Kudos to Cactus Pete's 36 Steak and Seafood Restaurant! We had the pleasure of dining at the newly renovated restaurant on January 6, 2016. The atmosphere was similar to the previous Plateau Room. Very cozy and well done! It was a 5 star dining experience thanks to our chef and our server, Frani! Their specialty seafood bisque was outstanding as well as the side dishes and the 12 oz cold water lobster tail was to die for! This experience compares to any fine dining experience that we have had in San Diego or Las Vegas, including the Stratosphere, minus the view! The service and the food was over the top. We look at visiting Cactus Pete's and the 36 Steakhouse as a more private, but still first class place as compared to Reno or Las Vegas. The hotel and amenities like the pool area are all top notch. At 36 Steakhouse, you can expect great food and service in a more intimate atmosphere. The only caution is the the hotel and restaurant are on mountain time in a state where everything else is on pacific time. You need to keep that in mind when you make reservations, so you don't show up an hour late for dinner! read more

We lovve coming to Cactus Pete's not only to get away and gambling but for the great shows that they have in The Gala Room. We wrap are evening in the 36 Steak & Seafood were you recieve a kings welcome and the best food in Idaho. We have visited the 36 Steak & Saefood several and the experience is always like the first time. From the greeter to the server and even the chefs visit to our table. We're driving and looking for a place to eat and found this little place tucked away in a casino. The place is nice and cozy. The service is fine, although a little slow since there's only 2 servers at that time. Compliments to the chef for cooking a very delicious dish for us. We got the lobster mac and cheese, very delicious and the steak is really flavorful. We don't eat out a lot but I think I found a place to eat from time to time when we pass by here again to unwind. read more

What a nice experience my wife and I had at this restaurant on Feb 18, 2017. It was my wifes birthday present, a trip to Jackpot and dinner. The dinner was spectacular and our server was a super star. He did a great job of serving us without overwhelming us. Very enjoyable evening and even better food. The food, service, and atmosphere is 5 stars all around. My favorite dish is the crab cakes; my huaband had the rib eye with the flaming one pound potato. We both left full and satisfied. Our party of three had amazing service and food! Everything we had was excellent. We ordered the baked Brie app, lobster, lobster bisque, mashed potatoes, green beans, and salad as well as the ahi tuna! Fine food, excellent service, impeccable with the details of a fine dining restaurant, which it is. 36 compares to (and is often better than) four and five star restaurants in Reno, Las Vegas, and Lake Tahoe. Not for kids, this is a classy, adult venue. read more

36 Steakhouse at Cactus Pete's was amazing. The prime rib was perfect. The scalloped potatoes are wonderful. The service is excellent, highly recommended. Hope to see Beef Wellington on the menu in the future one of my favorites. read more
