We were there on a Thursday at exactly Noon for lunch. We got seated quickly. The ambiance is well thought out with seating like a dhaba with cots if you prefer to sit like in a dhaba in a roadside truck stop in India! The truck grille, the walls and punjabi songs on tv completed the picture. The menu is large and had a lot of choices. We ordered the appetizer platter. Was good enough for three adults. Ordered Shahi Paneer no spice, but Sarason ka saag medium spice. Ordered chole bhature. Everything was heavenly. The bhature had no oil, very soft and tasty!! The spicier stuff also has subtle tastes to them. Not to be missed if you are passing on 81 or live nearby. We drove an hour to get there. Worth making the trip. Great food and awesome service. Will definitely be back. Best of all it is in a truck stop!!

It took me awhile to find my way here, since I couldn't remember which exit off 81 (exit 323 in Va) it was, or the name of the place. But today, after a lovely walk in Winchester I made it my business to find 323 Dhaba. What a delightful surprise! The interior was pleasant, with plenty of seating unless it gets packed. I'm not super familiar with Indian food, but since it's all vegetarian I can just try everything on the menu! The food was amazing, and the girl who waited on me was delightful, too. If you like Indian food or you are vegetarian, I'd suggest you run on over here to give it a try. I know I'll be back.

Some super cool truck decor is oh so fitting for the location. I really like it!

What a fresh find and totally unexpected for Bunker Hill! The food was so good! So fresh! Cooked with love and you can tell with every bite. It was vegetarian, and so filling and flavorful. I honestly have never had Punjabi food. I did not know there were so many different types of Naan. And the deserts were homemade. I think it doesn't matter if you never had this type of food, the home cooking is so comforting. I felt like family!

Hands down the best Punjabi vegetarian food in the most authentic dhaba atmosphere. Fantastic service! Feels like home. We'll definitely be back. Don't change a thing 323 Dhaba

This restaurant is a truly hidden gem, offering authentic flavors, generous portions, and a welcoming atmosphere. They specialize in Punjabi vegetarian food, and I tried their vegetarian thali which included paneer curry, dal, raita, rice, roti, and a kheer dessert. It was a complete meal that satisfied both my taste buds and my stomach. I also ordered an aloo paratha and a paneer paratha. Both were delicious even when reheated, with the aloo paratha being my favorite. The place was clean, service quick, friendly and the prices were very affordable. A must-visit place when in the area to get the Indian dhaba food experience.

We would have driven by and never stopped in if we had not read some great reviews. 323 Dhaba is a gem! We were greeted and made to feel as soon as we walked in. The interior is bright and clean. Service was great, our food was prepared to our desired spice level. Everything was very fresh and flavorful! We will definately be back! Other notes: Regional vegaratian food from the Punjabi area (Pakistan/India border) Small paved lot, next to gravel truck parking, gender neutral bathroom, additional sink outside of bathroom to wash your hands. Online ordering, takeout. Right on the VA/WV border What we ate Doodh Pati- milk leaf tea Mix vegatable Korma: Carrots, green check peas potatoes, broccoli, cauliflower, cooked in onion, garlic, & ginger Special Appetizer: (2)veg pakora (2) paneer pakora (2) aloo tikki (1) samosa Naan Garlic Naan My rating rationale  +1 Service +1 Food~Taste/flavor/quality +1 Presentation +1 Atmosphere/vibe +1 Value

I am perhaps the opposite of a vegetarian but it is Friday in lent so why not go to the vegetarian Indian place so my penance can at least have some flavor. The food was outstanding. Unlike last time, I was asked my spice level preference and I asked for the spiciest. They warned me this was "Indian level spicy." I assured them I wanted them to try to hurt me. It was perfect as opposed to last time which was a bit bland. I like to have some tears forming by the end of the meal. I had the appetizer sampler and everything was very good. I then had the Saron Da Saag and a Mango Lassi. The Lassi was maybe the best drink I ever had. The Saag dish was very, very good. I also can't say enough nice things about the rice, which was perfect. The interior was very minimal but I appreciate that as a place just starting out with not a lot of investment available. My only major critique is the process is confusing. When you come in you don't know whether to order at the counter or be seated? Once seated do you order at the counter? Once finished do you pay at the table or counter? A more proactive approach to host/hostessing would make this a 5 star review.

Excellent punjabi dhaba style vegetarian food. The quality is top notch. Especially the paratha's are huge and served with home made white butter and raita a must visit!

My Korean parents LOVED all the dishes! I thought everything was really yummy too, but personally, I wish it was spicier!! Mushroom Biryani (4.5/5) Solid biryani with a nice umami flavor from the mushrooms. I really like the bread top - you can dip it into any of the sauces you get. The fig raita is delicious too. Branzino (6/5) SO good. Beautiful, meaty fish. They didn't have the typical side that comes with it, so they replaced it with the cabbage, and it was honestly so good. I also really liked the sauce that came with it. Daal Burrata (2.5/5) Bland. It didn't really taste like much to me, and I don't think the creamy burrata added much to the dish. Chicken Tikka Masala (5/5) Yummy, tender chicken pieces. Probably the dish most similar to classic Indian food/takeout. Paneer Lasagna (3.5/5) Very unique dish! I liked the creamy sauce, but I wasn't a huge fan of the crunchy paneer bits. The saag flavor was also pretty light - I wanted MORE saag :) Very nice workers and a semi-casual interior. Service was good. Waiter helped us think through which dishes to order and how or why. Would recommend!! But don't expect your typical Indian takeout ;)

We were a large group and ordered a wide variety of dishes including the lamb roll, lamb chops, palak chaat, paneer tikka, crab, shrimp curry, and the Everything Mango dessert. The food was delicious across the board, with plenty of bold flavors and beautifully prepared dishes. The downside is that it comes at a fairly high price, so I expected the overall experience to match the quality of the food. Unfortunately, the service was the biggest disappointment. We had made our reservation several days in advance for a large group, yet our server seemed to be rushing us from the moment we sat down. Even while choosing our wine, we were repeatedly pushed to make a decision rather than being given time to look through the options. It felt unnecessarily rushed and pushy, which really put a damper on what should have been a special group dinner. The atmosphere is lovely, with a sophisticated and ambient setting that works well for special occasions. Given the prices, though, I expected much more polished service. Great food, but the rushed service left a bad taste and unfortunately overshadowed an otherwise delicious meal.

When we were seated, the host lit a table candle. We immediately received water and a plate for sharing of crisp papadums with what I think was a mango chutney. The crackers were crisp and flavorful and the chutney was delicious. A great start. We ordered two appetizers to try them: Mulligatawny soup ($8.99) - a very nice portion came in a bowl accompanied with two cups/spoons. We each had at least two small cups of soup from the one portion. Excellent soup. Samosa Chaat - ($10.99) - another very nice sized portion for sharing. And also excellent. A bit spicy and very flavorful. Entrees: Lamb Shank - beautifully prepared. Accompanied by rice. We both were surprised it didn't come with some vegetables on the sauce (like a few carrots), but the lamb itself is very flavorful. Yellow Daal - it's good. I likely wouldn't get it again as it was fine, but not great. Nothing wrong with it, but everything else was so flavorful and distinctive that this just seemed "fine". Chilly Garlic Naan - should have gotten an order of regular naan or garlic naan. This was so spicy that it was unpleasant to eat. My partner and I both like spicy food, but the spiciness interfered with our enjoyment of our entrees. Again, it's not the fault of the item - it's more of a warning that the spiciness is overpowering. I assume other people like this, but I prefer something that complements as opposed to overpowers (to me). Service was excellent throughout the meal. Full from the appetizers, we took most of the entrees home. Probably will discard the naan, unfortunately. Again, maybe you'll like it. I'm really glad we came here and will be back again.
