Came on a Friday for happy hour. Quite disappointed as it wasn't the kind of happy hour you would expect. Got the Reuben egg rolls with tots for HH and it was one egg roll cut in half with some tots --$6 The wings were good, but 4 wings for $6 (HH price) Prices are decent but the portions are very small! read more

After just having been in Dublin, I was thrilled to see an excellent selection of Irish beers on tap! This is the only Irish Pub in the area that I've seen that carries more than the obligatory Guinness on tap. Being here was very nostalgic; from the Celtic designs to see a picture of the post office in Dublin on the wall (read up on your history or listen to U2, lol.) We were here on trivia night and had so much fun. One of the owners, Chris, introduced himself and chatted a bit with our table. Everyone was very friendly. Tacos are at a discounted rate on Tuesdays, and the fish tacos are delicious, perfectly battered, fried, and crispy. They are topped with a creamy slaw to offset the crispiness of the fish as well as pickled red onions, perfect! Their menu, of course, has a good variety of Irish foods. (I would love to see a Boxty, hint hint.) They have different events on different nights. This is our new go-to for trivia on Tuesdays. Go check out the other events on Facebook. The food at 40 Thieves is really good and the ambiance is definitely fun. However, we went on a night where there was live music and it was super loud inside. We ordered espresso martinis and it was coffee and liquor and nothing else, which was bitter. Added a shot of baileys and we were good. Service was very good. I would go back on a night without live music. read more

Been wanting to try this place for a while now since it opened. Cute place, nice decor and wasn't crowded. I was a little after lunch, but the bar had some people there. They say it gets busy at night so I'm going to go back one night and get one of the Irish cottage pies. I had the Reuben and my friend had the Fish and Chips and they were both really good. The bartender helped us and was very nice and friendly. Probably a good place to go and watch a football game or even a popular soccer match. read more

This is restaurant opened this month in the Livingston Marketplace located in Lutz. The initial length of wait after being seated took a while and other servers passed by our table without acknowledging if we have been waited on or not. However, the training server (Chandler) observed us not being waited on and quickly apologized for the wait. He took our order and provided superior service during the remainder of time seated. The food was excellent with a smaller menu selection but enough favorites to satisfy any hunger pains. We really enjoyed the Brussel sprouts and fish & chips were very tasty. The atmosphere and other patrons were friendly during our dining experience. We didn't have an opportunity to see any entertainment tonight but will return on a future visit to hear the various music played by the bands. First Visit to a relatively new establishment. Admittedly there was a staffing turmoil this night, police were called, but they insisted on staying open. It was a disaster. 2 hours to get food, food was cold and burger was severely undercooked to the dangerous point. It would have been wise to close for a day until the staffing was corrected. I was a very sad display that night, and mentally not sure we can get over it. read more

I met a friend here for lunch right when they first opened and it definitely has the opportunity to be an awesome spot. They started with a limited menu for the opening which is understandable and we tried one of mostly everything. We got the Irish stew, the shepherds pie, chicken tenders, the Brussels sprouts, and Killian's as well. The Irish stew was the favorite but everything was tasty. I am excited to see what they add when it's a full menu. The service had a few kinks which is to be expected at a new place so hopefully that gets worked out as well. Overall looks like a great pub to have a meal or grab a beer at their bar which definitely had that Irish pub feel. I will definitely be back when they have their full menu! Side note I saw on Facebook where they're having some events (muscles and mimosas is the one I saw) and I think that's a great idea! read more

Good place to drop in and get a beer. The menu is small and today not all of it was available. Also it's almost all fried. Not a golden brown a bit over cooked. Great little pub with a good sized bar, and comfortable niches for an intimate date, and bigger ones too for sharing good times with a larger group of friends. They had a limited menu when we went but had the basic Irish Pub fare you'd expect (fish & chips, Irish stew, cottage pie....) and the food was excellent. Loved the laid back vibe here. Servers were friendly and helpful. Opened just in time for St Patrick's Day. Judging by the crowd today, it's going to be a busy neighborhood hangout. We'll be back! read more

Let me say, I Love Lutz (Lootz... please) but there hasn't been much happening in Lutz for a long, long time ! 40 Thieves is a breath of fresh air here in our little town. We now can enjoy our trips to our favorite watering hole & eatery. We have met some of our Lutz neighbors, that are extremely enjoyable people. And we're all out for the same reasons, good friendships over good food and good drinks, and 40 Thieves is a great place to do just that. Servers are very friendly and efficient, and the Bar keepers are thee BEST. It's pub food but delicious and well prepared. Give it a try, you wont be disappointed ! They are breaking federal law while here on a green card by not paying their employees for time worked countless times and for weeks on end, will not address their employees at all or answer the phone but expect people to work for free. Do not go here. You would be supporting a disgrace to all business owners and people that have to work to pay their bills. This pub has no food, no liquor and the liquor you are drinking is well liquor and being sold as premium in premium bottles to make money. These people are con men. read more

Walked in at 9pm alone. I asked if I seat myself and they said yes. After 10 minutes no one greeted me at the table or even noticed I sat down. The seats are all worn which I'm guessing is supposed to be ambiance but it wasn't appealing. I didn't even get to order food since I walked out after 10 minutes of not being acknowledged. Went opening weekend. Place is beautiful, service was great and they had a limited menu which is understandable. I ordered Sheppards Pie which was $18 and pretty small for the size. It was somewhat cold and lean on veggies. Husband got the chicken tenders, which were standard pricing and taste. Overall bill was $80 for 2 wines, 2 Single crowns, 2 irish car bombs and meals mentioned above. A little pricey for portion provided. This is newly opened and not really ready for prime time, yet. Friendly servers. Food was good. Since there were problems I will save my comments after another try. Front of house doesn't seem to know what's going on with back of house, and vice-versa. Running out of a main food appetizer on a Saturday afternoon is not good. They need to learn how to do a good/great pour with Guinness and the Black & Tan. All 4 of our pints were messed up. That is of utmost importance with an Irish Bar! Been here twice. It was very crowded both times, but it is a nice Irish pub. Moderate priced food and drinks and mostly friendly staff. Our first visit was a 5 star as we sat at the bar, and the bartenders/appetizers were great. Second visit on this past Friday was not as good. We waited about 30 minutes for a table- which was ok and expected. Our waitress was not very good. 2 of us ordered drinks and 2 ordered waters but she brought only 1, and seemed irritated when we said it was 2 waters(they already had beers from the bar, paid separately). We ordered our food, but saw multiple tables seated after us get their food before us and finish eating (not sure if our waitress waited awhile to put our order in the system). Hubby ordered fish n chips. They were so overfried they were mostly inedible. I took a bite to verify, and would have sent them back - they were worse than eating a hard kettle chip, and the fish way too rubbery. He said nothing since we waited such a long time for our food, and he did not want to wait another 20-30 minutes for a refire. He ended up spitting out most of the fish on his plate due to it being hard and rubbery and unable to be chewed. When she cleared his plate full of the mess, she said nothing. She also did not ask how the food was. My chicken tenders were ok. My son's and girlfriend's' meals were just ok (chicken sandwich and reuben) but all of our fries were very oversalted. I could not eat mine. Our waitress was constantly running around like she wasn't sure of what she was doing. Her tables were not near each other, which made it harder to find her. We tried to catch her a few times to get to-go containers, and the check, but that took about 20 more minutes. We waited so long that my son ended up finishing the food he was going to take home. Finally she brought 2 small black square containers, for my 4 uneaten tenders and whole plate of fries and my son's (my plate was clearly still full, having eaten only 1 tender). Thankfully my son did not need his, as my whole plate of food required a bigger box that never came.‍ I know it was busy, but they never should have sent that fish out of the kitchen. It was very dark brown and visually was overcooked. They need to be careful with salting the fries. We will return, but maybe will give them some more time to settle in, and maybe just for drinks-no food. The food prices are a couple of dollars more per entree than other nearby places, but we expected that. The quality of food preparation, and inattentive service on our second visit was disappointing. We tipped her because we knew it was busy, but it was defnitely not our typical tippable experience. The entertainment was great both visits. ***Ironically, the owner (presumably, in a suit) had come by about 10 minutes after we ordered asking if we were waiting long for our food, and we said no. Ordered the egg-rolls they were 5/5 that's where the good ends. The cottage pie looked great, but the lack of flavor I could not over come,we put hot sauce salt and pepper and still could over come the lack of flavor.they ended up comping it.i appreciate it. The service was extremely slow. There was only 2 tables with 5 total people and food took about half hour. I will not go back. If this is the quality of food I doubt they make it. read more
