The vibe is classic dive - everyone is enjoying their own moment and no one judges. It's the easiest place to be yourself on broadway. AND - Now they take card, which is a wild change from the cash-only dive everyone cherishes. If you come on the right night, Ricky's street tacos are one of the best late night pick-me-ups you can find on broadway (burger is solid too). Before going in I drank a drink at the liquor store next door trying to save money in expensive bar drinks. While waiting outside I saw several of the drunkest people of my life walk into the bar. Usually I see people walk out of bars like this never multiple walking in. It was also just passed 9:30pm at this time. Nice inside I ordered two Green Tea shots. Trying to keep it healthy. It is cash only so I pulled out two twenty dollar bills expecting it to be around $30+ dollars. It was $10 for the two drinks. I was shocked. And the drinks were very strong at that. You know they are going to be strong when while the bartender is pouring the drinks she is looking around not really paying attention to the amount leaving the bottle. It's also the type of place where everyone is friendly and probably can easily have a conversation with anyone. But also the place where I don't personally feel inspired to have a conversation with most of them. The few conversations I was pulled in to were a bit beyond uncouth for me. But no judgement. Anyway just for the price of the drinks and friendly atmosphere I give the place the full rating. It's noisy inside and has two pull tables. But definitely the type of place you can make what you will out of. And I heard from a reliable source Conan O'Brien has hung out there which I would never have expected. This was my kinda bar. It's basically your local hole-in-the-wall bar. I loved it. I didn't stay for long 'cause I had to be somewhere else, but I didn't feel or get any of the negativity that I saw in some of the reviews. We were helping a friend move and waiting for him to sign his lease, so we stopped into this bar to kill time. What a fun dive bar! I'd probably spend wayyy too much time here if I lived close by. - Cash only - Drinks are cheap AF. Two well drinks cost us $13. - No draft beer, just bottles, but coldest bottle of Stella I've ever held in my hand! - Bartender was super nice and offered us little styrofoam bowls of potato chips - Some patrons brought their dog, who slept under the barstools - Pool tables and jukebox - They don't serve food, but you can bring in any food you'd like. The men next to me at the bar had a pizza, and another group ordered from the Thai restaurant next door and the server delivered it directly to them at the bar. Went to this bar for the first time and a "person" (using term loosely) was very friendly to the young lady checking IDs at the front . however once she entered the bar this same person asked me if I wanted to buy a g*n. mind you I never spoke nor do i know this person. which doesn't matter the statement was obscured. This place reminds me of my local neighborhood bar... just situated in Long Beach. We came here for a birthday party last Saturday and had a blast! It was busy but not too crowded, they had a taco vendor (it was 3 for $5 and we got al pastor, carnitas, and pollo), and they have a Touch Tunes juke box that you can control from an app on your phone. The average drink price was $6 and compared to LA or other places in Long Beach, that's a steal. It's cash only, but they do have an ATM and a change machine for quarters. The two pool tables are 4x quarters each and they seem to have just bought new cues for their customers. It's a medium sized sports-neighborhood-dive bar. The bartender Missy was amazing and took care of everyone there. They don't really have a parking lot to accommodate their customers and it's mainly street parking, but we didn't have any trouble finding parking in the residential area a couple streets over. read more

One of the worst customer experiences I've ever had at a bar. My wife and I walked into the bar and we were treated with absolute disrespect. We felt uncomfortable and the atmosphere was awful. It was my first time at one of these dive bars and definitely not my last. After dinner, we wanted to get a drink close by and found this little one right down the street. It was nearly the end of the Super Bowl game so it was definitely crowded. Although it was hard to flag down a bartender, with the help of some locals, we were able to get drinks. I got a bottle of 805 and she got some Jameson mixed with Ginger Ale. The total came out to be around $13, which wasn't too bad. You have the little bar area on one side, along with a couple of TVs and then you have the other side that has two pool tables, a couple arcade games, and bar stools that cover up the little table around the edge of the bar, with another TV in the back corner of the bar. Definitely a spot if you're a local. I would check this place out on a slower night. It's definitely an intimate setting with plenty of seats. Be sure to note that this is a CASH ONLY bar. Once in a while, I like to play Pool. The Thirty Six Thirty Six Club has good Pool tables. In my experience, customer service is friendly, and good. I don't drink alcohol so I can't tell you about the club's drinks, and I've yet to even look at the menu for food options so I can't tell you about the club's food. This is a hidden divey gem of a bar! The bar is basically one large room with two sections--one with the bar and the other with the pool tables. We went on a Saturday afternoon and there were maybe 15 people there just lounging, drinking and watching TV, which is a nice mellow spot to get a buzz on and hang with some friends. As a beer drinker, I didn't think they had the best selection, (mostly american brews and hey, I'm a beer snob), but Stella hit the spot. My boyfriend ordered a vodka cocktail which was strong and cheap! This is definitely a nice and quaint local bar. I would recommend this as a good day-drinking spot. The bartenders make strong drinks. My favorite drinks are Lemon Drops and Bloody Mary's. The prices of most drinks are average for comparable bars on West Broadway. Some patrons are quite rude so it's best to come with friends to avoid the hostile environment created by truculent regulars who like to insult single, middle- aged women.
