Came here for a quick lunch with a friend. I had not gone to this location in a while so when she suggested it, I instantly agreed. This location is located near UCF and I don't know how busy it tends to get when school is in, but on the day we went it was not too busy. It started to get busy when we left with the lunch rush. This location is actually big so there is ample indoor and outdoor seating. I ordered brisket, baked beans, corn and cornbread. I'll be honest, I remember the food being better but it wasn't bad. Their brisket was good and I actually really like their baked beans and cornbread. All in all, pleasant quick experience with a friendly staff. Place was well kept and clean. For one I was there for 10 plus min waiting for my food which sat on the counter and bumpers employees walked by acting like it was not there. People who came after me got their meals before me. To add to my extremely disappointed experience, the worker whom brought over my food had the same gloves on that was used to wipe down the table and was spray with chemicals. I used to love 4R but I was pretty disappointed the last couple times I went. A couple visits ago I got the burnt ends and they were incredly greasy. Most recently I went in to grab food to go. I walked up to the line where you order and I had to wait for two employees to finish their personal conversation before they acknowledged me. I told them what I wanted and they passed my paper to the cashier. I was a little confused because I was getting brisket and they did not ask how I wanted it (lean, moist, etc) so I asked if I was supposed to go to the cashier or stay with the people making my food. I got a little bit of an attitude from the employee who said to go to the cashier. I ordered sliders by the way, I haven't ordered them in a while so maybe you don't get a choice on type of brisket if you get sliders? Not sure. I paid and waited for my order to get finished (never told them how I wanted my brisket) and the cashier handed me my bag. I looked inside, no utensils, no sauce, no napkins. I asked for sauce and she grabbed a handful and dropped it into my bag like I was bothering her. I figured I was asking too much to ask for napkins so I stopped at a table and grabbed some paper towels from one of the rolls. Finally get to where i'm able to eat. I used to get the sliders all the time so I was excited! You get a variety and they're big sliders, like hefty! Boy was i disappointed when I opened my to-go box. The portion of meat was atleast half of what i've gotten in the past and for my pork slider it was maybe 1/3 of the meat it usually is. I ended up taking the top part of the slider bun off and eating them like open faced sandwiches because otherwise there would have been more bread than meat. Overall, 4Rivers is one of my favorite BBQ spots, I love the Messy Pig and the Six Shooter and all their desserts! I really hope I just went on off days and this isn't the new norm for 4R! read more

It's now my go-to for my bbq fix. Even though I've been here before I somehow forgot how great the food is! We ordered: Happy Herd -Brisket(Moist) -Pulled pork -1/2 rack of ribs -1/2 Smoked Chicken -Mac n cheese pint -Southern green beans pint -Texas cornbread -Mustard Bbq sauce Well, the Mac n cheese is not the baked home-baked kind but it's good enough. The southern green beans hit the spot! The brisket was my absolute favorite followed by the smoked chicken. The pulled pork was also good. The rib was still delicious the next day! Also, no more bake shop at this location, but there are still some sweets at the checkout counter. I ordered the street tacos with a side of collard greens. Both great! I have been a big fan of 4 Rivers for years. They are one of the only BBQ places that has a vegetarian option that isn't just sides. I wish the vegan burnt ends were more consistent though. Sometimes they are amazing but other times they are so dry. The sides are always super yummy though. I love the smokehouse corn, mac and cheese, and fried okra. The desserts are also really yummy. Visiting family in Orlando for the weekend. Upon arrival we decided to head out to Four Rivers BBQ where we had an amazing lunch. All the food was perfectly seasoned and cooked and it was served hot. I had the brisket, pulled pork, cornbread and coleslaw. Other members of my party had the brisket sandwiches with same sides. While the brisket itself is very delicious and juicy, is plainly served between two buns but nothing else to it; it is missing a cohesive element. I also tried the mac and cheese and the BBQ beans, both very tasty. The restaurant itself is clean and well kept and presented. The customer service was very good as well for being a fast-food establishment. I will definitely return to try other menu items! read more

But decided to try the Mac and cheese with the corn bread and the brisket quesadilla......umm honestly I didn't like either of them felt like my Quesadilla was a little too burned...the corn bread I felt like wasn't real cornbread and the Mac and cheese had this weird sour taste after you ate it. 4 Rivers continues to hold the spot for my favorite BBQ establishment in Orlando. The meats and especially the wide variety of side options are unbeatable, in my opinion. This is my 2nd location that I've visited and from what I can tell, they are consistent across the board. The staff was super friendly, helpful & patient as we were waiting in line ordering (it was my mom & her boyfriend's first time, so it took them a little to make decisions on what to order). The line moves quickly and the staff works very efficiently to ensure your order comes out with little to no waiting. The lean brisket is always flavorful and moist, the turkey was great as well and the sides were delicious (best baked beans I've ever had at a BBQ spot). Fries didn't need any additional salt as they were perfectly salted to begin with. Their homemade BBQ sauces are very tasty (sweet option is my fave). All prices are reasonable and they have a massive selection of desserts to choose from if you still have room left by the end of your meal. I stopped here one day for lunch and the smell of this restaurant is amazing. I would love to have just sat in there and worked on some homework. They have a drive-through, but I went inside. There's a big line at lunch, but they have menus to look at as well as the big menu board hanging up. I got the pulled pork and brisket with french fries and mac & cheese. I have a smoker at home and love to cook up some great barbecue I am here in Orlando on a business trip, but when you come to Florida, you probably don't think of barbecue first. I was excited to see a Smokehouse right down the street from my hotel and wanted to give it a try. Especially after hearing about it from others and seeing the Yelp reviews. I decided to pick up some food to take back to my room after a long day of work. This place is kind of tucked away off of University Boulevard in the middle of several fast food places so it doesn't really stand out. While they do have a drive-through, I wanted to go in and check the place out on the inside to get the full experience. 4 Rivers Smokehouse is super clean and super nice. They have a great atmosphere inside and an awesome patio on the outside as well. As soon as I walked in, it reminded me a little bit of some of the barbecue places I used to go to in Texas. The staff was super friendly and very patient as I looked over the menu to place my order.. I went with their 2X2 special which is where you get to pick two different meats and two different classic sides. I decided on the burnt ends and Texas sausage for my meats and then the barbecue beans and macaroni and cheese for my sides. When I got back to my room, I could not wait to dive in...it all smelled so good! When I opened everything up, I was a bit disappointed at first because it did not appear to be burnt ends with my sausage. It looked more like pulled meat instead of what I am used to seeing when ordering burnt ends. Either way, the food was absolutely delicious. This is some seriously great barbecue. Besides not getting burnt ends, and the barbecue beans being way too sweet for me the food was great. Good thing I got their hot barbecue sauce and it kicked them beans up just right. The macaroni and cheese was perfect and super creamy and super cheesy and just what I wanted. The Texas sausage was incredible!
