Fast & easy smog check station! I drove up on a Tuesday and parked my car in the garage; they have information on what to do as soon as you get there- stop at the designated spot, turn off the car, leave the key in the ignition, and leave the DMV paperwork on the dashboard. Prices somewhat vary by car model but anything 2000 and newer is typically $39 + certification fee of around $8. They have a Yelp check in for $31.75 (plus the cert fee!) which is a great deal. We drove the car in, waited 10-15 minutes, then the inspector called us in to tell us about the status & I paid there. It's been 2 years since and time for another smog check. I pulled up in the morning with no wait. Here's what you do: put all your paperwork on the dash, leave the keys, and make sure your window is rolled down. Someone checks you in and you sign the paperwork for the work. My car was whisked off to the back where after 10 minutes, the whole process was done and my car passed. My certificate was electronically transmitted to DMV and I can now get my license plate registration renewal later this week. This place is no frills and gets it done. I came here for the first time last week to get my car smogged. Upon entering, you drive into the building. There was no cars around so I pulled all the way in. There were a two cars getting serviced. No one came up to me. No one directed me anywhere. I came out of my car and walked into the main office, where there was a gentleman on his phone while also speaking with the Hispanic lady operating the office. I stood there patiently waiting, and after 5 minutes of them having a conversation that had nothing to do with the transaction, I asked her if I needed to sign something. She stared at me rudely and said, "I'll be right with you." After some time, they were done, and I was next. She asked me if I left my keys in the car and my DMV paperwork on the dashboard. I said, "No, no one directed me to do anything." She quipped back with, "There's signs everywhere." I said, "I didn't see any signs." She said, "I promise you there are. I will bet you $100." First off, when you are in a business with a specific job where you have to interact with the public, it goes without saying that you should greet every customer and let them know you will get to them or give them instructions while they are waiting. Don't ignore them and then get an attitude when they ask for direction. Certainly making bets with customers and pushing that there are signs, is just plain inappropriate. I pointed to where my car was. She looked and came back in sheepishly indicating that I didn't see the signs because I was parked far in. Which proved my point that I didn't see any signs. I signed the rest of the paperwork and waited in the lobby. On a positive note, the Asian gentleman performing the actual smog inspection was very efficient and directed me appropriately. I have a 2013 Mercedes-Benz SLK 250. I showed my online coupon, he indicated it would be $40 even and done in 15 min. I waited and in that time went to check on my car. He said it was done and parked in the street. I paid, thanked him, and was on my way. Ultimately, great price, fast service performed, but hire someone more qualified to handle the back office job and address paying customers appropriately. I may give them another chance, but after this experience I might just pay more and take my business elsewhere where I am treated with more respect. read more

They've still got it. Monday at 2:30pm I was hoping to get lucky with a short wait time. I guess that's what everyone was hoping LOL. Had to wait to turn into their garage for about 5 min, but then everything unjammed and I pulled up inside. The very friendly woman checking in/checking out people got me processed in within 3 minutes. She let me know it would be about 45 minutes and I could wait in my car until they started working on it, or in one of the chairs along the sides, or I could take a walk around the neighborhood. They've closed the waiting room because of covid (smart move). I planned to go to Sprouts anyway, as it's a 2 block walk, so 45 min wasn't a problem. I came back 45 min later and my car had passed and was all ready to go. (I'm guessing it had been done for a bit). I got checked out quickly and grabbed my key from the technician and walked across the street where it was parked. $39 smog check + $8.25 State Certificate fee = $47.25 out the door. I would give them 3-stars but the last time I was there I was cursed at by an employee. Long story short, I got jammed in their garage because there's only one way in and one way out. Rather than let me out, the technician made me wait until another customer moved their car out of the shop. These people are fast and you can expect to be in and out in about 15 minutes or less depending on how many cars are ahead of you. There is a small waiting room inside and some chairs near the entrance. If it's your first time coming here, drive up until you see a stop sign or a black line on the floor. Don't go past that line.
