HIGHLY impressed with this new addition to Land O Lakes / Bexley! Very cool ambiance! We started out with cocktails & their complimentary popcorn which was very tasty & fresh. I had the #31 cocktail which was vodka, blackberry, basil, lime & agave. Delicious! Next, we enjoyed a cup of the conch chowder, full of conch, potatoes, and vegetables & just the right amount of spice. It was a very healthy portion! We also split an order of crab hushpuppies with lots of crab in them. The cheese steak French dip was outstanding! Can't wait to go back just to get this again! Place was great, service was great, great atmosphere and design and attention to detail. Menu was pretty diverse and had an overall cool vibe to the place. Drinks were made well, the deviled eggs and pork belly were interesting apps and were great. Cheese burger and the grilled cheese certainly had the marks of higher culinary skills. Overall, I didn't love my experience here. Wish I could give a half star for a 3.5. It was opening day, so I'd love to give them some grace. We love their sister restaurant, Bella Brava. We go out to eat for excellent experiences and flavors. I say, "life's too short to eat mediocre food." This new restaurant is beautiful inside, so 5 stars for initial ambiance. Service: 5 star for our server. She was on point and we had another, maybe host, stop by to ask about the food. They recommended solid entrees Food: 3.5 stars - they started us off with a Cajun popcorn. The flavor was good, but the popcorn was a bit stale. We were very hungry so we had two servings. Both were not quite fresh I found the appetizers to rival overpriced bar food. I was hoping for more of a "gastropub" flair. We got cheese, curds, and pork belly. Pork belly was $17, which we would have gladly paid if it was excellent flavor. And while they weren't bad, there was nothing special about either. For the price point, I was hoping for "more" in terms of flavor For entrees, I got the chicken schnitzel and my husband got the Barria grilled cheese. It's hard to find a decent Barria sauce and I thought this one delivered. My schnitzel had great flavor, but required extra mushroom sauce. The chicken also wasn't pounded flat, as is typical in this style. It was well fried and juicy. Kale slaw was a bit dry. I hate it when my salads are dripping in dressing, but this side had a number of pieces of kale with no dressing at all, just a dry kale leaf. I did enjoy the dill cucumber Overall experience: 3 - we were headed to Bella Brava for my birthday and saw that Stillwater's was open. I understand the brand gives free entrée on your birthday. What we didn't realize, was that it had to be your actual birthday. I was about 6 hours too early. But with a new baby, it was the only time we could really celebrate as a family. The manager wouldn't honor the birthday deal (which, again, I do understand is company policy). He wasn't the most friendly or empathetic when explaining the policy. He offered to buy a cocktail for us instead, but never did. We weren't looking for something free, but the overall experience and context, on our first time at the restaurant left a bad taste. You can only make a first impression once. Overall, it felt like they're keeping the same prices as the beach Dr. restaurant in St Pete. Prices are expected to be high on beach drive because of the real estate. We'd be happy to pay higher prices for excellent food or an amazing experience. Neither of which we received on this trip. We had a Lunch meeting and this was our first time in this restaurant. We were pleaser greater by the host and seated in a table that fit our party. The music was set at a tolerable volume that we could communicate clearly. The restaurant had a clean sleek industrial type decor making it a perfect choice for a business Lunch. They have a wide variety on their menu. I chose a fried chicken salad that was phenomenal. Others in my group chose the Wagyu burger and the Greek salad.. everyone loved their choices. My chicken was crisp on the outside and juicy on the inside. Loved the dressing. OUt server was fantastic. She never let our drinks go dry... and had a friendly smile throughout. We will be back! I have to admit, I was pleasantly surprised at how good this place was. Looking at some of the pics and reviews. I expected it to be good, but it exceeded my expectations. Our waitress was very friendly and super knowledgeable. Answered all of our questions and even gave us some suggestions and favorites. It has a nice vibe inside; if you wanna sit at the bar, if you want a table, or if you want a more private booth, they're all available... not surprisingly all the outside seating was available lol !! it was 93° today Now to the food, we started with F. G. T. Stack along with the chicken chorizo sausage for appetizers. They make all of their sausages in house as well as all of their sauces. The sausage was delicious and the stack was incredible. Fried green tomato with a delicious pimento cheese, crispy bacon and a smoked tomato jam to give it a little sweetness. Two absolute winners. So many other things on the menu I still want to try. The appetizers were a good size so we ended up splitting the Birria grilled cheese. What a sandwich! It is made on sourdough and comes with a side of the birria jus for dipping. We left stuffed and happy and still want to try so many other things. I love it when a place you have some expectations of still exceeds what you were expecting! Even the fries were really good. I visited Stillwaters for the first time with a party of 6 for brunch. I had a cold brew and the breakfast sandwich. Nothing fancy about the cold brew. I added some cream and sugar for a little extra flavoring. The popcorn they brought out was a fun surprise. Service was quick; we got our food soon after we put in our order. I really loved the breakfast smash-wich. The biscuit was buttery, the sausage patty and cheese sauce was flavorful. It was messy and fell apart, but I'd recommend it. It came with a side of hashbrown casserole which was also delicious. My party tried the gooey butter cake and GF brownie, both were good! Looking forward to my next visit to try more. read more

This location just opened up in the Bexley Hub - we went with our family and my friend's family, we had 2 servers who were attentive. They are still working out the opening kinks, but overall the food was very good and the servers were very helpful. We ordered the Brussels sprouts and deviled eggs as appetizers, which were phenomenal! For brunch we had the sausage sampler, the bama chicken sandwich, grilled cheese, and chicken & waffles. We recently visited the newly opened Stillwaters Tavern at Bexley, and while it's clear they're still working through some opening-week growing pains, there were definitely some positives. Our server was fantastic--friendly, attentive, and eager to make sure we had a great experience. I wasn't quite sure why she was responsible for such a large section, but it was obvious the restaurant is still in the process of staffing up. To their credit, managers were constantly on the floor helping run food, check on tables, and support the team during a very busy service. We started with the cheese curds and pretzel sticks. Both were just okay. What surprised us most was learning that neither item is made in-house, which felt a bit disappointing for a restaurant that promotes itself as a scratch kitchen. The Nashville Chicken Sandwich was the highlight of the meal. It was indulgent, flavorful, and absolutely loaded with pimento cheese. If you're looking for something over-the-top and satisfying, this is the item to order. Unfortunately, the Chicken Schnitzel was a major letdown. While the portion size was generous, the chicken wasn't pounded thin as schnitzel traditionally is. Instead, it felt more like a fried chicken breast topped with sauce. It left us wondering why it was marketed as schnitzel at all. Another disappointment was the bourbon selection. The restaurant prominently displays framed artwork featuring bottles like Blanton's, Old Fitzgerald, and other sought-after bourbons, creating the expectation that those brands might be available. However, none of them were on the menu. It felt a bit misleading and left us questioning whether the artwork was simply decorative rather than reflective of the actual bourbon program. Overall, there are some promising signs here, particularly with the service team and management's hands-on approach. The Nashville Chicken Sandwich is worth ordering, but several menu items and the beverage program didn't quite live up to expectations. Given that it's opening week, we'll likely give them another try down the road and see how things evolve. read more

Loved this restaurant! Just what we've been waiting for! Our server Duke delighted us both with his attention to detail and efficiency, and we were BLOWN away at all the wonderful tastes. Food was 10 out of 10 and Duke was spot on with his recommendations. The whole vibe at this place is really awesome. Highly recommend the blackened fish of the day, the Greek Salad and the pork belly. The rice with the fish was to die for and don't even let me start on the cocktails. We had both the 31 and 711 and they were so unique and fresh. As a matter of fact, fresh doesn't even begin to describe these dishes and cocktails. Stillwater's is our new date night spot! read more

Oh my goodness! I am in LOVE with this new restaurant! Or new to me I guess! Had the most delicious brunch Saturday! We all ordered different things and everyone rated it 10/10 stars!
