My husband and I stopped in for lunch after 12 noon on a Friday. It was busy, but not too bad. We got our food, then we picked a place at one of their long tables, of which there are two. There are also several booths and other seating inside. Outside, there are picnic tables under the roof of the establishment, along with a place to fill your fountain drinks and condiments, and the restrooms are there. ( Inside, near the fountain drinks are some containers for food, along with bags, if you find that you want to bring home some of your meal!) Our food was tasty, and we were content with the amount of food that we received. Husband had the brisket, fries, baked beans, and cornbread. I had the tacos, smokehouse corn, and green beans. The staff was friendly. A manager and another employee stopped by the table to check on how we were doing.

Poor customer service. Never was asked how my meal was and did not address my pricing concerns.

Tried 4 Rivers mainly because it's close to home, and overall it was just... okay. Not terrible, but not something I'd go out of my way for again. The highlight for me was definitely the baked beans. They were easily my favorite item, flavorful, comforting, and honestly the standout of the whole order. I'd get those again without hesitation. Unfortunately, the ribs my partner ordered were really dry and disappointing, especially for a BBQ spot that's known for its meat. That was a letdown and kind of overshadowed the rest of the meal. For BBQ, that's a pretty big miss. Overall, it wasn't horrible, but it also didn't impress us enough to make it a repeat takeout spot. Convenient if you're nearby and craving something quick, but we probably won't be going out of our way to try it again.

We love 4 Rivers and this time we visited their drive through at this location. It is convenient especially after a long day at work. I ordered a 2 by 2 which is two meats and two sides I decided to just have the sausage, and my husband had turkey (he said the turkey was dry) and sausage. To accompany that we had coleslaw, collard greens and green beans. Everything came out hot (survived the 20 min commute home) and well portioned. I enjoyed the sides. Their collard greens are never bitter and they come with bits of meat. The slaw is my husband's favorite, and we both enjoy the green beans. Overall 4 rivers is the place to go for quick bbq their sauces are great as well. The drive through service was attentive and friendly. The restaurant has a family friendly vibe and although I did the drive through one can always tell the place is clean and comfortable. Ample parking space, an outdoor seating area and plenty of seating in their main dining area. We'll be back, just work on the turkey, it wasn't tender this time around.

This is the best 4Rivers location in my opinion. The food is consistently good, service is great, and there's plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. I appreciate that there's a handwashing station aside from the bathrooms, because BBQ gets messy! Portions are pretty generous and we always have enough to take home. The collards and the mac and cheese here are pretty solid sides. I would avoid the green beans since they look like they just come out of a can. The BBQ itself is pretty tasty and a general crowd pleaser. I know everyone has pretty strong opinions on BBQ, but 4Rivers is usually a safe bet for me if I'm coming in with a large group of folks who are just hungry and looking for good food. I'm sure there's always a better BBQ restaurant somewhere, but you can't deny that 4Rivers is a solid place. 4Rivers is also one of the few places that offers a vegetarian option for BBQ, which is always a plus in my books.

Talk about good food and even better customer service. This was my first time visiting this 4 Rivers Smokehouse location, and the customer service lived up to the trophy case full of awards they proudly display -- truly impressive! Everyone was friendly, helpful, and energetic, making my visit even better. I've always loved coming to 4 Rivers because the food never disappoints. Everything is packed with flavor -- the burnt ends, cornbread, ribs, chicken -- all absolutely delicious.

I attended a business function and they had the event catered by 4 Rivers. Now, full disclosure, I have been to the 4 Rivers location on University Boulevard before and while I found it okay, I did not think of that location as anything particularly impressive. For this event, they brought in pulled pork, pulled chicken, macaroni and cheese, green beans, and bacon wrapped jalapeño peppers. I have to say that overall, I have to say that I found it pretty good and superior to the food that I had at their east Colonial location. I really cannot comment on the service nor the ambiance as this was a catered event, but, as I said, I was happy with the food. Overall, this particular 4 Rivers delivered in terms of catering this particular event. I will give this particular 4 Rivers location four stars.

Cute 4 Rivers, and the original location! Food came out quickly and was a good price. Burnt ends were not fatty which was good, but sandwich could be a little messy. Sandwich had a lot of meat which was good though. The pulled chicken and bread pudding were really good too. They have lots of different BBQ sauces to try too. There were plenty of seating and plenty of parking, and staff were friendly and helpful. Very good overall!

Taste: 4/5 Value: 5/5 Ambiance: 4/5 Pretty good barbecue at a more than reasonable price. I appreciate all the protein options, not a lot of BBQ places give you the chance to try a vegan meal. Most of our food was ready by the time we got to the register, but the items that took a little longer quickly met us at our table after we were seated. All the staff we spoke with were very friendly and inviting. Overall good experience.

Fantastic all around. Easy ordering and cozy atmosphere meets delicious food and vibes. Highly recommend their signature items and burnt ends. The service was very welcoming and relaxed.

Location was packed at lunch on a Friday! I waited in a short line to be served and waited to check out. The tables were clean and the condiments were stocked. I ordered the 1x2 pulled pork with corn and Mac and cheese. I enjoyed the meat didn't have too much fat in it and love the taste of the hot BBQ, it's the perfect level of mild spice. The corn and Mac and cheese sides were delicious. Glad I stopped here and would recommend it to others!

Not bad... but not great! I feel like I need to go back and possibly try something different! I had the brisket and mac & cheese -- brisket was pretty dry and didn't have much flavor to it. I did like the texture though! Mac & cheese was a little more watery than I would prefer for my BBQ and also didn't have much flavor. I will be coming back, but I'm hoping everything tastes better the second time around.

The mac and cheese also left me wanting more it just wasn't as rich as I hoped. That said, their collard greens were outstanding truly the star of the show. And the butter gooey cake? That was a sweet win. I also tried their Frisco fries, and they were decent, but I wouldn't rush back just for those. The ambience is really laid-back. It's like any regular barbecue place. I saw at least 3 to 4 tables of people sitting down and enjoying their barbecue and they seem to have a steady stream of traffic. The cashier who is also getting our food order together seemed really nice. She had a great personality. I honestly don't feel the need to go back and visit again. Brunch Review 2026!…read more It's a Saturday in late April 2026 and the Orlando Magic are taking on the #1 rated Detroit Pistons! My brother and I deliberate days before on meeting up and with little hesitation, we opted for the Ravenous Pig! Securing a table reservation we instead opted to sit on the pub side where the TVs are. Soon after sitting down, we were greeted by Christina who was our server for the afternoon! Now this is Brunch Mode at the Ravenous Pig with a brunch style menu and beautiful rays on Sunshine which can feel quite different if you're used to having meals or drinks here for dinner where it can be quite busier and a different vibe! Today's visit was comfortable in the pub, lite in the dining room floor and nearly full outside in the beer garden. I settled in with the current version of the Gin and Jam! It tends to change as products become available with the underlying truth being a lite and refreshing cocktail to start with. This version is well done overall! Food wise we started with the Croquettes which had a sausage in them which brought good flavor paired with the crunchy exterior and white sauce on the plate resulted in an appetizing dish. Continuing on, the Sparkling Tea on menu is fantastic! As a side beverage or even mocktail form, it's a great Bev. We went with that and with the Magic game about to start, I went with the IT GOES TO ELEVEN cocktail! Boozy, Bright and Veracious! With these drinks in hand, we decided to move forward with more food and after consulting with Christina, we went with the Huckleberry pancake and the miso butter ribs. Without a doubt, the Huckleberry pancake was the standout star of the two dishes! A light pancake with great flavor and depth that doesn't fill you up but is a great sweeter dish that I can see Incorporated with a more savory brunch item like bacon and eggs as an example. Overall a great time for brunch! Shout out to Brian, Costa (the GOAT) and Scott for keeping it real and just being great individuals overall!

The snapper collar tacos were the star of the show. Easily enough to share between two people, with fresh fish and really good homemade corn tortillas. The fish of the day was also excellent and the fresh ciabatta with garlic butter was hard to stop eating. The cauliflower appetizer missed the mark a bit for me, the pieces were a little too big and came out slightly undercooked. The chicken salad was just alright, nothing bad but nothing memorable either. Parking can be a little tough in the area, but the complimentary valet makes it much easier. I love that they have a quicker option out back with the beer garden, you can't go wrong!

Today, though, I noticed them selling Japanese Wagyu as: Sake Infused Dry Aged A9 Kobe Strip. This is a very scammy way of selling a product. First, meat is graded broadly on three scales - USDA (choice, prime), BMS (beef marbling scale - common in Aus), and the Japanese grading scale. (A1-A5, with most high end steaks being A4 or the gold standard, A5). https://meatnbone.com/blogs/the-clever-cleaver/meat-beef-grading-system-understanding A9 doesn't exist. A BMS 9 could be an A5. But this is mislabeled. They have also used the term A11 in their instagram account. Maybe they are confusing BMS for A-scale, or maybe they are intentionally trying to make their product seem better than competitors. Furthermore, not all Japanese Wagyu is Kobe beef. Kobe beef refers to Tajima cattle raised in Hyogo Japan. The export of this beef is highly regulated to only certain restaurants and purveyors, who will display a seal and certificate certifying the origin of the beef. It is rare, expensive, and most importantly, Bush Brothers (Local Butcher's wholesale purveyor) is not certified to sell, nor do they use in any way, the term Kobe Beef. So it is incredibly likely that this product is mislabeled. This isn't illegal (Kobe beef doesn't have a TM in the US), but it is disingenuous. https://www.kobe-niku.jp/en/contents/certification/index.html https://instagram.com/bushbros Next, "sake infused"is incredibly confusing. Is it referring to the myth that Kobe cattle are massaged with sake? Is it referred to the use of koji (fermented cooked rice) which is often used as an aging accelerant? Or did they really take Japanese Wagyu and infuse (inject, soak?) with sake? And why on earth would you do that!? It would be like making sangria with a bottle of DRC. This product is likely a A5 strip loin (which Bush Bros. does carry) that has been aged. Market price would be somewhere around $175-185/lb. (An unaged cut would be around $150/lb.) When I asked for more information on the most expensive cut of meat in their shop, I was treated with disdain and a dismissive attitude. Neither member of the staff could answer my questions other than to say "It's the highest grade of Kobe beef." To charge $215 dollars for a grade that doesn't exist, for a steak that isn't from Kobe, with an aging method that seems dubious at best, is disingenuous and plays on a lack of consumer knowledge. If The Local Butcher themselves don't know the differences here, they shouldn't sell this product. If they do, they should be ashamed of themselves.
