One day for drop-off of materials and the other day for installation. While the finished product is solid and I'm pleased, this experience lacked the polish of our first two installs. The "bummers" included the team arriving fairly late, almost 1-2 hrs than planned. Installation didn't finish in the one day we were scheduled. It took them 3 days and they weren't consecutive, so it took more like 3 weeks. The team didn't install pads on furniture, like the other installs, and it resulted in deeply scratched boards that had to be pulled up and replaced again. Thankfully we had extra material. The good that was appreciated included well cut corners for the kick board, took accountability for the scratches and fixed without a fight, and agreed to install a very small piece of footboard we didn't originally have in place. Note: pay by check to avoid any credit card fees. My husband paid the deposit with a credit card, which I asked him not to do, so they credited the card and let me pay the full amount by check. If you're considering flooring I do recommend you call them. We have gotten quotes easily and quickly, which is the first step in project planning. Knowing what to budget is half the battle.

The walls are full of ideas, manufacturers, styles and colors. I felt creative and inspired right away. A gentleman working outside of the showroom recommended we sign in to reserve a space in line (if we wanted to speak with a design consultant). We didn't at first but after seeing so many options and narrowing down a few choices, we put our names down. The wait gave us plenty of time to continue walking the showroom and finding more things we liked. A design consultant took information down about our choices, to confirm tile sizes available and if we could get a quick turnaround on delivery. She also asked about our kitchen space (cabinets, flooring, etc.) after hearing we were interested in a color. As a general rule kitchen backsplashes are often neutral, which I appreciate, but my kitchen is vomiting neutral and I need a pop of color. It was worth every penny to remove the beige/brownish tile we inherited from the previous owners. We were able to check out a panel to take home and liked it immediately. (My husband moved it every couple of hours to a new spot in the kitchen!) Ordering is more permanent here -- no returns, so make sure you like what you get and don't over order the supply. Freight is also charged which is not what we experienced elsewhere. Grout options and silicone were also available for order, which we added to the order. Tile arrived as promised and we paid at pick-up. Excited to complete our backsplash! Mees Tile will certainly be at the top of our list for future tile and flooring purchases.
