This place needs a huge lesson in customer service. I'm visiting from out of town and had heard decent things about this place, so I decided to give it a try. We walked in around 11:30 a.m. There was only one other customer (a dad and his son) and the person who walked in just before us, who appeared to either be a friend or a regular, based on how all three employees greeted her. While they were extremely friendly to her, we weren't acknowledged at all--not even a simple "We'll be right with you." Instead, the employees stood there for more than five minutes talking about how business was, how they slept, what they did over the weekend, melatonin, and other personal topics. During that time, no one took our order or made any effort to help us. After waiting, I finally said, "If you guys are going to keep having a conversation, can we at least order our coffee and get that started?" They looked at me like I had said something unreasonable. One employee, who was sitting at a table near the counter coloring, muttered something under her breath, and they still didn't take our order. Instead, they continued their conversation. At that point, we left. This experience was completely unacceptable. Great customer service starts with acknowledging people when they walk through the door, especially when your shop is nearly empty. Unfortunately, this first impression ensured we won't be back, and I can't recommend this business to others. read more

The girl who took my order wasn't friendly at all. Initially was on an iPad and took maybe 30-40 seconds before even being acknowledged. Order was wrong. The coffee was just ok, not that great. However if you have to get coffee somewhere in this town it's probably one of the better places. read more

Such a cute little place with yummy drinks and food! We stopped here while traveling through and so glad we did. We shared a peanut butter cookie (huge and dense!) and a Lunch sandwich and I had a cold brew. Highly recommend! read more

What a wonderful coffee shop! Very welcoming with a neighborhood feel. Seemed like there were several regulars that stop by and knew staff. Importantly, excellent wifi - I was working remote for two days from this shop and had no issues connecting to internet or Zoom. My favorite was Sweater Weather but at half the sweetness level as I enjoy a coffee taste and often times the sweetness can be overpowering. The breakfast burrito also can't be beat and can be made vegetarian by taking out the bacon (and adding greens). All in all, a great coffee shop! read more

392 Caffé is a GEM! First of all, they're extremely warm and welcoming. I always feel at home here. I ordered the honey lavender latte and lemme tell you, it's fabulous! Refreshing, not too sweet, hints of lavender that aren't too overpowering! 10/10 recommend! I love the murals, music, and overall vibe of this location. It's fun, upbeat, and refreshing! I've been to the location in Davenport a couple times, so I thought I knew what to expect but...no. This location was SO MUCH BETTER. First of all, it's less modern, more welcoming and homey. I was greeted the MINUTE I walked in the door, and they took such great care of me. I wish I got my cashiers name, because wow, he killed it. He deserves a raise. He was SO helpful, so passionate about what they were serving, and wasn't lying. I got the salted caramel bourbon coffee (I forget what it was called, but is was SO GOOD. The best coffee I had all week in town), the power bowl with egg and tofu and pesto sauce (okay, wow - the healthiest and most delicious meal I had all week, my body thanked me for it), and the cranberry white chocolate cookie, which I didn't initially lean towards but they talked me into it and HOLY MOLY. It tasted like cookie dough in cookie form and WOW. I'll be dreaming about it, I honestly regret not going back to get more. My experience here was amazing, being from a city I sometimes struggle with the food options in Clinton and how they make me feel (see: greasy, fatty, meat and potatoes minus the veggies), so this is a breath of fresh air. It will absolutely be my go to when I'm in town for work. read more

This place is such an oasis in this small town with usually traditional restaurants and fast food joints , touch of modernity was seriously welcome the food was so delicious, the drinks were even better. They have a good collection of coffee beans which I would have bought if I didn't have 20000 varieties of coffee at my place hahah cheers guys read more

Would love to give this place a great review. The owners seem wonderful and the atmosphere is great. Like top notch. But the coffee was bitter and the bread with boiled egg on top was dry and when we asked for some sauce they said no. Our friend had the burrito which he said was very good. Perhaps there were some new people working behind the counter but it was a pity. I would say give it a shot cause it looked great. But just avoid the egg on bread for breakfast and hope the barista knows what they are doing. read more

The food we ordered was amazing. This gives "breakfast burritos" a new meaning! You can't go wrong with anything you order here. This is a lovely coffee shop that I've been to a few times now. The experience is always a good one, but it can be on the expensive side. The coffee is tasty and breakfast held me over. They used to have cupcakes and brookies (brownie + cookie) but I don't believe they have them anymore. They did open up a location over in Davenport too. The inside is pretty cool and those working have always been nice. If you haven't been then you should check it out! read more

Awesome coffee and dare I say an even better atmosphere! The staff and owner are beyond friendly and not in a "we have to be because we're working" sense. They're just genuinely happy to greet you when you come in and it really highlights what a great company it must be to work for as well. The workers are efficient and fast while also relaxed. Really shows they're running a great show there and management is likely A+ based on what I've seen. I've never had a bad drink from there. I love the espresso tonic in the summer and any hot drink in the winter. So I walked in, kinda trendy looking interior. Usually the type of place I avoid as its a bit... eh, hipsterish. Boutique. Lots of times I find places like this care more about how they look then the product they put out. However, I walk up to the counter and the dude (pretty cool dude, red hair, beard) asked what I was looking for, what type of flavor I'd like, I told him and he recommended the wild turkey I believe. And honestly? I gotta say, probably the best coffee I've ever had by miles. I tipped more then my coffee cost, if that says anything. Ended up going to the river not even 2 blocks away and enjoying it while looking over the Mississippi. I might end up stopping in at more boutique places in Clinton if they keep subverting my expectations like this place has. Will absolutely return and I recommend anybody in the area stop by to try it out as well. read more

We come here every time we are in town. It's the best place for coffee! You can actually order a cortado here, which is not common at most places. Today I ordered the power bowl. This place is a hidden gem. When compared to other coffee establishments in the area, this blows them out of the water. The food was great and the coffee wasn't overpowered with too much cheap syrup. Oh my goodness! I'm not feeling well today, my husband had a conference call, and we were hungry for breakfast. I found 392 Caffe, downloaded their app, ordered online for delivery which arrived within minutes and ate the best breakfast Burrito bowl ever! I added Chorizo to mine, and when I took the lid off of the container the smokiness of that Chorizo just smacked me in the face! I'm SO impressed with this coffee shop here. The honey lavender latte with oat milk is one of the best I've had. I'm still thinking about it 3 days later back home. The lemon blueberry cookie is so yummy too. We also downed the chicken salad sandwich on their homemade bread. The people who worked there offered to lend their personal booster seat for my toddler to use. It's a welcoming and refreshing space. If you're visiting Clinton, it's a must visit! read more

There isn't to many places to get breakfast during the covid-19. 392 Caffé in Clinton was delicious. Very appetizing and tasted wonderful. I had the breakfast burrito with chorizo, jalapeños, eggs and it was a good size. The blueberry roll was pretty good too. I also had the super monkey and they gave me the extra. I picked it up food was ready in 10 minutes. Overall great service and great food. read more

3 1/2 stars- I love this place so much. The food and coffee are the absolute best you will find anywhere in the surrounding area. However, on the app and in person, I have been told frequently that my food/drink will be out in 15-20 mins. Today, I waited over an hour. I would just suggest to state the realistic wait, because it is definitely frustrating. Also, to comp. any that have waited over an hour. I genuinely don't think I have ever had to wait that long at an establishment before. I would add that the QCA locations seem to be more efficient and have good customer service. read more

This place is THRIVING. Every time I come here I can see the growth. This visit showcased new brewing techniques, MAPLE F'ING BACON coffee, and local goods for purchase. We of course had to try their very own coffee bean blend, "Local West." So wonderful. We were looking for a middle point to meet my parents at between Iowa City and Madison. We stumbled across 392 Caffe's Yelp reviews and decided it warranted our first visit to Clinton. What else would we do in Clinton? We had no idea, but this cafe was going to be our starting place. And thank goodness it was, because wow what a diamond in the rough! This cafe has it all, from a fun vintage-hipster vibe, to both an incredible bakery case and sandwich menu, and (the most noteworthy part of this experience) baristas who truly know what they're doing! Really, these guys are killing it. I can't say enough good things about this place. And I can't use enough exclamation marks. Seriously, take a day trip and go check it out. Clinton surprisingly has some fun things to explore along the way, so it's well worth the trip (see: Sawmill Museum, Wide River Winery, the Mississippi river showboat, and loads of beautiful hiking trails). read more

While in town visiting my mom, I was so happy to discover this wonderful cafe. Clinton is not exactly a Mecca for gourmet delis and coffee shops, so this was a rare treat. We were taking my mom out to lunch and needed to find a place. So after reading all the reviews on Yelp, we decided this place would be perfect. After reading so many positive things about their salted caramel mocha, that's what my husband ordered and he was not disappointed. He said it was one of the best mochas he's ever had. And they even did a cute heart-shape drawing with the foam and caramel in the cup. I've never seen that done in person, not even in Des Moines. I ordered a Cubano sandwich and it was delicious but a little on the small side for $8. My husband got a bacon and Gouda sandwich which he loved. His sandwich was also pretty small. My mom got a bacon and cheddar quiche. She said it was good. I love that the cafe had a wide variety of items from breakfast and lunch items to bakery goods like cupcakes and muffins and drinks like coffees and teas to smoothies and other frozen drinks. They have something for everyone; even for the non-coffee lover like me. I don't know what people are talking about when they said they received terrible customer service. We were welcomed cheerfully when we walked in the cafe. And the person behind the counter was also very friendly when he took our orders. My husband also spoke to the owner before we left and he took the time to speak to my husband about how he started his restaurant. My husband also told him about some good restaurants in Des Moines if he was ever in town. We had a very nice experience. I'm so glad we have a place to eat the next time we're in town. I would have given them five stars but their sandwiches were kind of small for the price. But otherwise, everything else was stellar. read more

Stumbled upon this place on a small weekend getaway from Chicago. I can confidently say that this coffee shop is on-par with some of the best shops around us in Chicago.
