My husband and I used Mees for a project at our previous residence. When we went in for assistance with tile at our current home, we were in there for quite some time with absolutely no acknowledgement. I would understand if they were busy, but there were multiple employees available. We walked out and purchased tile for multiple rooms elsewhere. After having little luck getting a tile order fulfilled elsewhere, my husband and I stopped by Mees Tile & Marble. This store specializes in design and custom tile orders. The walls are full of ideas, manufacturers, styles and colors. I felt creative and inspired right away. A gentleman working outside of the showroom recommended we sign in to reserve a space in line (if we wanted to speak with a design consultant). We didn't at first but after seeing so many options and narrowing down a few choices, we put our names down. The wait gave us plenty of time to continue walking the showroom and finding more things we liked. A design consultant took information down about our choices, to confirm tile sizes available and if we could get a quick turnaround on delivery. She also asked about our kitchen space (cabinets, flooring, etc.) after hearing we were interested in a color. As a general rule kitchen backsplashes are often neutral, which I appreciate, but my kitchen is vomiting neutral and I need a pop of color. It was worth every penny to remove the beige/brownish tile we inherited from the previous owners. We were able to check out a panel to take home and liked it immediately. (My husband moved it every couple of hours to a new spot in the kitchen!) Ordering is more permanent here -- no returns, so make sure you like what you get and don't over order the supply. Freight is also charged which is not what we experienced elsewhere. Grout options and silicone were also available for order, which we added to the order. Tile arrived as promised and we paid at pick-up. Excited to complete our backsplash! Mees Tile will certainly be at the top of our list for future tile and flooring purchases. read more

I am surprised news stays in business. I have talked to multiple contractors and individuals who do not recommend them. I visited their store but was ignored by the 5 people behind the counter for over 30 minutes. I walked out. Multiple acquaintances had the same experience. They too walked out. read more

Updated with pics! My counter tops came out PERFECT! Dan's measurements were spot on, and my table top counter is fantastic! The installers were on time, knowledgeable and polite. I went back and looked at remnants for my pantry, and was so lucky to find enough of a dark Silestone! Ruth was amazing to work with, once again, and the installation was equally pleasant. Several years ago I had Mees Granite install nearly $2000.00 in a tiny galley kitchen. They came to laser measure and took the sink to cut the slab. When it came time to install, they brought sink back but the slab sink hole was not properly. Being the nice person I am i accepted them piecing the granite together because wwmy timeframe was tight, instead of demanding a new slab be cut. Fast forward, now the front apron piece has come loose and they want me to Pay $350 to glue it back - truthfully about 10 minutes worth of work and 10 cents worth of glue. I am soooooo disappointed that this company wont stand behind their work. I will never ever use them again. When their measurements would not work They tried to blame me - fully their failing. Now they will not stand behind their work which in my view was substandard!!!! read more

I had a bathroom remodel and purchased marble top and noticed one has tiny chip in it. I called and asked if they could fix it and they said no. I would never buy from them again since they cannot back their product. They did not install it my reputable remodeler did so that's why they won't offer a solution. Thank goodness it's a tiny chip and not to visible. read more

Exceptional service and advice. Beautiful tile selection. Truly can't recommend highly enough.

First off, I went there just to get a small 2 foot x 4 inch piece of marble to use as a shelf in my kids bathroom where we built a recessed & tiled area in the new walk in shower. I didn't know exactly what I was looking for but explained to the lady working at the counter what I needed. She helped me figure out all that I needed and took me back into their warehouse and let me pick my own piece! It was super cool to get to do that and it was super cool of her to take the time to explain things to me and then let me pick my own piece.I always feel like when I need something small that people won't take the time with me but Mees did and I appreciate that. I will definitely be going back when I redo my master bathroom! read more

Just finished building a house and used Mee's Tile for all our tile and granite. We couldn't be happier with everything!!! Their prices are great, their salespeople (Becky and Libby) were so knowledgeable and patient with us, and their selection is huge! Would highly recommend to anyone building, remodeling, any project big or small. They also had a great remnant selection to find great bargains for smaller areas. Do not use their "recommended" tile installers. Mees tile recommended Shane Woods of Innovative Tile Llc and I can not stress how unprofessional Shane and his "help" were. We now have a tiled shower that must be completely redone due to numerous issues. read more

Needed to purchase marble for fireplace I was redoing. Absolutely no one acknowledged us at all. Left and went straight to Lowes.

This place has no service skills at all, walked thru the ENTIRE showroom and was never acknowledged by the 10ish employees I passed, to include the old man that cut me off to grab a post and the receptionist at the entrance. Customer service is terrible. Greeted very rudely. Went in, person said they would be with us after finishing up with another person, so we walked around. Two other people came in and they immediately started helping them. We walked out. Too many other places to shop. If they are too busy, they should have more help, but do not blatantly help one person over the other. read more

I've been very pleased with Mees. They installed soapstone counters in my kitchen and Carrara marble in my master bath. Both jobs went seamlessly and the crews were very friendly. I also found the prices to be the best in town. I'm planning on adding another bath, and they will be my first choice for the flooring and tiles. read more

Spent close to $30,000 with them and when we encountered issues with the product, we were left to deal with the vendor/s our self. All they do is sell the product, new or old technology, with no technical support. Even if they did, do not expect them to stand behind what they sell or to help you. Try Dal-Tile, a national chain, who I am sure would stand behind what they sell. What a disappointment it was dealing with this shop. read more

I am disappointed at the service I received. We ordered some tile from Mees that was also a display on their floor. I was advised by their staff to check it out before it was installed and failed to follow through. Lesson learned! I was not home when my contractor installed the tile and he installed several pieces that were defective. The finish was not anything like it looked in the store. Their policy is not to make any refunds on tile that is already installed. I did bring back an opened full box that had some tiles that looked like the defective ones that were installed and was told that they should not look that way. They did call the manufacturer to see if they have had any problems with defects. The manufacturer told them no. Seems to me if it was my business regardless of whether or not the tile was installed I would work to get a free replacement for the defective tiles or offer some type of compensation from the manufacturer because the tile was defective. Otherwise the staff was very friendly and helpful. Just make sure to look at your tile beforehand. read more

I went to Mees Tile and Marble looking for ideas for a kitchen remodel. I went to the location to look into counter tops and was absolutely amazed at the selection. They stock so many colors that made the choices overwhelming. I was very pleased by the level of knowledge that the employees there had. The ladies in the showroom were accommodating and actually helped me to find a remnant that would work for my space. Most companies would have tried to over sale and suggest items that were truly not needed. This was definitely not the case at Mees. After choosing my counter top material I was advised to go to their tile showroom and there were ladies that could provide design help to get my project completed. The ladies at the tile showroom were just as knowledgeable. I was able to get everything that I needed at a very reasonable price. I would recommend this company for any remodel for tile and counter tops!!! read more

During the renovation of our kitchen three years ago, our contractor used Mees Tile and Marble to make and install new granite counter tops on our cabinets. Now, three years later, we have a fracture in the granite top in front of our sink. It has been diagnosed by two different sources as a stress fracture due to an improper installation (unleveled surface, raised on one end). A representative from Mees visited after several phone calls and said someone from the store would contact us about the fracture. During the ensuing three months, we've heard nothing from them and involved our original contractor. He reports that Mees has not returned any of his phone calls during the past two weeks, either. Apparently, there is no written guarantee from Mees on materials or installation. We are now faced with replacing the 43 sq. ft. of counter top on our own but will have a 15 yr warranty from a different company.
