Had to check out of our Airbnb and stopped here a bite to eat before catching the metro. Great service, outside vibes, and good pizza! We are for about $25 euros with some beers. Check them out! Very close to he colosseum

    It was ok.

If you are looking for Luzzi, this is not it, nor is it like Luzzi. If you were trying to go to the real Luzzi I suggest waiting in line. (FYI, the real Luzzi is closed on Wednesday) This restaurant was just OK. The staff was friendly, and the food was mildly good. For the price, I will not be back. I had a medium beer for €5 and it was three quarters full. I had a lasagna for €6, as well, and it was just OK. Having become a regular at the real Luzzi, and it's really hard to top them. Ciao ciao and enjoy Roma!

My friends and I had wanted to eat at luzzi and even waited in queue but the waiter took us across the street to this restaurant and said it was an extension to the Luzzi restaurant. Even the menu seemed different and the patronage unlike luzzis looked like they were all tourists. Whereas in luzzi the patronage consisted of only Italians. Anyhoo having visited the colosseo and the forto do palatino in the morning, we wanted some pizza. We ordered the following: 1. Pizza margerita - the crust was extra salty. The dough was not perfectly round so you knew it was fresh. The tomato paste was fresh and not made from sour (unripe) tomatoes. There were two basil leaves on it. It was nice but I wasn't wowed by it. 2. Sausage pizza with pecorino cheese - this pizza was extremely salty. Have it every day or often and you are guaranteed to die from sodium poisoning. There was barely any sausage on it and had two types of cheese. It was nice but I wasn't wowed. 3. Veal with roast potatoes - they used veal breast and it was really tender and the potatoes were nice and waxy and were seasoned with some herb. 4. Rigatoni funghi - the rigatoni was al dente and the mushrooms just tasted unlike any mushroom ive ever had. They were soaked in oil though and I guess that was the sauce. We didn't eat the bread that was placed on our table as it cost £2 and we had enough the night before. All up the bill came to around £37 including a bottle of still water.

Passed this spot on the way back to the hotel and thought I need to try and returned to find a…read moresmaller almost "hole in the wall" space with an extensive variety of specialty pie options and some fun signs posted-ie "If you ask me for ketchup and mayonnaise I'll call the police!!." They have a small pizza and a bigger size which I would say is about 10 inches. The small size was sold out on my first visit and found out better to arrive earlier (before 6) for these. The Mini pies are good if you want to try a few varieties-so many so little time. Ordered the big Amatriciana (the unloved pasta dish of the big Roman four as a pizza) which was recommended-Pecorino, mozzarella with the Pork cheeks taking it over the top-one of their most popular and rightfully so! On the second visit , they had the small size pies-Friarielli & Salsiccia-Broccoli Rave and sausage-tasty, Fegato & Cipolla-pork liver sausage with onions and peppers made for a "not everyday" and delicious pie. Both visits service was excellent and engaged. This place screams independent and one of a kind but it turns out they are a regional chain with a handful of locations. Amazing pizza with so many options!

Plus, the space is very hot inside, but better to sit near the window or do takeaway. I wasn't very hungry, but wanted one last pizza in Italy. When I saw that this spot does mini pizzas, which means I was able to choose a variety of flavors; I was so excited! Unfortunately, they ran out of the mini pizza dough and only had the large. It really is a shame, because I didn't think the bigger version is worth €15 each. Nonetheless, I ordered the Burrata & Anchovies while the husband got Pepperoni. I really did enjoy the flavor and chewiness of the dough. The burrata also gave it such a nice creaminess to balance the pizza that worked perfectly. Sadly, I had to waste a slice because I couldn't finish the larger pizza, so still a bit upset that I couldn't order the mini. With that said, it's a delicious pizza spot.
