We had the smoked salmon bruschetta to start, no picture because it was too yummy to remember beforehand My husband had the Cajun chicken and shrimp pasta, extra spicy and it was very good and very flavorful. However, the standout was the skirt steak chimichurri with green beans and jalapeño mac and cheese the steak was so tender, the chimichurri was so fresh and a perfect match for the steak. We were really disappointed with our experience at Grillsmith tonight. The most frustrating part is that when I originally called to make our reservation, I specifically asked for 5:30 PM. I was told they were too busy at that time and that we would need to come earlier if we wanted a reservation. Because of that, I rearranged our evening and our plans to make sure we could get there earlier and accommodate the restaurant's schedule. We arrived around 5:00 PM for our 5:15 PM reservation, so we completely understood that we were early and were prepared to wait until 5:15. What was disappointing was the attitude we received when we arrived. We weren't asking to be seated early--we simply would have been happy to be seated if a table was available so we could get our three kids settled and ready to eat. Instead, we were made to feel like arriving early was an inconvenience. At 5:15, we were ready to be seated and there were several open tables. We were told that an 8-top had just left and they needed to clean the table and floor. We understood that, but then we were left waiting without any updates while we watched other guests who arrived after us get seated. By 5:25 we had been there for 25 minutes total. With three hungry children, we decided we'd waited long enough and left to find somewhere else to eat. What bothered us most wasn't simply the wait. It was the combination of the attitude when we arrived, the lack of communication afterward, and feeling like we were being ignored while other guests were seated. The most irritating part was that we had specifically rearranged our evening because we were told 5:30 was too busy, only to arrive early as requested and then feel like our time wasn't valued. When we finally said we were going to leave, we were simply told, "Okay, have a great day," without an apology or any attempt to address the situation. We understand that restaurants get busy, that tables need to be cleaned, and that arriving early doesn't guarantee an early seating. We were not expecting special treatment. We simply expected basic courtesy, communication, and for our reservation to be honored within a reasonable amount of time. Unfortunately, we left feeling very unwelcome and disappointed, and ended up taking our family to the living room for dinner and had a great experience there. After going out of our way to accommodate their schedule, it was frustrating to feel like our time wasn't considered valuable as well. read more

Chicken croquettes were crispy outside, juicy inside, with a really creamy, flavorful sauce. Bruschetta was perfectly toasted and buttery, literally melts in your mouth. The crab bisque was super rich and creamy, so good. The Cobb salad is huge, definitely shareable. We tried a few mains too. The Cajun shrimp & chicken pasta had a nice kick, and the carbonara was pure comfort food. The shrimp and salmon dish is a great lighter option. Drinks were really good. Jack Berry Bramble if you like something sweet, and the Spring Bouquet was super refreshing. Desserts were amazing. The chocolate one melts in your mouth. Our server Hailey was incredible. Very attentive, knowledgeable, and great at recommending drinks based on your taste. Everything she suggested was spot on. The whole place feels vibrant and welcoming. Usually my friend will drop a dime to staff to let them know I am an Elite Yelper because the service and food is always better. However, yesterday she didn't do that and the service and food were on point! The manager (I forgot his name) came by to check on us. I noticed him checking in with other tables as well. This was certainly a solid 4.5 stars for me! My family and I came here on a Sunday around opening (11am) and were seated promptly. We had a party of 5 and our waitress was quick to get us drinks. I didn't feel like she rushed us or anything to put our food order in. I had their steak and eggs for my meals! I thoroughly enjoyed it! The sauce on the steak was very flavorful. No complaints on the eggs. And the tater tots were nice and crispy, just how I like them! Only complaint was the women's bathroom. Complete Let Down I passed by this restaurant every day and on Saturday 2/14/2026, I decided to give it try. Since I was dining alone, I thought it would be appropriate to sit at the bar. Service at the bar was below expectations. When I first sat down at the bar, I was quickly greeted and served by bar tender and that was the end of that. There were two bar tenders working and they were both non attentive to my needs, but very engaged and conversational with certain guests sitting at the bar. I ordered a couple of Bud Light bottled beers and the beers were not very cold. For my appetizer, I also ordered the Spicy Thai Shrimp (Flash-fried shrimp, sriracha aioli, sesame Thai dipping sauce). Good presentation. There were 10 - 12 medium sized plump shrimp with just the right amount of sriracha aioli. The shrimps were ok because the breading kept falling off the shrimps resulting in a loss of the desired crunch I was looking for. The shrimps lacked the "spiciness" as stated in the name of the dish. There was nothing spicy about this dish. The order came out about 10 minutes after ordering, but not once did any of the bar tenders stop and ask, "how is the Spicy Thai Shrimp", although they continued to pass in front of me throughout the night. Every time I wanted another beer, I had to flag the bar tender down. Again, non-attentive. I really wanted to try the wings as a second appetizer and the Aged Rib Eye for my entrée, but due to the poor service at the bar, I decided to close my tab and the restaurant. I grabbed a seat at the bar on the hostess's recommendation and I'm glad I did. Zoe the bartender and Tyler the bar back were awesome. Super friendly, funny and easy to talk to. They definitely made the night better. I ordered the 16oz ribeye cooked medium with sautéed spinach and a side of jalapeño mac and cheese. The steak was flavorful and cooked well. I've had better ribeyes, but this one still held its own. The spinach was fine. The jalapeño mac and cheese was very good, mild kick with sharp cheese and it paired perfectly with the steak. For drinks, I went with a smoked old fashioned, liked it so much I ordered a second. Steak was $48, jalapeño mac and cheese was a small upcharge and both old fashioneds totaled $27. I'd definitely come back. A few things I want to try next time include the Filet Tip Egg Rolls, Port Wine Filet Mignon, Cajun Chicken Pasta, Pasta Carbonara, Grillsmith Burger, Au Gratin Potatoes, Yukon Gold Mash and the Bananas Foster Sundae. Was visiting from out of town and used yelp to find a restaurant for dinner. We came across the GrillSmith. My husband and I walked in around 5 o'clock and were seated immediately. We were not happy with the table and the hostess, graciously moved us into a different area. The atmosphere was warm and inviting. It was happy hour. We ordered two beverages and chicken wings that were also on the happy hour menu. The wings were cooked to perfection and tasted amazing. For dinner I ordered the southwest salad with grilled chicken. The chicken was juicy and served warm of salad with fresh and delicious. My husband ordered the half rack ribs with mashed potato. The menu stated that the ribs were spicy however, they were sweet, meaty and fell off the bone. The meal was also served with warm and tasty breadsticks. We thought that we had dinner reservations for Cooper's Hawk for five people. It turns out they booked it for a different location so we went to the Grillsmith instead. Our experience at the Grillsmith is always good and this one was especially wonderful given that it was a family birthday being celebrated. The food is less than desirable. In my order, I personally had a blue cheese wedge I think they forgot the blue cheese. Hardly any dressing and just a couple crumbles of blue cheese. I enjoyed the meatloaf with marsala sauce, mashed potatoes, and sautéed spinach--comfort food elevated to perfection. My date had the flat iron steak with the same sides, and it was cooked exactly as ordered. Both entrées were excellent. We started with the spicy shrimp appetizer, which was a real treat and something I'd strongly recommend to anyone visiting. Another nice surprise was the seating. I use to eat at Grillsmith a lot, but the one on Dale Mabry (Tampa) location. I was so underwhelmed coming to this location. Our waitress seemed burned out. Dropped off our Appetizer (pretzels and cheese) she realized she forgot the plates and said she would come back. After waiting for a while, it seemed like she forgot got, so I went and found another server to help me find plates. She made it back and our waitress seemed confused when she showed up a few minutes after that finally with plates. Must of been 10 minutes before she showed back up. You know how melted cheese starts to look when it's getting cold? Yeahhhh not cool. Then the meal seemed so small. I think my item was more of the higher price things and they gave me the smallest piece of chicken. It was humorous, and the table had some funny jokes on it. During my most recent visit, our server, Ryan, provided the worst service I have ever experienced at Grillsmith. He was slow to reorder our cocktails, and only brought us breadsticks after we requested them. He seemed distracted and unsure of himself, which made the experience less enjoyable. Despite the poor service, the food was still delicious. The cooks at Grillsmith really know how to prepare tasty meals. I particularly enjoyed the chicken piccata, which was cooked to perfection. The key lime pie was also incredibly delicious. However, my all-time favorite item on the menu is the Napa Valley salad with blue cheese crumbles on the side. The problem is not with the food but with the terrible service. Please bring back the parmesan crackers that went with the breadsticks! read more

Hands down my favorite restaurant in Wesley Chapel. Always good service, my food comes out in a timely fashion and everything is always delicious and fresh. I can be a picky eater but their menu is pretty extensive and diverse. They also serve yummy drinks and will periodically do special menus ro try out new dishes/drinks. They offer an all-day happy hour on Wednesdays, and that is definitely one of my love languages. They also have amazing appetizers, the filet tip egg rolls, voodoo shrimp, crab cakes just to name a few. My my my, so good. As well as their steaks, always cooked to perfection. My favorite is the grouper tacos with the herb parmesan fries! They have a rewards program which is nice, you can earn some free eats. They even offer a kids menu that is beyond budget friendly.
