Thrilled with our new kitchen! We couldn't be happier with our new kitchen cabinets and overall design experience! We chose a two-tone combination with Villa Pearl upper cabinets and Whisky Royale lower cabinets and island, paired with beautiful Nano Crystallized Stone countertops. The craftsmanship and build quality of the materials are top-notch--everything feels incredibly sturdy, smooth, and modern. A huge shoutout to our designer, Misu, who guided us through the entire design process. Misu listened closely to what we wanted, offered expert vision, and made sure every detail tied together seamlessly. If you are looking for outstanding product quality and an amazing designer to bring your vision to life, I highly recommend asking for Misu! read more

405 Cabinets & Stone - Cabinetry Near Me - Fountain Valley, California

Anne is the best. I use these cabinets in all my high end custom homes. The service and quality is top notch.

As some of my fellow "Yelpers" know already about me, I like posting the good, bad, and ugly for each review. Well folks, you might be a little disappointed.... The "GOOD"! Yep, I decided to start with the positive and in this case the GOOD is **insert drum roll here** Dang Nguyen! He was so patient and always had such a positive can-do attitude. Let me start from the beginning. I was feeling overwhelmed with my remodel. The contractor had done his best to replicate the cabinets I had, with the new ones. However, staring at the CAD rendering didn't put me at ease. Did I mention I am a type A personality. So the contractor, myself and Dang sat together and starting at one end of my kitchen going through to the very last cabinet. We looked at every single drawer and cabinet placement including where the appliances would go. I think I was bending their ear for at least an hour or so with constant questions. We double checked measurements, discussed inserts and if Dang needed clarification or if I had a concern Dang never rolled his eyes or tried to shut me up. He allowed me to "ask away" and never tried to scoot me out of the store. The fact that he was professional, patient, and created such a comfortable environment he deserves enormous recognition, respect, and a pay raise! When a cabinet or drawer didn't work out because of measurement changes, he always had a suggestion. For example, I don't cook but I love those pullout spice racks. You know, those narrow pullout drawers. I don't use them for spices but they are so helpful for other things. Another example is the stackable insert for the silverware drawer. I love gadgets so when I saw this in the show room, well of course this girlie needed to have it. I know it's not a new idea, but for me, and my 35 year old kitchen - it was a big deal and I am thrilled to say I love it. Another example, their showroom had at least 4-5 different trash bin drawers to chose from! What??? Now I am giddy with the idea that I don't need to put the trash bin under the sink. The BAD. For months, prior to selecting a contractor, my heart was set on the color "Sage" for my kitchen cabinets. Unfortunately 405 Cabinets & Stone didn't have that color selection. I was so impressed working with Dang, I actually changed my mind and went with a different color that is sold there. Am I sad about the color, I would be lying if I said no. But, once I make up my mind, I go all in. In this case all in means sage color accessories! My point here is turning a bad/sad experience, into a positive one. More importantly, I want to tell the store owner it was because of Dang, I ended up purchasing nearly everything at his store. Mirrors, bathroom vanities, hallway closet cabinets etc... The UGLY, two words Parking Sucks! (enough said) I hope this lengthy Yelp review is helpful - ask for Dang, and don't panic if you can't find a place to park. **insert smile here** read more

I asked Jenny to design custom entertainment cabinets for one of my customers, and she did an amazing job! Her design was exactly what we were looking for--beautiful, functional, and well thought out. I was able to build the cabinets for my client based on her design, and the final result came out great. Jenny is creative, professional, and easy to work with. I highly recommend her for custom cabinetry and design projects! read more

The paint on the bathroom vanity and mirror is peeling off. The vanities are cheaply made, and the paint isn't waterproof at all. The paint started coming off just a few months after installation. After five years, more and more paint is peeling off every day, and now my vanity looks ugly unless I repaint it. I regret that I purchased three bathroom vanities here. Why don't they use waterproof paint on the bathroom vanity? My bathroom is lightly use and the paint still came off after a few months, as long as it contact with a few drops of water then it would stains and paint came off. Their vanities aren't cheap but quality is worse than HomeDepot ones. read more

this is my second project for my home improvement. I have bought 20 kitchen cabinets two years ago and I came back to 405 Cabinets to buy six more cabinets for my bathroom. This time I decide to assemble these cabinets by myself. I was at awe how easy it was since all the lock screw are pre-install and just need to use screwdriver to install a few screws. And instructions are very easy to follow. Unlike IKEA cabinets which require a tons of hardware. Within a few minutes, I was able to put together my cabinet. The best of all is the 405 Cabinets are made out of 100% real wood from Vietnam, thus there no chips, and dents. Furthermore, real wood allows me to customize or drI'll additional hole if needed and was able to install additional hooks and shelve rails on the side of the cabinets. My agent was Dang, who has helped me in the past project. He is super friendly and very knowledgeable with computer to design and layout. He responds very quickly with text messages to your questions and make further adjustment or modifications to the project before I finalize the purchase of the . 405 Cabinets also allows you to have custom-made cabinet to fit my project. Dang also gave me the tour to the Cabinet factory adjacent to the showroom. I witness high-quality precision equipments and high-quality wood/material used for the cabinet. In summary, I highly recommend 405 Cabinets if you are looking for quality Cabinet, superb service, and affordable price. I definitely will return to 405 Cabinets and Stone in Fountain Valley for my next project! read more

I had a great experience here! I recently purchased a mirror, and the selection was excellent. What really stood out, though, was the customer service. Sue was incredibly kind, friendly, and helpful during both of my visits. She took the time to answer my questions, made me feel welcome, and never made me feel rushed. It's rare to come across someone who genuinely cares about providing great service, and Sue definitely does. Because of her, my experience was outstanding, and I wouldn't hesitate to come back or recommend this place to others. I had a good experience overall with my white oak cabinets and nano countertop. Both are high quality and look fantastic. There were a few issues during the countertop installation, but the 405 team was responsive and committed to resolving them. Ken deserves special recognition for taking ownership, following through, and making sure everything was completed promptly and to my satisfaction. I also want to thank Pauline for her patience during the design phase. She was a pleasure to work with and made the entire process much more enjoyable. read more

Working with Michael was honestly one of the best parts of our cabinet project. From day one, he was patient, easy to talk to, and never made us feel rushed when we had questions or needed time to make decisions. What really stood out was how knowledgeable he is. You can tell he has a lot of experience and genuinely knows cabinetry inside and out. He paid attention to every little detail and always made sure everything looked balanced, symmetrical, and well thought out. I also appreciated that he didn't just focus on making things look nice; he took the time to understand how we would actually use the space. He found the perfect balance between functionality and design, so the cabinets are both beautiful and practical. If you're looking for someone who is professional, detail-oriented, and truly cares about delivering quality work, I highly recommend Michael. We couldn't be happier with the final result. read more

We came to 405 Cabinets to buy a vanity/counter/sink combo and were very pleased with our experience! The warehouse has a large selection of "off the shelf" inventory and we found a piece that was perfect for our project. Priscilla went above and beyond in helping us to get the perfect piece selected from their warehouse as the color variation in the wood finish seemed to vary with the showroom models. Highly Recommend! read more

Purchased my kitchen cabinets from them back in 2013. It's been over 10 years and I still love them. Cabinets still work great and look great. I'm here today because one of my drawers rail broke. Sales rep Misu has helped me get a replacement part. Super helpful. read more

The showcase was wonderful. It provided amazing designs with many different options for kitchens and bathrooms and showers. But what was even better was our designer we worked with Misu. Once we had decided color and type she went to work to create a beautiful rendering of our whole new kitchen including island. There were amazing options such as glass window doors, in drawer sliding utensil drawers, lazy susan's that were extremely wide and matching molding and pillars that gave a much richer look to the kitchen space. Thx again to Misu!!! read more

I've spent quite a bit of time drafting and designing our dream kitchen on our own, but thankfully Tri (Antony) helped turn those ideas into reality. From cabinet colors, countertop stone selections, handles, and overall design details, he was incredibly patient and knowledgeable throughout the process. He listened to what we wanted, offered practical suggestions, and helped us make decisions without ever making us feel pressured. In fact, we were so satisfied with the final design that we decided to move forward within just two days. One thing that really stood out was the showroom itself. It's spacious, welcoming, and filled with many of the most popular styles for kitchens, bathrooms, and home remodeling projects. Being able to see and compare everything in person made the design process much easier. The entire team was also fantastic. Everyone worked together seamlessly, and the atmosphere felt genuinely collaborative. Unlike some places where you feel like everyone is competing for commission, the staff here seemed focused on helping customers find the best solution and making sure customers felt comfortable throughout the process. Another reason we chose them was the value. Their materials were very competitively priced, and from everything we've heard through friends, family, and other homeowners, the quality and durability of their products are outstanding. It gave us confidence that we were not only getting a beautiful design but also investing in something built to last. As a Vietnamese American, I also felt a special sense of pride working with this team. It's inspiring to see members of the Vietnamese community build successful businesses through hard work, integrity, and genuine care for their customers. They came here, worked together, and poured their hearts into helping families create spaces they love. "Making your home feel a heartbeat" truly reflects the experience we had. They didn't just help us select cabinets and countertops--they helped bring warmth, personality, and life to the vision we had for our home. A huge thank you to Tri (Antony) and the entire team. We can't wait to see the finished result and would highly recommend them to anyone looking to transform their home. read more

My wife and I very rarely leave bad reviews. This situation calls for a bad review to serve as a warning about the customer service and about the painted cabinets from 405 (specifically Venetian Cream cabinets, which is the most expensive line). This review has nothing to do with our designer Stacy. She was so helpful in helping our vision come to life, and she is so patient and kind. Our main concerns are with the quality control for Venetian Cream and the customer service we received regarding our concerns with quality control. When cleaning the pantry faces, with water and a microfiber cloth, lots of small paint particles pill off of the pantry panels of the Venetian Cream cabinets (see attached media). We did a gentle cleaning initially of just a towel and water, and noticed bits of paint pilling. Kent came to investigate the problem. When we first brought up the concern, he began laughing and assured us that it was not possible. He asserted that it was just lighting and there was not a problem. When we showed him a picture of the problem, he then asserted it was dust. When we recreated the problem with a paper towel, he claimed that the pilling material was paper towels. When we recreated the problem again with a dark microfiber cloth and water, and proved that it was not paper towels, he then asserted that it was dust again. We weren't looking for a refund or any compensation. We just wanted a reason and solution as to why paint was peeling off the cabinets. When asked for a solution, Kent said, "I have been doing this for 20 years, and I have no solutions. If you can give me a solution, then give me that solution. But I don't see a problem, it's just dust." His final solution was to go to Home Depot to look at other cheap cabinets to show that 405 cabinets are better than what is at Home Depot, which does not solve our concerns. Every time we brought up a concern, he yelled over us and laughed at us. After wiping the same spot for 10 minutes to show that paint was peeling off the pantry side panel, he still continued to maintain that the pilling material was dust and lighting dependent. He was so condescending he made my wife cry. It was implied by 405 after Kent came to our house that the pilling material maybe styrofoam or dirt. Styrofoam does not peel off cabinets (as peeling was shown in the video), and dirt is not ivory colored (as shown in the media). I attached a picture of actual dirt on my finger for reference. We truly do believe that the material pilling off of the cabinet is the paint, no matter how much we were gaslit to believe that it is paper towels, dust, dirt, styrofoam, and just a case of bad lighting. Additionally, we are getting the exterior of our house painted by a local, family owned, small painting business, who does interior and exterior painting. We asked the owner of the company and the foreman on our project their opinion as to what the pilling material is. After watching us recreate the problem, they agreed that it is definitely paint coming off the pantry faces. They said that it was very likely that the paint used on the drawers and the paint used on the pantry sides were different paints. The paint used on the pantry sides is very likely not "cabinet-grade" paint that can be regularly wiped clean, which is what was causing the pilling on every pantry side. However, they did agree with 405 that there is no ideal solution. So, we will just never clean the pantry faces. Regardless, the Venetian Cream cabinets have several visual flaws. The lines accentuating the face of the drawers and doors do not match up (please see attached). The seams are visible in several drawers (as seen in the video). Paint is pilling off some of the drawer faces and leaves behind a very textured surface on those drawers (seen in the video). We cannot in good faith recommend these Venetian Cream cabinets, or any other painted cabinets from 405. I have major concerns with a pantry panel that is pilling paint being right next to where I cook. To spend almost 20k on kitchen cabinets alone (excluding installation and hardware), to have paint peeling off of them, lines not matching up, and several imperfections, and THEN to have such a condescending customer service interaction is absolutely unacceptable. We asked for touch-up paint in the Venetian Cream color. Instead of providing a can of paint, they poured some in a water bottle, which leaked everywhere (see attached photo). 405 also offered us 4 ft by 8 ft skin panels that we would have to cut to size ourselves to cover the impacted areas. However, if you are willing to take the risk on the customer service team, I would go with the Whiskey Royale stained cabinets, or any other stained cabinets from 405. We have had no problems with the Whiskey Royale cabinets in our bathroom (as those are stained, NOT painted). I would also recommend working with Stacy as a designer, as she is very talented, patient, and helpful. read more
