Morning coffee and an hour of relaxing with the internet on a Saturday morning, I enjoyed my time here. 403 Broad has Starbucks coffee and a bunch of baked goods behind the glass. I had a short latte and a pistachio muffin for breakfast, sitting in the back at a spot that had some power nearby. More than just coffee, there is wine and beer available here and I imagine they have an extensive lunch and dinner menu. A neat little stop. A nice cozy little coffee house that serves Starbucks. I was surprised as I walked in to this quint little shop to see Starbucks merchandizing but that's what you get when you enter. The coffee is not as good as Starbucks locations but how can it be with out the water. The converted house is eclectic with nice sitting areas to relax and read or play a game. overall it is an ok experience with run of the mill drinks. read more

403 Broad street is located in the old historic Emerson House which is part of hotel Fauchere. It's a really cute cozy trendy place which offers indoor and outdoor seating. I have to say that this is really an interesting place. They offer breakfast, lunch, and dinner. They offer a full bar and a good selection of different types of beer. They have homemade unique pizzas, fresh pasta, plus more. If you are coming here for dinner. I would definitely make reservations. It was a pretty busy night for them but their service was great. We ordered their Swiss Chard pizza which was OK a bit bland for me. Their Up in smoke pizza was perfectly named. If you are a person who really like strong smokey flavors this would be perfect for you. Their pasta's were very nice. I found that their food was somewhat under seasoned, but it only needed a bit more salt and pepper. Overall we all had a really nice dinner. read more

403 Broad is a lovely little place perfect for a cup of coffee, boozy brunch, or an intimate dinner. The atmosphere of 403 is quaint & cozy. It's almost speak easy-ish, but with an old home/coffee shop vibe going on. A plethora of books abound, and the artwork on the walls gives this place a great personality. There are small tables, large tables, and a couple of little nooks tucked away here and there. Bring your laptop to do some work or studying, tuck away with a latte and a book, or bring a date here for a romantic evening. I came for brunch on a Sunday morning, around 11. The place was full, but not overcrowded. We were able to snag a corner nook in the front room. We ordered two ginger cocktails (with domaine de canton ginger liquor and champagne). These were amazing! Not too sweet, perfect amount of alcohol. We enjoyed the burrata and shishito peppers to start. The burrata is heavenly, accompanied by fresh baked focaccia, chili oil, honey, and basil. An amazing flavor combination. Our taste buds were dancing! For our mains, we ordered the breakfast bowl and eggs in purgatory. Both were great, but would highly recommend getting the eggs in purgatory. The sauce is incredibly rich, and you get a few slices of fresh bread to sop it all up! We left full and satisfied. 403 broad is creative in its decor, as well as menu selections. BAKERY REVIEW ONLY When this place change its name to from The Patisserie to the current 403 Broad it caught me a little by surprise. What happened to those decadent chocolate mint brownies? The coconut macaroons? The first visit to 403 Broad was a bit of disappointment. We ordered a couple of bakery items, but they were forgettable. I am so happy to have given this place another shot this past weekend. They seemed to have really hit their stride! All the items were generous and delicious. I enjoyed their Cheddar and Chive scone. We were given a 2 for 1 discount because they were a day old, but honestly when you warmed these up you could not tell the difference. Great cheddar flavor along with the subtle chive. Croissant was perfectly made - buttery rich layers on the inside and flaky and crispy on the outside. The Dark Chocolate brownie was rich, dense and and chocolatey. These are huge - perhaps a 5 inch by 5 inch square and 1 1/2 half high, chocolate frosted. You get more than your money's worth. The Pecan bar was also the same size/price as the brownie, but I enjoyed this more since it was not as sweet. This hit all the right notes of an excellent pecan pie, but the dense square shape just made it even more satisfying. They have a by the community, for the community vibe here - the kind of place that I would be here daily if I lived in Milford. Favorite place for a cup of coffee and ridiculously DELICIOUS brownies, cinnamon rolls, cupcakes, etc. The pizza is thin yet satisfying, the salads are fresh, and the prices are very fair. The brunch menu is limited to an extent, and often times when I ordered the Durum pancakes, their shape and quality changed. Having them in the spring they were a bit smaller, and I had no complaints about the flavor. However, recently I ordered them hoping for the same controlled size portion only to have a huge stack of pancakes that tasted burnt and dry. I'm sure they were having a busier and more hectic day than usual and were on their 50th batch of pancakes so I didn't send them back. The other selections on the brunch menu sound protein packed and very satisfying. Overall, 403 Broad is one of the best cafes I've ever been to, and the restaurant portion is a hip, young, refreshing addition to Milfords often conservative, subpar, and fuddy-duddy restaurant scene. There are many different spots to relax here, whether on the porch with some ice cream (even good non-dairy choices) or inside in the coffee shop area by the gorgeous carved wood stairwell. We ate dinner in the back, and they let us sit down with some wine even though they weren't quite open yet for dinner. I was craving vegan pizza, which they had, and my spouse had the Beyond Burger with tater tots, something we had not seen on a plate for many years, lol. Oh, why did I eat tater tots? It's always refreshing seeing new businesses in the rise of this location considering it is a local, homie small town; that takes great pride in its people and their hidden talents. We went to 403 broad for brunch and ordered the tofu black bean burrito as well as the salmon locks bagel. Both were divine and we were surprised by the portion size being as large as it was that we were able to comfortably share. The ambiance was cozy but a bit crowded due to the lack of space utilization (understood). We enjoyed our milk stouts very much and the pricing for all three of our immediate items seemed fitting. My only complaint and or suggestion is that the level of maturity and professionalism amongst the staff is fairly weak and should be reevaluated. We had a decent wait time which one would be able to understand if only the hostesses were a bit more concerned with properly cleaning, setting tables and assisting their customers properly rather than chatting amongst themselves in FOH. Also, our waitress was young (like most of the staff) and had little to no enthusiasm about her work presences let alone ensuring the customers overall happiness. We are huge foodies. We have lived and traveled all over the country and out and We can confidently say that one big key factor for us and most I am sure, is that friendly and great service is key and can change the whole experience for the better. read more

The first thing you notice is the friendliness of the staff. Kyla was one of the most attentive waitresses we've ever had. The food was out quickly and tasted great. The eggplant balsamic pie was very tasty. My wife's mushroom kale sandwich, while while my wife liked it, I thought could have used something healthier than truffle mayonaisse ( for a healthy type sandwich ,the mayo didn't fit . I would ask for a replacement condiment or no mayo next time) Price was what you would expect in town $$. Could have given it 5 stars if the seating was a little more comfortable. Yesterday we (another foodie like me) we had the Arugula salad, Antipasto, Spaghetti Carbonara, the "Big Rob" pizza, 1 Beer and 2 glasses of wine for $90.48. The pasta and pizza did not have much flavor and both could have used salt in the prep process. The lack of flavor was disappointing and I only had one slice. Carbonara is an Italian pasta dish from Rome made with egg, hard cheese, guanciale, and pepper. The carbonara was a different take and had peas and looked good. But it was missing cheese and could have used pepper. It was underwhelming. The salad had a yogurt base which was the best part of the meal. I will try this place one more time to see if it was just an off night. Also for those of you that might think I am being a hater I lived in Sicily so I know what good food from this region should taste like. read more

Learn to cook your pasta and train your waitstaff to be more attentive! Wine selection by the glass had lines through it and With replacements...no descriptions. Nobody really watching the front of the house , so waitstaff can do whatever they want. I had the orchiette with lamb and the pasta was SO underdone! Bread was good as well as the preprep of most menu items but the execution SUCKED. The pizza crust was way too thick And inconsistent. Was looking for a place to grab a quick lunch and to be honest, there are not that many locations in Milford. We stopped into 403 Broad just to take a look but the menu looked great. They have alot of outdoor seating, so we got to sit on the porch which was nice. We had the antipasto, a pasta dish and an endive salad. All of the dishes were amazing. Our waitress was so nice and she was very accommodating when we asked about popular or recommended items. The pizza was the star of the show. Although there were some minor flaws in the overall experience. We decided to eat in a tapas style ordering and sharing the plates which was perfect for the sensory fueled meaty pie (3's company). However the portion on the $11 Pickled Summer Squash and beet (paper thin) on seasoned yogurt salad that was served was about as lackluster as it could come. The tartness of the pickled squash was not complimented in any way with anything else on the plate, and the flavor of vinegar was far too strong. The yogurt was a mere swipe across the plate and was close to non-recognizable as being a part of the menu mentioned listing. I might have put some more thought in the delivering of this dish to its consumers and added a dollop of the yogurt to swipe the tart squash through to balance the acidity. I may have also included some sort of sweet or fruit (candied/ crushed nut or sliced fruit- apple); and added other greens spinach or more beets to allow the plate to be elevated. This one for me was over after first bite, & at $11 it was a travesty spent on a minimal amount of plated vegetation. Just some other things to consider- read more

Had dinner here on a Tuesday night. Cute decor and ambient lighting make this restaurant a cozy little place in Milford. The food however, leaves a bit to be desired. We started with the mussels fra diavolo. They were cooked perfectly, but totally under seasoned. No spice, too little salt. The nonna's Sunday salad was ok but the dressing was a bit bland. I had the linguini with white clam sauce and it had one sliver of garlic, no Calabrian chili (as the menu promised ) and the homemade noodles were under cooked. The staff is obviously inexperienced but that wouldn't be a deal breaker if the food was good. We also had espresso drinks many times here before, but our server informed us that these were no longer offered at night due to Windy Brow Farm taking over the coffee and dessert part of the restaurant. I've never heard of a collaboration actually taking away from a place , rather than adding something new and exciting. I thought perhaps Windy Brow desserts would be offered to dinner patrons-but we were not offered dessert at all. Overall underwhelming,and under staffed. A night manager or owner present may help a bit-as well as a few training sessions in hospitality and culinary arts for both front and back of the house. read more

This place is great! The shishito pepper app was delicious. My husband and I got pasta - I got the first dish listed (red sauce, chili flakes, guanciale) and he got the carbonara. The pasta definitely tasted homemade. I absolutely loved my dish, perfect amount of spice. Others in my group got pizza and they raved about that as well. I would definitely return! I had the eggplant pizza and it was delicious. Inside is very nicely decorated and very clean. The porch is also amazing when you have good weather. On another occasion I had the impossible vegan burger. I didn't realize it was meant to look and taste like real meat, but it was pretty good anyway. Pizza is good, but all other dishes are created and prepared by a person who lacks not just vision, but basic taste recognition - we found them to be unbalanced and unpalatable. Can get noisy as tables are close to each other and we actually had to leave one time because the table next to us was way too loud. Their bakery up front is very good with some nice options and the atmosphere of the old house is good. The wait staff we have had were attentive.
