My nail looks horrible! They are uneven and lumpy. They did not file down my nails, so they look bulky. The nails were cut lean and not filed down. They try to butter you up so you add on styles so they can add more money, and when you don't, they just rush you through the door. My nails never looked like this when I went to a salon, even when I walked in without an appointment. I was at the mall and just thought I'd try them because I had an event coming up soon. If I can give 0 stars I would I went to 327 sand lane nail salon yesterday to get my nails done. I called Saturday and asked how much for SNS DIP POWDER WITH TIPS they told me 45$. I got in Sunday 11/24 and I said hello do you have time for SNS dip powder with tips they said yes wait 10 minutes.. waited about 25 minutes which was fine I was a walk in no appt was made. When I asked to pick out a color they gave me the gel colors and I had said this is gel and they said oh hunny acrylic with tip and gel is better. I said nicely oh no it's ok I like SNS I've been getting it for 7 years can I see the dip powder colors she gives me them I pick one out so fast bc now she's starting my nails I picked a nice burgundy. She starts my nails and is still going on about how acrylic tips with gel is better and I said again nicely it's ok I just want the SNS with tips and she's like mad about it or whatever. Then I asked it's 45$ right and she goes oh no it's 60$... I said I called yesterday and was told 45$ and she said oh no that's just regular dip powder no tips I said oh ok so it's 50$ ( looking up at the price list) where it says DIP POWDER TIP SET $50, she goes on to say that's not what I'm getting it's 60$ and I was like well there's not other spot that says SNS/ Dip powder on your price list so you can't just say a price and I go with it it's false advertising. She goes ok ok 50$ just this one time. I said ok thank you. we are talking a little bit and now she's dipping my nails in the color and I can see the color is staining my hand so I said Can you wipe off and she said later later. Now I'm done with my nails and there is stains all over my hands my cuticles fingers everywhere I said can I wash before the top coat she said no no after. So I wash after and it don't come off I said can you take off and she was like ok shes not soaking my hands and fingers in cuticle oil and acetone and goes OK. Go wash with soap and water so I did and it still was not coming off. She told me to go home and wash my hands and I'll be off by tonight so I did that I paid her. I tipped her and I went home and for 2 to 3 hours I scrubbed my hands with hand soap and hot, hot water it did not come off. So my sister brought me there and told them they need to fix it or we want a refund and she kept saying no no . (Mind you I did not get a hot hand towel or lotion or my cuticles cut while I sat there for two hours getting my nails done) so she starts taking off the red on my fingers but it's stuck all in my cuticles because they were cut before putting the color dip on. There's glue and powder stuck under my nails and she has a tool and she's pulling off the glue and she cuts me now I'm bleeding and she did it 4 other times. So I said ok that's it you are just cutting me at this point, shes like I can't do nothing else because you are hurt, I said that's not my problem your worker did this and now it won't come off and you made me bleed 4 times I want a refund she said I can just give 10$ I said no I want at least half and she says no no no just 10$ I take the 10$ and said you will be getting blasted all over social media so here I am DONT GO THETE AT ALL TERRIBLE PEOPLE. such a shame too because I know someone who goes there and her nails have never looked this way! I walked in to get my nails done for graduation and they accommodated me. I got a full set of acrylic tips with gel polish with a design on each finger for $55 and a gel pedicure for $35. Overall pleased with my experience and I would come back but only if I'm in the area. read more

There was only about 2 or 3 people in the salon but they rushed me so fast.. I have never had my nails done at such lightning speed. I had a set of acrylic nails put on and it was all uneven and lumpy. The next week I went back to a different place and had them take them off and redo them. Do not go to this place... Fill ins with Shirley are a must! Since I stopped wrapping I will get a Manu pedi only sometimes and eyebrow wax. Since hurricane Sandy they have updated the damaged furnishings and pedi chairs. Place is moderately busy - usually less than a 15 minute wait. Good services for the cost. Been a regular here for more than ten years now. I've come here for 7 years for regular manicure, regular pedicure, and some waxing. I've had almost only great experiences, with the exception of maybe one where my forehead broke out severely after a wax, but that could have been for other factors. The workers are considerate and honest about wait times. read more

It was my first and last time- my nails are ruined after coming here. I came here to get my gel nail polish removed and I am not very experienced in removal etiquette but I found it strange that she used an electric drill. Usually at my other salon they soak my nails before manually scraping it off. My nails started to burn after she drilled them off and was in such a rush that even the manicure was horrible. Afterwards, my nails are thin, painful, brittle and completely filed down. It will take a couple of months for them to recover. I wish I knew better to tell her not to use the electric file. NEVER let anyone file your gel mani off with an electric drill. read more

This salon is the closest to where I live, so I tried it two years ago and hated it, and of course one never learns from one's mistakes :( Went here again because needed nails done asap. I had to have my gel nails removed and get a mani. They removed the gel with the electric drill - it hurt, and it ruined my nails! I should have stopped them! They did not even use the acetone to remove the nails - just drilled them off, then polished with a filing cube! My nails feel thin now, the tips feel sharp and brittle. Also, they trimmed the nails with the trimmer and barely filed them, so my side edges are very sharp now, I hate how they feel. The lady used a hard stone like stick to soften the edges (when I asked her to), but it barely took any nail off - those sticks are not supposed to be used to shape the nails as they are not abrasive enough. I plan to reshape the nails at home :(. Please do not let them use the drill to take off the gel polish!!! It will ruin your nails. I have never had that done at any other salons - the nails are always scraped slightly, then soaked off in acetone. I will never ever set foot in this place again. read more

I came in to get pedi and mani (to remove powder I got at diff salon). Technician didn't change gloves from previous customer. Another woman came and litterally started to chip my powder off my nail, I told her to stop as I saw my friends powder being removed with cotton in acetone placed on the nail and wrapped with foil. I asked them to use acetone. She brought me a bowl of acetone and asked me to put my fingers in for 20 min. I did it (although feared getting a chemical burn the entire time). Finally they got the powder off and asked me to wash my hands. As I was washing and she thought I wasn't looking, she put all the acetone my fingers were just in for 20 min, back into the bottle to be used on other people (acetone my fingers were in might have been reused as well). This is a review for their waxing NOT their nails. I get my eyebrows waxed here for only $5. For the work they do it's good pricing and they always do them really well. It's a quick in and out so definitely would recommend! To wax upper lip is another $5 which I usually don't get. read more
