I would think that unless there was some kind of emergency that the owner would be there on a very popular evening. The 2 employees were doing their best but I'm assuming you have lost at least a couple customers because of this issue.

There is an ATM next door, but I had issues with it not accepting my card, and my friends had the same problem, so I ended up paying in quarters. They were very kind and patient about it though. The line can get pretty long, but it moves quickly, so it is not a bad wait at all. It would be nice if there was more seating, especially since so many people come here, but overall it is still a really great stop for ice cream.

The Dairy Bar is a small cafe housed in Stocking Hall, home to Cornell's dairy program. The cafe has mostly to-go items like wrapped sandwiches and pre made bowls and snacks. They also have a grill with a small selection of fresh menu items. And they have an ice cream bar of course with the same flavors as their refrigerated pints. The staff here was friendly. It gets a little crowded around lunch time so plan ahead.

I love that it is right along the main highway so you can pull off, get some ice cream and hop back on your way. They have tons of choices! Hard ice cream, soft serve, sundaes, the works! I really like how many options you have to choose from because it makes choosing that much harder, which could be bad, but it is good for someone who likes to have something new each time. Picnic tables outside and a decent amount of parking, I'm sure it gets busy when the weather warms up! Definitely a place to visit if you're passing by and want a sweet treat :)
