He matched a McIntosh integrated amp with a pair of Dali Epicon speakers and a REL subwoofer. He came out to the house, set-up the entire thing and even corrected errors on my video system. The results were incredible. I could not be happier with the component choices and the musicality of the system. It has a great sound stage. Daves interest, attention and willingness to take the time to explain things are second to none. This is the only place to go when shopping for high-end audio equipment.

He noticed that Simply Stereo was listed on Salamander's website as a premier dealer. He sent an email inquiring about coming in to see some items in person, and we headed there on Saturday afternoon. We were greeted right away by Dave, who was helping a customer carry something out to their car. When he came back in, he listened to what we were there for and showed us upstairs to one of the listening rooms. He patiently answered approximately five million questions from my husband and, as luck would have it, what they had on display almost exactly matched what we were looking for. They were able to to get fiddly with the details of what looking at side panel options and determining how the tv mount connects. It was a no brainer to make our purchase from Simply Stereo. The price was excellent and the customer service was top notch. From the email through purchase, it was a great experience and we'll definitely be back in the future - I think a few speakers caught my husband's eye while we were wandering the store.

My wife was extremely excited. Yooyoo looks like a very young Kenny G (look it up). Very relaxed, knowledgeable and doesn't come across as a rep that's hungry for a sale on a Sunday afternoon. Although we live in the city, I'd definitely make the 40 minute drive back to Schaumburg for the great service. My humble opinion.... I do feel as a customer, it does work better for me when I have a purpose. Then at least your asking questions based on intent rather than just simply browsing... which is totally fine as well. Just be ready for multiple reps coming at you in every department. Long story short, walked away with a great and grateful experience! A laptop screen should not fail this quickly under normal use. When I brought it in, an employee initially checked the computer and told me it would be repaired under the warranty at no cost. Three days later, I was contacted and told they would not honor the warranty unless I paid for the repair because they claimed I had damaged the screen. It's frustrating that after first agreeing to fix it under warranty, they changed their decision and refused to repair it without additional payment. Very disappointing experience. Between the poor quality of the laptop and the lack of support, I expected much better from both Best Buy and Lenovo. Best Buy seems very greedy and will charge for anything. Fix your terrible computers or at least give a free warranty for everything. Should not break if it's such an expensive computer. 0 stars if I could. Greedy computer corporate executives and store management. Will do anything for more money and status.

Century Electronics was located in the same plaza. My friends and I would go in the store and look at all the hifi stereo equipment. This was probably nearing the end of the HIFI stereo era which produced the best iconic stereo equipment of all time. Needless to say we were tolerated even tho we couldn't afford anything in the store. Fast forward 30 years. My collection of stereo equipment was all manufactured before I was born by a good decade. It's the type of equipment that you get fixed and will never ever see the bottom up a dumpster. The number of individuals still alive with the skill to service these units and restore them to their glory is dwindling every year that goes by. Century Electronics has not 1, but 2 old school techs that can fix anything from Marantz receivers, McIntosh tube amplifiers to speakers all made before the Vietnam war. They take pride in their work and preserve quality by refusing to use cheap Chinese capacitors and other inferior parts. This is the only place I will take my equipment. Don't expect to walk in for the ABT style showroom with 100k of product. The back room repair shop is where it's at here.

My experience with "the other" similar store was horrible, which led me to this one. I went in and dropped my PS3 off on a rainy day. Ran into the "store". It's very small, they have used odds and ends in the front for purchase. You can certainly smell that they still smoke in the back, but whatever. I just want my PS3 working. They seemed knowledgeable enough. The younger-guy said it would only be like 4 hours to get it fixed and that he'd call me. So sure enough, either same day or next day they called back to let me know it was ready and I went to get it. Super cheap for my "yellow light of death". Still is working. The only scary part is that they only guarantee their work for like 30 or 60 days - can't remember which. That made me a bit nervous, because it seems like maybe they have units come back a lot..?? Why wouldn't they guarantee it longer. Hmm. Regardless, mine is still working. And it's been like a 45-60 days. updated 11/24/12 - So.. I have to update my rating and review. Unfortunately my PS3 died again 2 weeks ago. So apparently this is the reason why they only have a "30-day guarantee". Right. Got it now. Will not be paying to service it again. Unfortunately will have to bite the bullet and buy a new one. :( So, I have to change my rating.
