I went here to get a simple gel soak off right before my nail appointment with another nail artist who doesn't remove gel if it isn't her own work. If 3D Design was quick and clean, I would have came back for gel on my toenails after my finger nail appointment. It was not quick nor was it clean. I asked for a gel soak off and the woman helping me asked me to clarify three time if I wanted polish to be put on after the soak off. I said no and that a gel soak off would be just fine. She proceeded to go and help two other customers and got their pedicures started lol. No given wait time, no one said they'll be right with me. Nothing. Also not dirrrrrty per say, but not the cleanest. There was a warm cup of melted ice coffee on the floor next to the register. Nice layer of dust. Wouldn't recommended. read more

Went in for dip and pedi on Friday, and noticed the woman that sits on the far left closest to windows only dipped my nails twice which I was not a fan of. By Saturday, one of my nails had already popped off so I went back to have them fix one nail and they kept bsing and it took them 30 minutes to fix the one nail. I even showed her how the other nails were starting to lift and she put crazy glue on my nails and filed them down. The next day after doing that, another nail broke and another has completely came off. I am just going to go to another salon and pay for an entire new "set" of dip, I'm annoyed and unsatisfied. read more

Worsts service in the city. I had a pedicure and fillin over my natural nails and they both look ragged. Not to that they tried to scam me and other customers on the pricing. They did not have the price of services displayed and tried to scam me and another customer for extra tip money. I always tip my Technicians but the Manager added an extra $10 on my bill nevertheless I still tip them for their less than professional service. The nail tech didn't know what she was doing and cut my nails sideways. So they are not straight but slanted. I didn't realize this from my view of the pedicure chase until she finished. She had to ask someone to bring her glasses. Then she tried ro oaijt ny nails by glopping polish in so that it runs down my skin. She also cut my skin w the cuticle trimmer. Not my cuticle... a big fat cut in my big toe and a cut into fresh skin NOWHERE close to the cuticle. Someone else came over to finish what she started. I informed them that my feet were ashy post pedicure but were not ashy beforehand. The woman had forgotten to use lotion and I had to request it for this "deluxe pedicure." Then the guy BLOWS on my feet to dry the polish, introducing bubbles and then the polish slide off ny nails. I had him redo those nails 2x but I give up. To add insult to injury they charged me 45. When the service is 40. I do NOT recommend. Steer clear. They also don't appear to use new nail files on people. They re use old ones. read more

I have come here about three times. I was recommended to go to Chi Chi. I will admit that she did my nails very well. But her attitude is mediocre as well as the other staff. When I first walked in , I sat down and waited. An older lady walked in and complained that her nail had broke and that she was just there a few days ago. A gentleman who I assume was the manager tood her that no, she could not have been there. He said no, you weren't here. We didn't do your nails, sorry. Although I was turned off by that I decided I wanted to give Chi Chi a try. Like I said she was very good. The nails lasted a very long time, three weeks to be exact. The prices are a bit much then when I'm used to. Chi Chi is very rude and I don't know if it's because of a language barrier perhaps. But she gives you no conversation , does not say good morning or anything. I tipped her twice and she never said thank you. I mean $8- $15 tip! But when the white girl that was before me was leaving she made sure to tell her thank you and drive safely. I went there today for a fill in . I arrived at 9:22 although they do not open until 10. I was told that Chi Chi would be there at 9:40. That was a lie. While I was waiting I was looking at the no chip colors. The Gentlemen that greeted me took the colors out of my lap, gave me another basket and said those are both the same. He then took the colors I was looking at to another lady that he was doing a pedicure for. As I was looking at the colors I realized they were not the same. I went over and told him these are not the same colors and he said they are the same. I said no they are not. I was looking for the specific color that I saw and it wasn't in there. I sat back down and just decided to wait for Chi Chi. She arrived at 10. She walked in and said nothing. I said good morning. She say nothing. Another lady say hey Chi Chi and she said nothing. A gentleman called my name to go and sit in Chi Chi's chair. When I got in the chair and sat down,Chi Chi asked Me if I had an appointment. I told her no. She said she has an appointment at 10 o'clock and walked away. The gentleman who called my name said sit now I do for you. Bullshit!! I'm not double tipping! He thought he was going to start the process and then she would finish? Hell no! They already over charge for a fill in and a full set! It was $40 for a no chip fill in! And to be treated like crap when i come and I'm tipping everybody? I walked my ass right out of there. I've been practicing my anger management so I did not curse anybody out.I will only recommend this place if you don't care about how you're treated. They do a great job there but I'm not giving my money to anybody if they going to treat me like that. They need to learn customer service! Dammit they work for us, not the other way around! I like this place. There are so many nail shops in Chicago/Evergreen Park area but this place is open on Sunday. And until 5 PM! They are nice and attentive. I love the different pedicure options. They range from $20-$50. I've never had my nails done (I go to another place for that) but my feet....this place is a plus. The hubby and I come and get the $30 pedicure. Perfect no matter what time of the year. They incorporate a sea salt scrub and moisturizer based on the year. (One technique for summer and another for the winter). I'm a pedicure lover and this is my spot. 5 stars for service and Sunday hours! read more

I use to go to 3D regularly before the pandemic and stopped when everything shit down. It was always a pleasant experience, place was kept clean. I went a couple of weeks ago and as soon as I walked in I noticed a big change, ChiChi was not there and someone else was sitting in the space. I looked around and noticed how unkept and junky the place was, so I ask where were the owners to see how they faired during the pandemic. Was told they sold the nail salon and moved to California, and that explained why it had gone down. The guy was very rude when asking what I wanted done, should have walked right out. But I was going out of town the next day and just wanted a manicure. Sat down and the flexiglass they had up to divide the customers was filthy, I understand the dust from the nails gets all over but you could tell it hadn't been cleaned between customers, neither was the table or chairs. And the floor looked caked with dirt. The shop has clearly gone down and the new owners don't seem to care about their customers. I would not recommend this shop to anyone. read more

This is the only salon I go to in my neighborhood, because I know I can trust them to be sanitary. They are fast, friendly, and always do an excellent job. I highly suggest the No Chip manicure from here. At $30, it's cheaper than most places, and I keep mine on for about 2 weeks before it starts growing out. They always have relaxing music playing. The only thing I don't like is that they often speak to each other in another language--- but that is pretty standard at any nail salon of this kind. read more

Yesterday I went and literally got sick to my stomach. When me and my friend arrived for our foot spas, two of the nail techs prepared the bowls. My friend looked into her bowl that was filled with water and all the sea salt etc. and dead skin was floating around in the water. The man (who watches the money) kept insisting that the water was just prepared until she called him over and he saw all the dead skin floating himself. He quickly let the water out and rinsed the bowl out... I almost puked! That was so disgusting! I really like the way the two older ladies do my feet but that incident has turned me all the way off, will not be returning! read more

So I live in the Bronzeville area of the city, and for the last 6 months I have commuted all the way too Evergreen Park to this salon. At first they used to have STELLAR customer service, but now they have the WORST customer service I have EVER experienced. During my last visit the gentleman was very rude who did my fill in service. The entire time he was doing my nails he was watching a movie on his phone? ?! .....Umm, how Rude! !! Then when he asked me if I wanted my nails trimmed down I told him no. He then told me that I should "cut them down because they were too long and that is not what I should get." ...ummm, Hello? ?? But the last time I checked if I'm paying for a service, I should be able to keep the length I want! !!! Second visit was today, just left out of there and after waiting for 25 minutes she ( some woman by the name of Chichi) tells me that there is a pedicure bowl ready for me, I put my foot in and it was FREEZING Cold! Not luke warm, but FREEZING Cold!!!! AND when I tell her she says "Oh I can add some hot water to make it warmer" so she did. Then, I put my foot back in the water still FREEZING Cold! She then directs me to go to a bowl on the other side of the salon which you probably guessed was FREEZING Cold as well. They tell me to have a seat and then they start speaking vietnamese or whatever language it is they speak looking at me as if I'm the one that told their hot water not to work! (First off, I personally think it's rude to speak in another language while conducting business unless the person your conducting business with speaks another language) They don't offer an apology or anything for the inconvenience, so I have a seat and after waiting 20 more minutes I'm fed up and start putting on my coat to leave, then the lady says the water is starting to get warmer because she sees me trying to leave. ...A LOAD OF CRAP!!! This Salon is very sanitary and comfortable. UNlike most Asian salons you are NOT rushed in and out. Also UNlike most non Asian salons you are NOT overcharged for great service. The ventilation could be better-- product fumes can give you a slight headache-- but otherwise it is GREAT! I live in the West Loop and will travel allllll the way South to get GREAT service at a GREAT price. It's worth the price of gas for me-- and I drive a gas guzzler. ;) Oh one other thing... I LOATHE nail salons that are right off the street for passersby to see/watch ladies (and men) being groomed. 3D is set back from the street and the setup is more conducive to semi-privacy during service. read more
