Traditional restaurants in Rome, and around the country of Italy, are closed on Monday. In fact, outside of touristy areas, the only restaurants that are open on Mondays are fast food and pizza. That's why it's so rare to find a good place that's open, has fantastic service, and offers a decent menu at a fantastic price point. This is your go to place not just on Mondays, but really any day of the week. It is a bit more tourist oriented than some of the other more traditional Roman restaurants that I like to go to, but the food is very good and the staff are amazing. They're some of the nicest people I have ever met all my visits to Rome. So do yourself a favor, go - and have a wonderful evening meal . . . especially on a Monday. read more

Perhaps the best food I had in Rome in a number of visits. We couldn't have the chance to try the whole big menu but we also couldn't try anything else after we had the truffle porcini pasta, grilled seafood plate, and a couple of pizza but I can't remember which one. The desserts were also very good. Nice and big restaurants with friendly service. A bit far from the city center but we didn't mind the distance. A group of priest walk into the restaurant... (Insert bad joke). Really there was as dined here. The menu looks good and the reviews too. It was recommended by our hotel near by. So we went for our first meal in Rome. Big mistake. It's not good when there is a note on the bottom that says the seafood is frozen. The lasagna was okay, Bold in flavor but I prefer a more saucier one. The fritto misto (I really should've gotten an translator) was really french fries and fried whatever battered balls they could make up. The risotto tasted as though it was seafood and they threw in some rice. The Tuscany soup was really salty and tasted much like kale soup. The Mediterranean salad was probably the best. The positive point was the meal was only 43€. read more

On my first day here in Rome on 15 Aug what you need to know a lot of restaurants are close because is a holiday this one was open so I was with a group of 20. For a big bottle of water and a pizza cost me about 10 euro's total 11 euro because are 10% tip on everything not really a lot of money So the food Was really warm food and fast the food was vers you can taste is vers and the pizza I had taste amazing when you taste the sauce of the pizza the taste is a no another was the first time I taste this flavor I need to tell you if you order 1 dish is in enough are big! also the staff really friendly later this week I eat here again read more

I came here with a large tour group and was told of the great food here. Unfortunately I am lactose intolerant and when we asked for a dairy free option I guess the staff took that as an insult. I got a plate of pasta with canned tomato sauce and a small bit of basil. When delivered I asked if there were any other options I could possibly chose from as I was supposed to be getting pasta bolognase. I was refused and told this was my only option. After tasting it I asked them to take it away and they let it sit there for the entire meal service. I would have thought they would have greater pride in their food, I am no chef but I could have whipped up something better than that in seconds and it would have tasted much better than that garbage they served. I ended up ordering a dish that would become my favorite Italian dish and something that I am still trying to replicate in my own kitchen. Spaghetti all'amatriciana. Amatrciana is Italian for sexiness on a plate. I was really trying to savor my pasta but ended up inhaling it and my dinner partner's panzerotti with ragu wasn't bad either. We were starving from our flight so we looked up the reviews and they were good. We had the lasagna and calzone. The food was ok but the service wasn't great. I know in Europe the table service is different then the States and we expected it but it seemed like our waitress just put our food on our table and forgot about us. Asked our waitress for the check 3 times and 20 minutes later she brought it over. My lasagna was good just no additional sauce only cheese and my boyfriends calzone only had a small tablespoon of sauce. It was super watery from the inside which may be from the cheese but you can tell our food was rushed so they could close down and prep for dinner service. read more

Was invited for dinner here while on vacation. It was absolutely delicious. We had 3 different types of pasta which included penne, and two raviolis. One with bacon and the other with pear which was probably my favorite I think. The tiramisu and flan was amazing as well. I would recommend just going with whatever your server recommends because they know what they're talking about. The service and food was just great. Thanks again Chef Alessio! I ate here twice as my bnb was down the street. The food and service here are both good. The food is plenty tasty, but middle-of-the-road compared to some other, similarly priced places I dined. Don't get me wrong--this is Italy and bad restaurants cannot last. I had a pizza on my first visit, and pasta and salad on my second. All was satisfactory if not particularly special. I enjoyed dining here but it isn't memorable. The service is efficient and friendly enough, and they have menu descriptions in English. read more

I'm really not sure why this place ONLY has 3 stars because it was our go to place when we stayed in this area. It was around a 7 minute walk from our hotel. The food here is so. good. EVERYTHING is literally amazing, the pizza, the pasta, the dessert mmmmmmmmm ........ The lasagna here is outstanding, all the different kinds of pizza were good, the pesto sauce SO GOOD .. There are two types of pasta that I cant remember the names of right now :( Arrabbiata (angry pasta) also really delicious, the bolognese was also very good, the dish called "amatriciana" and another one that has a similar name to this were also my faves. SO MANY CHOICES :( We tried a lot of different things from here & were never disappointed :) The servers are also very accommodating even for english speakers. The prices here are also very reasonable for the quality & quantity of food that you get. I definitely recommend !! I miss the food here so much. read more

For the month that I did study abroad in Italy, I would say I ate 50% of my dinners here, because it was better than any tourist trap in Rome and it was close to our hotel/dorm. The saffron and zucchini pasta (I always chose fusilli ) was my life source. A meal of pasta and a personal bottle of water was about 10 euro and always amazing and filling. I tried the pesto with various pastas and another cream sauce. All were amazing. The staff was always so accommodating to our huge groups and late hours looking to eat. We ate Christmas Eve dinner this evening. We left 5 of the seven meals virtually untouched. The steak was great and my husbands pasta with artichoke was great. We did notice the Americans were served a different menu. Ours was terrible. The "sea bass" was obviously lost in translation. The scampi had TWO on the entire dish. This was one of the only places we found open on Christmas Eve in the area. They were pretty busy for lunch, even on the holiday, but we were seated quickly. The staff did not speak a lot of English but our server tried her best to give us some recommendations. We ended up having antipasto, a ham and mushroom pizza, seafood pasta, and carbonara pasta. Most of the dishes were pretty good, but we didn't really enjoy the antipasto. Otherwise, it was a pretty good meal, and we ended it with some dessert and espresso. read more

Gustosando!!! found this gem while wondering aimlessly around the city. My wife and I were super tired while on the way back to our hotel after a day of exploring. it was the first night of 5 of our honeymoon trip. A little time has passed but we ate here 4 of the 5 nights. I just love this place so much. My wife and I talk about this place all the time. The food was definitely lovingly assembled and the staff most accommodating. I ate the Caprese salad every meal and have sense compared every other caprese salad with the one from here. The Saffron also a stunning dish. Please give this place a try. Not a tourist trap this is where locals go and its super reasonable to eat like a king/queen here. read more

Excellent place to stay! Very convenient location and we got a table instantly even though it looked like the restaurant was entirely full. We ordered pizza and whine which was very good and even perfect when you think about the moderate prices. The waiters/ waitresses even spoke English which is unusual for Rome in my opinion!
