partner was in the chair, Beckman decided to do additional surgery. Took tissue from the palate and sewed onto his upper gums. This was done with NO EXPLANATION TO ME OR JUSTIFICATION, before the fact. My partner could not have understood what he was being told EVEN IF it had been explained, which it was not. I was in the waiting room expecting Beckman was doing what was 'planned'. Nope, additional surgery was done...no explanation nor authorization. Who the hell does this guy think he is? That is like having a child in the chair, deciding to take palate tissue and sew it onto his gum without discussing with his parents. I am beyond livid. My partner didn't have a clue what he was doing (neither did I) as he "trusted" this idiot. DO NOT TAKE YOUR LOVED ONES TO THIS ORGANIZATION! If his partner (Heller) would be checking on what is happening in his office and stay off the TV touting how great they all are...this guy just might be out of a job. DO NOT GO HERE! I am continuing my efforts to let people know just how incompetent and arrogant this guy thinks he is. read more

I put off seeing the periodontist because seriously, who puts this at the top of their to-do list? I finally decided it was now or never and went in to have a gingival graft.
