We stumbled on 405 cabinets by accident on our way to visit someone. We live 1.5-2hours away in Northridge and we are so happy we stopped that day. Everyone is very nice and Dang is the individual who sat with us to design our entire kitchen. We told him what we wanted and he sat there on his computer and put our vision on screen in a mere 15-20 min. He also had great ideas and suggestions for when we were a little stuck on what we wanted. Dang is a pleasure to do business with and is very responsive to any messages and emails we sent. He has always exceeded our expectations. We have returned to Dang at least 5 more times so that he can help us finish other projects in our home. The showroom is huge and amazing and clean and has a large variety! The ladies at the front counter are always so friendly too. Even though it is a little far for us, we don't mind the drive at all when doing business with people like Dang and the rest of the staff. 10/10 recommend this place! read more

this is my second project for my home improvement. I have bought 20 kitchen cabinets two years ago and I came back to 405 Cabinets to buy six more cabinets for my bathroom. This time I decide to assemble these cabinets by myself. I was at awe how easy it was since all the lock screw are pre-install and just need to use screwdriver to install a few screws. And instructions are very easy to follow. Unlike IKEA cabinets which require a tons of hardware. Within a few minutes, I was able to put together my cabinet. The best of all is the 405 Cabinets are made out of 100% real wood from Vietnam, thus there no chips, and dents. Furthermore, real wood allows me to customize or drI'll additional hole if needed and was able to install additional hooks and shelve rails on the side of the cabinets. My agent was Dang, who has helped me in the past project. He is super friendly and very knowledgeable with computer to design and layout. He responds very quickly with text messages to your questions and make further adjustment or modifications to the project before I finalize the purchase of the . 405 Cabinets also allows you to have custom-made cabinet to fit my project. Dang also gave me the tour to the Cabinet factory adjacent to the showroom. My wife and I very rarely leave bad reviews. This situation calls for a bad review to serve as a warning about the customer service and about the painted cabinets from 405 (specifically Venetian Cream cabinets, which is the most expensive line). This review has nothing to do with our designer Stacy. She was so helpful in helping our vision come to life, and she is so patient and kind. Our main concerns are with the quality control for Venetian Cream and the customer service we received regarding our concerns with quality control. When cleaning the pantry faces, with water and a microfiber cloth, lots of small paint particles pill off of the pantry panels of the Venetian Cream cabinets (see attached media). We did a gentle cleaning initially of just a towel and water, and noticed bits of paint pilling. Kent came to investigate the problem. When we first brought up the concern, he began laughing and assured us that it was not possible. He asserted that it was just lighting and there was not a problem. When we showed him a picture of the problem, he then asserted it was dust. When we recreated the problem with a paper towel, he claimed that the pilling material was paper towels. When we recreated the problem again with a dark microfiber cloth and water, and proved that it was not paper towels, he then asserted that it was dust again. We weren't looking for a refund or any compensation. We just wanted a reason and solution as to why paint was peeling off the cabinets. When asked for a solution, Kent said, "I have been doing this for 20 years, and I have no solutions. If you can give me a solution, then give me that solution. But I don't see a problem, it's just dust." His final solution was to go to Home Depot to look at other cheap cabinets to show that 405 cabinets are better than what is at Home Depot, which does not solve our concerns. Every time we brought up a concern, he yelled over us and laughed at us. After wiping the same spot for 10 minutes to show that paint was peeling off the pantry side panel, he still continued to maintain that the pilling material was dust and lighting dependent. He was so condescending he made my wife cry. It was implied by 405 after Kent came to our house that the pilling material maybe styrofoam or dirt. Styrofoam does not peel off cabinets (as peeling was shown in the video), and dirt is not ivory colored (as shown in the media). I attached a picture of actual dirt on my finger for reference. We truly do believe that the material pilling off of the cabinet is the paint, no matter how much we were gaslit to believe that it is paper towels, dust, dirt, styrofoam, and just a case of bad lighting. Additionally, we are getting the exterior of our house painted by a local, family owned, small painting business, who does interior and exterior painting. We asked the owner of the company and the foreman on our project their opinion as to what the pilling material is. After watching us recreate the problem, they agreed that it is definitely paint coming off the pantry faces. They said that it was very likely that the paint used on the drawers and the paint used on the pantry sides were different paints. The paint used on the pantry sides is very likely not "cabinet-grade" paint that can be regularly wiped clean, which is what was causing the pilling on every pantry side. However, they did agree with 405 that there is no ideal solution. So, we will just never clean the pantry faces. Regardless, the Venetian Cream cabinets have several visual flaws. The lines accentuating the face of the drawers and doors do not match up (please see attached). The seams are visible in several drawers (as seen in the video). Paint is pilling off some of the drawer faces and leaves behind a very textured surface on those drawers (seen in the video). We cannot in good faith recommend these Venetian Cream cabinets, or any other painted cabinets from 405. I have major concerns with a pantry panel that is pilling paint being right next to where I cook. To spend almost 20k on kitchen cabinets alone (excluding installation and hardware), to have paint peeling off of them, lines not matching up, and several imperfections, and THEN to have such a condescending customer service interaction is absolutely unacceptable. We asked for touch-up paint in the Venetian Cream color. Instead of providing a can of paint, they poured some in a water bottle, which leaked everywhere (see attached photo). 405 also offered us 4 ft by 8 ft skin panels that we would have to cut to size ourselves to cover the impacted areas. However, if you are willing to take the risk on the customer service team, I would go with the Whiskey Royale stained cabinets, or any other stained cabinets from 405. We have had no problems with the Whiskey Royale cabinets in our bathroom (as those are stained, NOT painted). I would also recommend working with Stacy as a designer, as she is very talented, patient, and helpful. read more
