I created a Yelp Project to find a nail spot that could remove my hard gel manicure and pedicure, and do a new set. I will say that while SN2 Nail & Lashes followed up with my Yelp Project initially, it took more follow up on my end to get something scheduled. Many nail salons seem to not want to deal with hard gel, and SN2 will, so I ended up scheduling with them. While I liked the end result of my manicure, my pedicurist was not as cautious of avoiding getting any gel polish on my skin. My manicurist did a good job of recreating the set I wanted, but didn't seem excited about playing around with it to make it her own. I was also hoping that because I'd scheduled an appointment, I'd be in and out in an hour, but the services took about 2 hours to complete - part of which is the fact they chose to both file and soak off the gel instead of just using the efile from the beginning. Not sure if this a New York specific thing, or a miscommunication about what I wanted, but from what I've been told soaking your nails in acetone twice a month is very harmful to your nails; it makes them weaker, and then filing after can damage the nail plate. E-filing is less damaging and more efficient. The interior of the salon is beautiful, and inviting, and the staff are nice. read more

I came in for a simple gel mani and I was pretty satisfied with the result. Nails and cuticles look very clean. I called ahead by 1 hr for an appointment since their online booking didn't seem to work. It was pretty busy so it was an extra 10 min wait or so, but you can browse the nail polish colors in the meantime. Total time including wait was about 1 hr. It feels hectic since everyone is crammed pretty closely at bar seating and there's a steady rotation of customers, but it's busy for a reason! read more

This salon is very clean and well maintained for customers. Techs are friendly but my recent visit was off putting. The nail tech didn't know how to do French tips, so a different tech had to complete this job and it took them about 2 hours. They proceeded to charge me $70 for an acrylic refill plus an additional $20 for the "design"..my total was $92. This is not my first experience at the salon and although the design is nice, it isn't what I asked for. I was completely disappointed in the cost and will not be back unless it's for a refund. I used to be a regular at this nail salon, but after what happened yesterday, I won't be returning. I asked my nail tech to give me the same color she was wearing, a nude cat-eye shade that looked really pretty. Since I was getting Gel-X, I didn't want the fake nail to show through, so I asked if we could apply a nude gel base under the cat-eye layer. She insisted multiple times that two layers would be enough and that the color would look the same. What she didn't mention was that adding the second layer would make the color turn into a dark purple. I have several events this month and needed a lighter, nude tone. When I asked about the color after seeing the result, she responded passive-aggressively, insisting it was the same shade, even though my nails looked purple and hers were clearly nude with glitter. She wasn't fluent in English, but it was obvious she was annoyed despite me asking politely. My total came out to $107 before tip. When I asked how much it would cost to change just the color, they told me, very rudely, that I'd have to pay full price again, another $107, just to redo the gel color. At this point, I'll be going to another salon to fix the color and won't be coming back. I'm really disappointed with the service and how the situation was handled. read more

I like this salon but I noticed the nail tech with the boy cut hair( she may be one of the bosses) rushes when doing my nails and hurts me. I've had to tell her to please take it easy, she's hurts me & being a little too rough. I also told her I want almond shaped nails and she did a more round shape. Was not happy. really disappointed with this place!! first off the employees are a bit rude! also while the gel was curing it burned soooo badly!! i also heard someone else complaining about the pain and in both cases the techs just dismissed it instead of trying to fix the lamp or gel thickness etc!! i have gotten gel extensions many many times and have never experienced burning like this before. also they charged so much extra for nail decals, some of which have already fallen off. just not great quality nor service and they charge way too much for what they provide. read more
