Environment is super casual ,more then what we were expecting based on Groupon ( restaurant is half sit down dining style and other half is like a muchos Gracias that is for quick order and takeout ). Service was decent. Food was pretty good. The chicken taquitos were really good! Chicken was moist and wrapped in crisp corn tortillas . (Perfect for me because Im gluten sensitive and often these are made with flour tortillas ) The Fajitas were decent too, nothing mind blowing but came in a large portion, perfect for 2 to split ! I was at 4 Caminos the same time Miller J was there. I totally disagree with the comments he made about this place. 1) if the drinks were that bad why did you wait until you paid to say something about them? 2) If you would learn to read every night is a different drink special. 3) Funny how you had said no flavor in beans and rice seeing how you did eat most of both. 4) You did tell them to take off the charge for the drinks and if they didn't you will write a bad review on them. 5) there were people at 7 tables including you 6) At check out I was right there listening to you threating them to write a bad review if they didn't take the charge off. The owner NEVER said "That's the way it is, you pay now..come on." He said he will not take it off and thanked you for coming in. Both workers were nice and never rude to them while you cursed at them. 4 Caminos has good food and I have NEVER had a bad experience with them. Poor food, poor value. I went here looking for good tamales. I got a tamale/enchilada combo plate. The tamale was so dry and overcooked I could hardly cut it with fork and knife. The enchilada was tiny and was obviously cooked in one sauce, and had another luke warm sauce put on afterwards. The sauces were not only obviously different temperatures, but also different flavors. Interesting. The server was nice, but only checked back once. The floor and tables were clean but the ceiling vents looked gross. I had good hopes, but I don't think I'll be back. read more

Would not recommend if you're a non Hispanic family coming in to eat. My family and I came here a few weeks ago. We got in, ordered our drinks and we were the only people in the restaurant at the time. After we came in two others families came in and ordered their drinks and got them way before we ever got ours (3 drinks for us) the server seemed nice but whenever she left our table she'd talk with another table about us, they'd laugh and point at us. We ordered our food before anybody else in the restaurant, after waiting for 90 minutes and watching 4 other tables get their food before us and families coming in and out before we even got our food. We said screw this and just left. We didn't get checked on not even one time after ordering our food. We're a black family. I recommend anybody not of Hispanic descent stay far away from this poorly ran, racist operation. read more

I have been here multiple times at pretty odd hours and I really like it. Don't expect much in the way of service when its slow. The woman who work there don't talk much but they do cook well. And lets be real, that's all you really want. The drinks are stupid good and they have daily drink specials and happy hour. I can hold my liquor and trust me - you only need 1. Mai tai was good the last time I was there. Can't beat a drink for $4 on special. I always special orders since I have recently gone vegetarian. They totally catered to me. This restaurant was delightful on a holiday Monday afternoon at 1:30. We were pulled in by the big ragged banner proclaiming "99 cent tacos!" - well, by "we" I mean my sweetheart, who talked me into turning around. The place looks rough from the outside, it's in a shabby strip center on Fourth Plain and 35th Ave, approximately. It had a pond in the middle of the parking lot, but fear not, it was too shallow to stall even my low and feeble Hyundai Elantra. The interior of the restaurant was a welcome surprise, clean and bright with sunny yellow paint and splendid murals of Aztec lords and tropical vistas. And the food! Fantastic. Salsas are always a matter of taste, but I really liked theirs. The salsa brought to the table was very good, tangy, a cooked tomato/ semi pico style with mild heat and crunchy onions. The salsa bar had a couple of excellent examples of classic salsas, one green chile which was hot and salty, just how I love it. One with red chile, and a green tomatillo. All good. Also pickled onion and a nice onion/fresh jalapeno escabeche. Sweetie had the vegetable burrito, which came with mushrooms and onion, green pepper, rice and beans, smothered with a nice tomato sauce and lots of cheese - but not too much, Sweetie says, and NOT containing the ubiquitous broccoli which appears at inferior restaurants. He says, "It was HUGE". I got a tripas taco, because I looooove the chitlins, it was super tasty and not done crispy but also I didn't ask for it that way. And two 99c pork carnitas tacos. The pork was very good but not carnitas really, more of a pulled pork but totally worth 99c. Beans on the side were good too. The posters on the wall advertise Karaoke on Friday and Saturday night! They have a full bar program, margs look good. Sounds fun, we are trying to figure out the bus schedule back to the house because I could drink a couple of margaritas and sing my lil heart out sometime. :) read more

With Clark County opening up we were finally able to hit our favorite Mexican restaurant. Or at least it used to be. About a month before the quarantine it was sold to one of the employees who worked there for about a year. Unfortunately new management is not always a good thing. When we walked in first thing we noticed I was that the front area has been decluttered and looked bright. Then I noticed that none of the employees (two of which were owners kids) were wearing masks. Not good as I know this was a requirement of reopening. The menu had been reduced some but still had a lot of our favorites on it. Then they brought the chips and salsa which was like water with a few pieces of onion and cilantro in it. While it had a good flavor, it just dripped off the chips. I asked the girl who brought the why they weren't wearing masks and she said, very shyly, I forgot. All the employees immediately put masks on. Better late than never I guess. As we tried to eat our salsa and chips I asked waved down the boy and asked him why they changed it and he was clueless. I ordered my regular dish of chili relleno and cheese enchilada with beans and rice. When it arrived, the only thing hot on the plate was the relleno. The relleno was very good. Lightly breaded with crisp tender pepper and melty cheese. The enchilada, while tastes okay, was lukewarm at best so the cheese wasn't melty like it should have been. My husband ordered the Camerones al Mojo de Ajo which she said were a little too salty. Unfortunately, the meal was not up to expectations from what used to be one of the best places around and we'll be looking for a new favorite Mexican restaurant here in Vancouver. read more

The four caminos is great! The food was well seasoned, tasted fresh, the salsa is phenomenal. I had the chimichanga with rice and beans. It was way better than other restaurants I've been to. Keep up the good work. The place looks like a dump on the outside but the friendly service, food, and home like atmosphere make up for it. They need a remodel but otherwise the best Mexican restaurant in the northwest I've tried thus far. read more

This is one of the many ethnic restaurants existing on the Fourth Plain corridor here in the 'Couv. ***This is a review of 'Tacos al Pastor': their taco stand outside the Four Caminos restaurant which they also run*** Cheap, awesome tacos! A friend told me they were 'Mexico City' style. Not sure what that means, but they are good. I particularly enjoyed the Carne Asada version: lean, peppery, perfectly spiced. They are also way cheap. They have more adventurous ones too (tripe, tongue, etc.), but I'm a midwest boy - straight beef for me, please! It's in a complex with all Latino businesses (butcher, salon, the restaurant, convenience mart). Honestly, the restaurant itself is Mexican-by-the-book (underwhelming shredded chicken, lots of beans, lots of rice), but their food cart outside is worth checkin' out. read more

This place is top shelf tacos every time I go. They have a condiment bar with a pickled onion and habanero mix that cures my heat craving so nice. Besides the food the owners are so friendly and the place is usually totally low key so you won't be disturbed during the day. Best street tacos I've had north of Austin TX. We have been coming here for a couple of years for a Mexican fix. The food is always yummy and the service is terrific. We love that they give plentiful steaming hot tortillas with the entree so you can finish your entire plate and not run out. They have daily specials and drink specials. I've been coming here for a few years and what has kept me coming back are their $1 chicken and $1.50 steak tacos - great price and great taste! Also, if you order a meal off the menu it's not overly priced and the portion sizes are large. The only negative thing I can say is the location of this restaurant is horrible, it's in a run-down old plaza and there are a lot of shady people that hang around that area.
