We contracted with 404 Movers to provide service to move our entire furnishings from our Cumming, GA home to our new Senoia, GA home. 404 Movers did not provide the service we expected and were promised. Additionally, 404 Movers engaged in a fraudulent business practice of "bait and switch" where a price was quoted and accepted only to be followed by an attempt to solicit additional charges for the service not completed. The first day of expected service was stopped due solely to negligent abandonment and stoppage of services by 404 Movers. The next day 404 MOVERS attempted to solicit additional charges for moving services to complete the service 404 Movers did not complete on the first day as promised. We were forced to hire another moving company at a cost of $565 to complete the move when 404 Movers did not arrive at the scheduled time on day two at 9 am nor 3 pm to complete the move. Below I will list the damages to both the furnishings and the home we were moving from. Please note that the home was for sale and numerous pictures are available to show the original condition of the home and furnishings. Also, the home had been thru two inspections which did not find any damage to the home. * A cherished curio cabinet was severely damage. Two of four legs and all four upper finials were broken completely off. The mirrored glass in the curio was broken. * A toilet seat in one the bathrooms was completely broken and pieces of it left on the floor and trash can. * A toilet was used by one of the movers and not completely flushed * Multiple dents in the walls required sheetrock repair and re-painting. * Mattresses appear to have been dragged across the wood floor of the truck leading to splinters and dirt on the fabric of the mattress. * Furniture items and appliances were dragged across wood and tile floors damaging them. Lastly, the lack of disrespect in the way items were handled that included, dragging them across carpet, tile, and hardwood floors, and bouncing the dolly when empty down the stairs or across the floors. read more

This story is too long but I would not recommend these movers. I had to hire them to pack my apartment. My job abruptly sent me to work in another country. I was overwhelmed. I let my place sit while I got settled somewhere else. They gave me a vague estimate. I added my own padding on top of that because he kinda seemed like he wasn't listening very well or writing down what I said so I stopped talking. I could be wrong but that's what it seemed like. At first my dealings with the scheduler/ office was ok until I had to reschedule (my keys got held up in the mail because of a hurricane). Of course I wasn't there so I had a friend come to monitor/ unlock and lock my apartment for the movers. The office/ scheduler said I need to do this in 2 days. He said one to pack one to move and I would need 2 guys (ok. He's the expert). He verbally rescheduled me for a Wednesday to pack and a Thursday to move. I gave him my friends number. On Tuesday he never called to tell me or her what time they were coming so in the morning I texted him to ask. He told me he has me down for Thursday and Friday (That's not what he said but ok I get it, he's busy and that hurricane messed everybody's schedule up). I asked him what time he never responded. The next morning I asked what time and he gave me a 2 hour window. My friend showed up and nobody came or communicated with her. Finally 2 hours after the 2 hour window she heard from one of the movers and he gave himself another 2 hours. She has an appointment but she stayed until she couldn't anymore. When she had to leave. They had to leave. They accessed the amount of work and started packing. She FaceTimed me when she had to leave and they didn't even put a dent in the packing. She said they didn't bring a lot of packing supplies inside. The office/ scheduler sent a request for the days payment (for coming out late and not even putting a dent in the work). Then mentioned he was giving me a discount (but I didn't even know what it was supposed to cost for a couple of hours and an assessment). The next morning they gave another 2 hour window and they did the same thing. Came 2 hours after the 2 hour window. She said one of them worked hard and the other was slow. She had to help. The slow one made comments about my personal things (when I called her, he made the same comments to me so she wasn't lying). They get to the storage facility and it's about to close. Bottom line they have to keep my things overnight. I don't know them and I'm nowhere near there in case something does happen/ they came late and that's why they didn't make it/ they came late the day before and that's why things weren't packed/ they're in a rental truck so at this point my things could disappear for all I know and the office/ scheduler is nickel and diming me. He said I have an unusual amount of stuff. But I told him how big my unit was and my things fit in there. AND his men assessed the place the day before. He could have called me and told me he Needed to get another man and gave me a price ahead of time for that. He charged me for this day and mentioned again I was getting a discount and told me my deposit counted to the day before even though I paid and they only spent 2 hours there. I expressed my concern about everything. Including his emphasis on payments but lack of acknowledgement of the fact that strange men have my entire life in a truck and have to keep it overnight. Or coming late or the fact that my friend had to help because I "have a lot of stuff". I paid. His response was to ignore all of my concerns but to mention things he thought he knew about my personal life based on his men going through my things and reporting back to him. Things that had nothing to do with moving. And that I didn't tell him everything. I just said "you're right" and told him he's been nothing but respectful what else was I supposed to say? He has my things. They came the next day and put my things in storage.. I paid again for those hours. That vague estimate ended up being almost double at the end of the day. And I understood it would cost more but not double. I feel so disrespected and violated. I started looking up reviews. Reports of items coming up missing and being late. I'm so nervous that something won't be there. I didn't look at the reviews ahead because I was overwhelmed and was strongly recommended to them. I have to make it up to my friend for wasting 3 days of her life and making her get dirty. And I wanna say you get what you pay for. But I paid. And I paid a good amount and on time. I'm sure another company would have charged the same. A little more or a little less. But I would have known up front. Would have had a solid schedule and communication. I booked them to move some eqpt to my art studio, Saturday. The day of the move at the last minute, I got a text saying the movers were stuck in savannah and wouldn't make it. I asked for my deposit to be returned and they promised to come on Thursday. Thursday comes and theres no update, no confirmation, finally i call and they hung up on me twice. The actual movers are great. We moved from one 3rd floor apartment to another with no stairs. The actual movers are why I didn't give this company 1 Star. They get 1 Star for being misleading upfront and overcharging after the service. When I first called, they told me that given my circumstances we would need 2 movers for 2 hours and this would be $315. A day or two before my move, they called telling me that I should get 3 movers instead of 2 because it would be more cost effective. I thought that they were trying to upsell me, and so I declined the 3rd mover. Fast forward to moving day. It took the movers 3.5 hours to move all our stuff, including an unspecified break they took when their truck wouldn't start. The total cost was somewhere just under $600. Somehow, when they billed me, they billed an extra $40 without any explanation. And the 3% credit card fee didn't explain it. It took me a WEEK of pestering 404 Movers before they finally refunded me the over charge. So moral of the story is that they do not live up to their claims. There are plenty of hidden costs: (1) initial underestimation, (2) 3% credit card fee, (3) equipment malfunction, and (4) your time and frustration dealing with them. read more

Scheduled 404 Movers to come out on 7/23 at 1:30 PM. I got confirmation over the phone and via email (see attached screenshots). I called multiple times the morning of the move to ask some questions and was sent to voicemail. When I finally got in touch with someone, they just hung up on me. 1:30 rolls around and no one from 404 movers show up. I have my husband try calling who is finally able to get in touch with someone who said they would follow up with the crew. I then get a text from Brent who tells me that we aren't on the schedule and that they won't be able to send someone out until Tuesday! (5 days later). I had to be out by Sunday and couldn't do that. Brent doesn't call me to explain, doesn't try to work something out, or apologize. He just says that he'll refund my deposit. I trusted that 404 movers would be there as promised. They really screwed me over on what was supposed to be a very happy day moving into my new home. I've spent the entire day moving as much as I can over with my husband and am now scrambling to find movers to help with the larger pieces of furniture. I filed a claim 5 months ago and the company has been unresponsive. Every time I call, they say the person who handles the claim isn't in and will leave a message. Last month I scheduled and paid a pre-deposit for labor with 404 Movers for my move on November 29 and they DID NOT SHOW UP, nor did they respond to any calls or texts when I reached out the day of the move and never issued a refund. I had to dispute the charge with my bank and am still dealing with that. So no labor the day of my move and they took my money. I was closing on my house the day after and had to be out and did not have labor to move my things out. Do not recommend. The communication was extremely poor. I was rescheduled twice at the last minute. When the movers arrived, they were on time and efficient. They unmounted my TV as well. When moving furniture into the new place my couch, walls, and doorframe were damaged as they tried to force and shove the couch through the doorway multiple times instead of letting me know it wouldn't fit. I have not been able to get a response from the company in over a month regarding my damage claim. I had two dressers, two bookcases, and a queen-sized mattress, box spring, and bed frame. Piece of cake. I emptied most of the dresser drawers and had everything ready to go when they got there. They seemed nice enough. They didn't have a bag for my mattress even though I thought there would be one, but they said they'd wrap the mattress in plastic and I agreed. They are ROUGH on your things. I'm glad my pieces were not delicate antiques. They are equally rough on your home. They nicked the wall and the moulding over the front door right in front of the homeowner and said nothing. I meet them at the house as they are *attempting* to back into my driveway, which has a lovely lamp post next to it. After flattening it, they eventually get out and just bend it back up before I can take a picture. They say nothing to me. No apology or anything. They scuffed the hardwood floors, and left everything except the mattress wrapped in plastic, including the box spring. My mother and I had to wrestle the mattress off to get the plastic wrap off the box spring. To add insult to injury, they left LITERAL GARBAGE on my lawn, including a water bottle, paper towels, and candy bar wrappers. I called and left a voicemail with the company and emailed them as well. They just contact you like you want a quote for moving. This company is complete trash. They can get bent. read more

Unethical business practices. I canceled a with them more than 24 hours before the scheduled move. I paid a $100 deposit using Zelle. When I asked about getting a refund for the deposit, I was told it would take 2-3 business days to process. Not sure why, as the deposit was paid using Zelle and the company did not ask for any credit or debit card information to issue my refund. They could have simply returned the money to me via Zelle using my phone number. Needless to say, 2-3 business days turned into 4 weeks of back and forth phone calls and text messages inquiring about my refund. It is now 5 weeks later and I still have not received my deposit back. It's safe to say at this point, I don't think the company had any intention of ever refunding my money. They never showed up. They were uncommunicative about it too. Eventually, when I could get the rep on the phone, he told me that they couldn't come, and that there was nothing they could do. 404 Movers left me high and dry. I needed to be out of my place that day (Friday) and they said the earliest they could come was Sunday. They sited the rain as the major player in the reason they did not come. Short story is that they never showed up. I had an appointment at 1:30 pm yesterday. Just never showed up. I called them about 8 times trying to figure out what was going on. I got live people a couple of times but all they told me is that they were running behind and that they would get to me. Never happened. They even sent me a cheery automated email this morning asking me to rate my moving experience. I was fortunately in a situation where new owners/renters were showing up the next day. That would have been catastrophic. I tried Atlanta Peach Movers and while they were booked up, the gentleman on the top home referred me to another' company that was able to take me on short notice. So thank you for that, Atlanta Peach Movers. You were more courteous and responsive than the company I was paying good money to use. A one star rating here is too high because it implies that some work effort was put in that turned out to be unsatisfactory. In this case, their was zero work put in, zero responsiveness, zero customer support. Basically zero consideration for the customer. This is a zero star organization. Don't use these guys. They were hours late, and they broke a leg off my antique dresser. They tried to hide it from me, but the dresser would not stand on its own because of it. I called them out immediately and told the movers my expectation they communicate this to the right person. I tried to contact them after the move to get it repaired through a vendor of theirs. After weeks with no response, I went ahead and took the dresser myself. If I could give a negative score, I would. I booked with 404 movers weeks ago for our appointment today at 9am. After movers were an hour late with no call, I called only number available on their website. All calls are transferred to sales office and every person I talked to took down my information and said someone would get back to me. After hours went by, repeatedly calling with no call back, even after two separate staff members said they would reach out to the owner.. I finally got a call back from Jeff. He stated "an overnight job ran long and he apologized but they were supposed to call and didn't". I asked if they could move us tomorrow and he said their earliest availability is Monday. My entire house is packed up and ready to move per our scheduled appointment. I received TWO confirmation emails that we were on track for today. The fact that NO ONE could call me back in a timely fashion or be honest with me about what happened... which is more than likely a scheduling issue or double booking is extremely unprofessional. I would never, ever, book with these movers again. I called and emailed earlier in the week to check to see if they received my video inventory with no response. I don't understand how you conduct a business like this. Now myself and my husband are moving our entire house by ourselves in the rain with a one and a half year old because this moving company screwed us over. I booked and paid the deposit of $100 well over 2 weeks from the move. I sent my video in. The day before my move was scheduled I got 4 different phone calls. One to make sure I paid the deposit. The other to explain that they felt they needed to send 4 movers based upon my video and it might take 2 trips, but 4 guys would help speed it up. The price went up, but nobody estimated the near the amount of time it ended up taking. To avoid the 2 trips, we made multiple trips with our cars to move items to the new house. I mean we moved A LOT. Day of move they were to arrive at 9. At 9:15 I get a call that they don't have a driver. They'll call within an hour. Over an hour later I call the office and get someone to finally call me back. They tell me best case scenario is 11:45 and worst case 1:00. This is a drive from Atlanta to Villa Rica on a Thursday! Traffic is not at issue middle of the day. They arrive at our house at 2:30. The are from Atlanta Estate Property Movers. They are in a ratty truck with extra items on there already and a cardboard piece taped to the door saying "Not for HIre". They proceed to take 3.5 hours to empty the house, arguing about who will wrap and who will load. It took way too long. At the new house they started unloading but would not let us help at all. Halfway through the truck they want me to pay for the move. I discuss my issues with whoever is on the phone. He says that 404 didn't do the move and gave it to them THAT DAY. He takes a little off the bill but I am paying for 5 hours of a move and they need to be done by 8pm. I have difficulty making the payment without WIFI yet, and so the all men except one decide to take a break and can be heard saying they won't work until that payment goes through. The payment goes through and now they are hustling because they don't make money after 8 and suddenly we are able to help. We had them putting stuff where ever just to get them out. When done, they reminded us many times how they also work for cash tips. Once they left we worked for quite a while to put things where they should have put them. DO NOT USE 404 MOVERS!!!!!!! I have a 0 rating. They will tell you whatever you want to hear. When they show up. Gabriel show paperwork and Gabriel informs you they get tips but don't tell office. The 2 guys that showed up did get me moved in the 2 hours. But I credit all that to the one named Mike the other Gabriel unloaded truck and left Mike to carry up stairs and put where it needed to go. And Gabriel continued to call Mike everytime he was ready for him to carry something else up. Mike hustled and smiled the whole time even every time Gabriel would call him , like Mike was just standing around doing nothing and need Gabriel to keep him going. (Somebody needed to keep a Gabriel honest and working as hard) Mike, you need to find another job where you are appreciated for your hard work I had one piece that was important, handmade China cabinet, Well Gabriel was at top of cabinet carrying up the stairs probably because it was the lighter end. He broke the top off which I'm sure by the brake the noise would have told them it was broke but instead of him saying anything. He set the broken piece back on cabinet like nothing ever happened. I tipped these guys and wish I would have given whole amount to Mike. I gave called several times about the cabinet spoke once with Brett who told me to text pictures to a line that does not except pictures. I have left messages and emailed there web address no answer. I used 404 Movers to last month for a move, mainly because you guys had decent reviews and were a bit cheaper than your competitors. However, the handling of the move was completely unprofessional by the ownership/leadership of the company. We had the move scheduled for 1:30. Someone called me approximately 30 minutes prior to when they were supposed to arrive and said they would be 2 hours late. We had to turn the keys over to the apartment at 4:30, so we left plenty of buffer room for the move out part so we would be able to do that. I had to continuously call for updates to figure out what was going on and when someone would arrive. Someone finally arrived around 2:45. With the arrival, they sent two movers that did not have too much experience dissembling and reassembling furniture. In addition, I asked for a mattress protection cover with my move and did not receive it and watched my mattress be on the dirty floor as they moved it. We had everything in boxes and ready to go, but the total move still took 5.5 hours - we were quoted 3 hours max by most other moving companies for a 2 bedroom. The movers got tired halfway through and I could tell they were not working as fast as they should. In addition, they could not figure out how to reassemble the furniture they took apart, wasting time. In addition, a lot of time was also spent on the phone fighting with the owner on how they shouldn't have come to the job. At the end of the move, I had scratches on my brand new corner desk, a broken jewelry case and a rip in my roommate's mattress. So I call the owner for a discount and he offers $50 and starts unprofessionally yelling over the phone when I say I would like more due to the above stress. I will not use 404 movers again and will deter friends from using them in the future. Although I understand movers run late, I think remorse for making us go through such a stressful moving day due to their movers getting tired and showing up late would've helped us have a better opinion, instead of yelling at us for asking for a discount. I have moved 9 times in the past 11 years and this is the worst moving experience I've ever had. First things first, I scheduled for 3 movers and only 2 showed up. They were late. 1 of them, the assistant/amateur, wreaked of weed, telling stories about how he got in a fight and almost got shot last night. The other mover, the supposed experienced one, thought it was appropriate to share with us that it was his first day on the job. Why would this company send 2 movers who don't know what they're doing with no one to guide them? The methods they used to move our things indicated to me that they had zero experience (e.g., stacking heavier, bigger boxes on top of smaller, lighter ones only for them to collapse and crush our belongings). Only one had on a 404 t-shirt and the other was barely dressed with his pants sagging off his behind the entire time. This is probably why it took them 7 hours to complete a 2 bedroom move and they charged us for the full amount, despite movers being on their phones and taking long breaks due to the inclement weather. I've had different companies move these same items in under 3-4 hours! They broke our lamp and scuffed up our walls. Please, please, please do not use this company for moving. If they are the only company in Atlanta, you are better off renting a truck and moving by yourself! I wish I could give -20 stars. Edit to add: They came with no tools. My boyfriend had to come over with his tools to take apart both beds and the couch while they were moving other things. Hired 404Movers to move our family of 3 paying them $150 hr. plus long distance fee of $250. Due to health issues we were glad for help. I paid $103 deposit upon scheduling. 404Movers sent countdown & daily reminders up to moving date as well as their cancellation policy. The night prior to move we packed up the last items about 10:30 finding 404movers had called several times (not during business hours but beginning at 7:00 pm.) I immediately confirmed again by text & began trying to reach them the next morning. They refused to move us on scheduled date & re-scheduled for the following day, at huge inconvenience to us. They arrived on time but didn't call when in route, as promised, not a big deal. They worked hard and steady & we stayed out of their way. When they finished my husband gave them a big tip, glad for help since he's disabled. After they left we noticed: - a hole in the wall from dropping a bookcase, they never told us about it - broken recliner on my leather sofa - horribly bent doors on my new side by side refrigerator - Grandfather clock, worth $3,000 is broken and won't keep time I'm positive there's additional damage because I've seen screws left on floor, drawers won't pull out smoothly anymore, and found wood trim on floors from broken furniture, unsure where the parts went. Aware accidents happen we expected something may get broken, no big deal either. This however, is pure negligence. If you cherish your belongings, do not do business with this company. I messaged the owner and received no response yet. The company claims to be about 40% less expensive than other companies since they charge hourly fee. No Call, No Showed on a (very) important client's move - even after receiving a deposit with confirmation of our move sent to us literally 12 hours before the scheduled time of our appointment. Never came. Never called. No one responded when reaching out (by phone and by email) to inquire about arrival because the move was on a Sunday which is outside of business hours. Was told "I don't know how your move slipped through the cracks" the next day. Ha. If I recommend this service to you, that means you are my arch nemesis. Do not call this company. read more

I should have read the other reviews before scheduling a move with them. Like others who have posted here, we reserved our move two weeks out. The day of the scheduled move, the crew did not show up. Multiple texts and calls to the home office went unanswered. I had to pay a premium to schedule another mover to come the following morning to move us. The manager/owner? called me the following day and explained the crew who was to do my move had marked it as completed in their system. He said they had been fired. I asked him why there was nobody to answer my calls and texts the day before. He said the dispatcher had to assist with another move and left the office. I don't believe a word of this. I am sure they over-booked that day and decided who would get movers and who would not. They knew there would be phone calls from people like me and intentionally did not answer them. I used this company to move on June 3rd and the helper was drunk they took a 30 min break before arriving to my new resident and backed over my mailbox i filled out the claim aswell sent pictures in to Brent and Micheal and now all i get is a voicemail and no call backs when it's time to actually get it replaced .as well as them breaking and dropping several other items unfortunately this has been my experience ibe schedule multiple service days with Jeff and others in the company for Mr.William to come replace the mailbox and keep getting the run around after a month of constant reaching out .Disappointing is an understatement please i urge you to pick different movers read more

This is a pic of my 55in Samsung TV that I purchased only 2 yrs ago for over $500. The tv was fine until the guy from 404movers came out to move me and decided he ALONE would pack my tv. He covered the tv with one of the raggedy blue blankets they brought out and proceeded to SQUEEZE the tv in the center at the top and bottom of tv as he carried it and later that night when I turned it on .. .I find the screen in this unrepairable condition. I can't get anyone on the phone at the company to speak to and via email I have been told by Brent in claims my tv is only worth $11. He states it is based on some valuation insurance options. 404 movers is the worst company you could ever book for your move! If you want an inebriated junky moving your stuff, this is the company for you! They create their crews from temp agencies and their customer service blows!!! You have to call multiple times to get through to anyone and then they tell you lies!!! The initial booking was smooth but a disaster after that!!! Brent will tell you he's checking on things for you, put you on hold, and then never pick back up the phone again! The supposed "general manager," Mike, is always dealing with a family matter, out of office, or flying back into town. Only spoke to him once on the morning of our move! He called to tell me that our initial crew was in a accident and he was redirecting another crew to our home. They almost canceled on us completely. Multiple damaged items during the move! We tried to get the junkies to leave and they wouldn't! They just kept picking things up and taking them to the moving container after being told not to! They created a hostile environment, argued with us, and would not let us direct the move. They scratched floors, scratched and dented my refrigerator, busted my ceiling fan, chipped up base boards and sheet rock, and tangled my large jewelry box after we asked them to not touch it! We were dealing with junkies!!!! This was a living nightmare! I I don't know how they stay in business. Because the moving container was so randomly packed, all of our items are going to shift and break when the flat bed truck comes to pick up the container for storage. No telling what kind of damage is ahead of us!!!! Also, because of the random packing, all of our items didn't fit; they definitely could have fit!!! We had to arrange to move and pack the rest of our items ourselves in cars and a family trailer because there were no Uhauls or trucks available! They didn't just leave us up the creek without a paddle, they threw us out of the boat! The managers are always busy with something else and can't help you. I even drove up to their "supposed" office location and it looked like an abandoned church in a strip of businesses in the ghetto of Atlanta!!! The door was locked, no cars or people in sight!!! My bank is investigating them for fraud! We are calling WSB-TV to report! What a joke this business is!!! Lesson learned! Please head my advice! Don't book with them! The few good reviews must be fake! I'm serious!! If you book with them after reading this review and all the others, you're just as dumb as they are! Consider yourself warned!!! read more

I would NOT recommend 404 Movers. They dropped my sewing machine and caused $129 in damage. They never responded to my request for a claim form or my numerous requests to be refunded. They carry $300 damage coverage automatically so there's no reason for them to refuse. After one month, I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. They didn't respond to BBB either. Fortunately, I charged the move, so finally I called my credit card company and filed a dispute. Based on other BBB complaints, 404 Movers will become very defensive and claim they have no responsibility. I'm expecting VERY UNPROFESSIONAL response from them. I hired three movers. Two of them appeared to have limited experience. My lease stated I had to put bed bug-proof covers on the mattress and box springs. The movers took them out of new packaging and put them on. Then they set the mattress in the dirt and tore the box springs cover. Both had to be removed and thrown out at the destination. Their excuse was "I thought they were just for the move." They did take about $30 off my bill, but I still lost half the cost of the covers. When they went to attach the mirror on the dresser, they said it wouldn't fit - because they were trying to install it vertically instead of horizontally. No other mover has every made that mistake (their inexperience was showing!). They also nicked and dented other furniture that was not damaged during the last three moves made by other movers If you use them, save all your correspondence and document your phone calls. Don't expect a response. Look at other negative reviews and you will see that 404 Movers is always defensive and has an excuse why it wasn't their fault. They ALWAYS blame their client. read more

I had 2 movers help me with moving furniture and heavy boxes from my old place to my new one and they damaged the wall to the point my realtor had to fix it before the new buyer to see the house the next day. Talk about stressful! I took pictures and I addressed the issue immediately with the company. They asked to see the pictures so I sent the pictures and reached out after I hadn't heard from them after a week. And guess what no response.... a month later. My best advice if you can afford College Hunks get them otherwise please just watch the movers closely! Unfortunately you may have to micromanage professional movers. Good luck! read more

The site states that you can request an in home estimate, however, when they contact you, it is clear they don't want to do one. I was told, "We can do one, but the price will depend on how prepared you are. So the estimate won't really give you a price." Huh?! I explained to the gentleman that I have gotten other in home estimates and I still wanted one from them to compare. I said that it was fine if he did not want to do it but to just let me know. He thanked me for my time and hung up without allowing me to say anything else. I guess he told me. Lol. He was pretty rude, so I'd prefer not to give him my hard-earned money anyway. read more

DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY This company is terrible avoid doing business with them. My wife hired them to move her business out of our basement and into her new brick and mortar store. It was a simple move, not a lot of items and the store is located 2.5 miles from our house. Somehow they managed to damage the one piece of furniture that was irreplaceable ( a imported antique cabinet) When the damage was spotted the movers pretended not to know what happened and then my wife's employee went and checked their truck and sure enough the broken pieces of the cabinet were on the floor of the truck! They made out a report and told her that the owner Mike would be in touch. That was a month and half ago. We have called several times left multiple messages and we have never heard back from him. Not once! Not only that. She was charged a $100 deposit that was never refunded back to her. It's disappointing since we were trying to support a black owned company and it's shameful that our experience was this bad. 404 movers major fail!!! read more

This company is a disgrace and should be investigated. Jeff and Mike give you lip service. My move from the old house to an overnight semi-trailer was great. However, the move from the trailer to the new house was a disaster! The movers damaged almost every piece of furniture. The head mover was more worried about tips than the move. I was told to take out insurance (from them) $300 was the cost. After numerous phone calls and e-mails all I got was the run around. I filed a complaint now my next move is small claims court. They were sent pictures of damaged items and stated on more then one occasion they would send someone out to access. Why take out insurance if they refuse to proceed with the claim. Sounds like a scam to me. STAY AWAY this is a horrible company!!! read more

I cannot say enough things about my experience with 404 Movers. Pierre and Malik did a magnificent job on a very difficult assignment. They were very creative in arranging all of our furniture and boxes into two POD storage units. They were very pleasant and courteous throughout the entire job.
