I can't say enough good things about this place. When you first arrive you have to ring a doorbell to get in, personally I loved this because it made me feel extra safe. I was greeted by Rachel, she was so warm and helpful through checking in and then pointed to their wine and cheese happy hour (wonderful touch after a long day). I arrive, had to wait to be let in! Check in, go to my room & just want to relax cause its 4am! Turn TV on.. all you see is the light flick on but nothing & shows lines & etc bottom left corner! Tell the guy, writes my room # as if there's many rooms in this damn atrocity & claims will tell maintenance! Get up a few hrs later to get ready for the parade, notice there's an ironing board...NO IRON! There's a safe box....but its locked & DOESNT WORK! Relay that on my way out, come back no iron! Get back around 3pm, lady working now! I tell her about all 3 things..She tells me NONE of the safe boxes work lol says she'll get an iron for me & maintenance is around, will have him come look! At this point, im over it & said that my room needs prorated! You dont have the amenities available, you over charge taking advantage of the parade, $400 for not even a full 2 days! What if I wanted to watch the parade on TV.. I wouldn't of been able to! Didn't offer another room, there's a sign in the room about virtual front desk assistant guest.kasa.com & guess what....DOESNT WORK! Location is great. This is called a boutique hotel but felt more like a hostel. Went out late night to get something to eat and couldn't get back in. There is only a ring camera so I had to wait for someone to answer the door. So no key to the lobby. The room needs a good cleaning. The room is nice but there are hairs everywhere. Hairs are embedded in the towels, they're on the floor, in the shower, & in the bed. Price seems fair - if clean ~$150 for the night. I travel with my own sleeping bag & will again use my own towel. DO NOT STAY HERE. 414 Hotel was the worst decision we ever made. The sheets were covered with pubic hair. The window would not lock. Room 404 did not have a heater and it was 20 degrees outside. There were no towels at all because they have no house cleaning. Have fun drying yourself off with your own clothes. The room itself was ready 2 hours late. When we brought all of this to their attention, we asked for a refund. Reluctantly, they gave us a refund. At the time, I thought he was comping our room for the terrible service, but it was actually just our money back, so we were woken up at 1am with banging on the door. Miscommunication I suppose. Traumatized. Calling the health department after this review. I pray you do not make the same mistake as us. Do not give these people your money. read more

This is literally the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. The staff was unhelpful and not accommodating at all. Our room was dirty along with the filthy stairs and lobby. There were no towels or shower curtain. When we asked they said they couldn't do anything until the maid came in the next day. One lamp did y work. The shower itself had mold on the wall and didn't work with horrible water pressure. The pictures in the add are not at all what the room looked like. This hotel is a complete scam. I booked a "Double Queen Suite" on Priceline and checked in very late after working all day in the over 100-degree summer heat. When I arrived around 1:00am, the front desk attendant led me to a dingy little room literally off the lobby, with a set of bunk beds, a small bathroom, and a desk fan that barely did anything. If there was air conditioning, it was hardly functioning. The room was bare, hadn't been swept, and had zero amenities, let alone any of the amenities explained in the listing. I immediately told the guy at the front desk this wasn't what I booked. He claimed there was a "major plumbing issue" and that's why I had to stay there. At nearly 1:30am, exhausted, I just accepted it. Thankfully, nobody was in the other bunk, because I purposefully booked this hotel to not have to share a room or anything. After looking into it, I saw other reviews mentioning the same "plumbing issue" excuse. It's clearly a pattern they use to scam guests by either downgrading them or completely canceling their stay. I'm convinced the photos online are either stock images or heavily edited, because I don't believe rooms of that quality would be in this hotel. I received no compensation, apology, or even an offer of a discount despite paying for a much nicer room. If I had wanted something this basic, I would have paid less money and stayed in a hostel. Don't book here. Upon arrival, the front desk staff (Mary, I believe) told us we could leave our bags there until check in time at 3. When we came back one hour later, she told us we didn't have a reservation there. I looked down on her desk and saw my name written down and circled. I showed her my confirmation and booking details on my app, and she said "oh it was a system glitch", as she smiled and laughed. She asked where we were coming from (as if that mattered) and goes "let me see if I can cancel someone else's booking but if not there's nothing I can do call booking.com to relocate you". Why would this hotel cancel someone else on top of already cancelling ours? She said they overbooked and I should've got a cancellation email (never happened). She said she had none of our information to let us know ahead of time (not true). She also said they would pay for us to get relocated if I called booking.com. When I called they said that has never never done that in the past and they were so sorry they work with this hotel. And all they could do is give us a refund. Keep in mind during all of this is young lady is laughing and mocking us, as we were clearly upset that we got to NY with no place to stay. Once we were fed up enough to take our loss and book a new hotel, people leaving 414 told us we were better off in a new place. They showed us pictures of roaches, public hairs on the towels, and bugs on the bed. The people working here did not care that we were inconvenienced and clearly cancelled our booking to be able to charge more on another booking. It was such a disappointment and ruined the beginning of our trip and wasted a whole afternoon. Please, be willing to spend a bit more money and stay somewhere else. You get what you pay for at this hotel, truly. I've never been treated so horribly at a hotel. read more

I absolutely loved my stay here. They are a small little boutique business and they were so amazing. So sweet and helpful, the staff makes you feel at home. They have a wine and cheese social in the evening and then continental breakfast in the morning. Definitely locally owned and run, which I love supporting. It's in a quiet residential neighborhood of Hells Kitchen, away from the hustle and bustle of Times Square, but within easy walking distance (quarter mile), so it was perfect for me. I slept great. Honestly, I loved it and will definitely stay here again! read more

What an amazing find! I was looking for a hotel in a great location and this certainly fits the bill. Came in on the bus from Virginia and getting on a cruise ship the next day. The location of this hotel was a quick Uber ride from where the bus dropped me off and is about a mile from the cruise port. Not to mention, it is within a block of restaurant row. Its two blocks from Times Square and within a 20 minute walk of Rockefeller Center. Yet the hotel itself is quiet. I'm on the back of the building and hear very mild street noise. No elevator here, so if you have a lot of luggage and heavy stuff, you may choose to store it in their office on the first floor. Though the staff member who was on when I arrived offered to carry my large suitcase up three flights of stairs and that was tremendously appreciated. I'm on the 4th or top floor of the small boutique hotel. The hotel room is a large room, which is surprising for New York hotel standards. I got a queen size room, which is well furnished, warm and cozy. A nice sized bathroom with tub/shower. Plenty of tech gadgets adorn the room making it easy to charge multiple electronic items. The heat/AC is controlled via a remote control. The ceilings are high and though this has been refurbished over the years, it is certainly beautiful and quite a find. Rates for rooms are reasonable, especially by New York standards. I'm surprised I was able to find that they had room for me booking last minute. Oh, and they serve continental breakfast included with your room, as well as the ability to get a bottle of chilled wine upon your arrival, for free! The only catch is that you have to book through their website, which was easy and not a problem. I'm very, very impressed with this place and I will look to stay here again when I come back to NYC for a night or more. Highly recommend giving this place a try, you won't regret it! read more

I really liked the 414 Inn and stayed there in August 2008. Bedbug-free (I inspected very carefully - even though Tripadvisor had no reports of bedbugs there.) There was only a house number, "414," on the outside; no sign. The lobby was small and included two modern black leather chairs as well as three or four small circular tables, each with two red chairs. The decor was in slate grays, red, black and white. There is a motif of historic photos of NYC throughout the hotel, which was lovely. Breakfast was served from 7-10am and included coffee, tea, croissants and small bagels. The Inn has red and white plates and pretty red mugs (that can also be purchased) for the coffee as well as "to go cups" for coffee on the go. The room was small but clean. Amenities included crisp, white sheets, lightweight down comforter, a mini-fridge and window unit air conditioner. Service was prompt and good. The bathrooms had old-school small hexagonal tile in black-and-white, a white modern pedestal sink and standard shower. There was no closet, but there was a modern rack that easily held clothes that needed to be hung up. There was also a dresser for folded clothes, and two bedside tables. We were on the first floor, but I understand that there are third-floor rooms and no elevator. We also encountered noise as people went in-and-out of the courtyard. The brick-lined courtyard had pretty landscaping and cute tile tables that were of good quality. It was a pleasant space to sit outside and enjoy coffee in the morning. I recommend. read more

The 414 Hotel is in a GREAT part of NYC if you're an out-of-towner. You can walk to Times Square, Broadway shows, tons of restaurants/bars, and it's a quick cab ride to get anywhere. When you pull up to the front of the hotel, all you see is a very plain-looking red door with a 414 logo. That is it! If you didn't know about the place, you'd never notice it. It's a very European boutique-style hotel with nice rooms and a very inviting (but small) lobby. The lobby has a fireplace, a PC with internet, and a table for breakfast. The free breakfast is OK, but why eat a plain hotel bagel when you can walk to 20 local places that offer GREAT meals to start your day. Amy's Bread (one block away) is a great place to grab a quick bite and coffee. As mentioned in the other reviews, the main drawback of this place is the lack of an elevator. The stairs are very narrow and steep, so keep that in mind if you are elderly or disabled. Our room was on the 3rd floor, so it was a bit of a job to get our two huge suitcases up there. The staff did not offer to help, but I didn't ask for help. Not a big deal for me. Once in the room, I was very impressed. The rooms are small, but nice and clean. The bed was comfy and the bathroom was clean. The water-pressure was decent in the shower, and there is an iron in the closet. Our room faced 46th Street, so we were worried about the street noise, but it was never an issue. The hotel is on a fairly quite block, and the air-conditioner sound helped block out the sounds of the city. Overall I would recommend this place to a friend. So, I was sitting at the bench of the hotel patio area (along 46th Street) when a staff named Emmy rudely approached me and asked me to leave. I asked for a specific reason cause I'm not being loud or disrupting their place of business. All I'm doing is to sit there while on the phone minding my own business. Emmy asked if I'm a guest and I said I'm not. I tried to reason with her by explaining that almost every week I've always sat there around same time for about 5-10 minutes (every Tuesday) and I've never had any issues. However, Emmy said that since I'm not a customer, I am trespassing their property. I was upset cause it felt like she discriminated against me being a minority with an accent. Emmy made me realize how bias and prejudice is very much alive in 2019 even at at a place as diverse and liberal as New York City. While I understand where she's coming from as far as safety and liability is concerned, I just wish that Emmy (or any staff) could be nicer and more courteous. I hope that these review reach the 414 hotel management so that people and potential customers could feel welcome and respected in their premises regardless of their skin color or race. read more

My girlfriend and I planned a last minute trip to NYC and found the 414 Hotel on a travel website, and the rates were halfway decent since we were booking last minute and it was a weekend. We arrived and it was a cute little place. It was centrally located in Manhattan, close to the theatre district, times square, restaurants, and more. Everything we wanted to do was within walking distance, or we easily jumped in a cab down the street from the Hotel. The staff was great and even helped us pick out a few places to eat while we were there. I'd definetly stay here again the next time I'm in NYC. read more

My sisters and I stayed at the Marriott Fairfield Inn in Palm Beach Florida. When we got to our room and opened the door, the entire room smelled of mildew. The room "suite" as it was called, was located at the end of the hall, ground floor across from the gym and next to a glass exit door. The room smelled and we did not feel safe. We went back to the desk, bit they said they were sold out. The extra bed in the suite was actually a very old and uncomfortable fold-out sofa. It was terrible and very uncomfortable. All amenities were ver sparse and skimpy.Then, they called our room at midnight to tell us that we did not have a parking permit !!! Which we were never given !! The included breakfast was nice and staff was friendly-- but we will never stay here again, and certainly will not recommend it! read more

This is currently the #1 traveler rated hotel on Trip Advisor and it deserves it! I decided to write a review here as there are currently under 50, while Trip Advisor has over 1,300. Thank you Susan, Jacqui, Emmy and other staff members for the great stay. The best thing about this hotel is they actually care to learn your name, where you're from and why you're in the city, what your plans are for the day and how they turned out at the end of the day. You will not be treated like guest number 1,602, in room 812 of 935, here for days 162 to 165 of 2017. No, instead you will be a part of a small 22 room hotel that will feel like a community thanks to the staff and the hotel guests you will meet during the free breakfasts and happy hour. It will start to feel like home. Throughout the trip, I would say things like "When we get back home" when I meant to say "When we get back to the hotel." During breakfast, Susan and her crew will ask you how your prior day was. They will ask you what you have planned for the day, and if you tell them what you plan on doing, they will offer general tips and guidance on how to get there. For example, we told Susan we were planning on going to Central Park, and she told us she recommended taking the blue line to 72nd Street and then gave us her recommended route through Central Park. It was fantastic! You'll have a daily newsletter at your door giving you details on the weather, as well as tips on what to do on that day. For example, Friday's newsletter said the Museum of Modern Art is free on Friday evenings. On a sunny day it recommended walking the Brooklyn Bridge and on a rainy day, the newsletter had museum recommendations. A few weeks before arriving I asked Susan for Broadway recommendations and she recommended a musical called Come From Away, which my wife and I both loved. Susan was also aware that my wife and I were traveling to celebrate our wedding anniversary and they provided us with a free bottle of champagne and chocolates. On our last day at the hotel, another couple celebrating an anniversary was there and the couple's children brought out a similar gift provided by the hotel and the entire room of people having breakfast sang them a happy anniversary version of the happy birthday song. Another time, Susan asked one of her employees to make 7 more eggs as the eggs were running out and a different employee said that it should be doubled to 14 as multiple guests had still not come down for breakfast. It's the attention to small details like this that make the hotel such an awesome place to stay. You're not going to get a luxurious hotel room, but the room we stayed in was clean,quiet, had a comfortable bed, nice tv with multiple cable channels, and functioning AC. What it won't have are outrageous prices for daring to take a bottle or water or candy from the in-room refrigerator. Just $1 for whatever you take. My one gripe with the hotel? The door to our room was tough to close. Maybe it's because we didn't want to leave. read more

This place was absolutely perfect. All the reviews on trip advisor that gave it a five star were spot on. It's nothing special, but it is extremely friendly, clean and convenient. Happy hour in the evenings and some free breakfast. What more could you ask for?. Well how about a concierge that really knows what she's doing. Extremely helpful. Gave us detailed hand written instructions on what subway to take for where we were headed. Also called our car for us on the last day. And, we even left some clothes in the hotel room by accident and she quickly mailed them back to us. Amazing service. Location is awesome, tons of nice little hole in the wall restaurants within easy walking distance. Never felt unsafe walking the streets. First a warning . This is a 5 story hotel with NO elevator and steep stairs . It is also 3 star with only queens and good window AC's . No gym , business or meeting rooms . Now the rest - PERFECT ! Ideally located just a couple of blocks from the craziness of time square , this boutique hotel (24 rooms total) was an urban oasis . Rooms are comfortable , breakfast is included and the staff couldn't be more welcoming . We arrived at 10 and they offered us bottled water and stored our luggage . When we returned at 2 , they had placed our bag in our room and we checked in . Staff was always helping guests get tickets , reservations or dispensing travel advice . By NYC standards , very reasonably priced . Now the best - Social hour ! Every day at 5ish they serve up wine , beer , drinks as well as cheese and nibbles at no charge . We searched for a nice non chain hotel prior to heading to NYC for our first time. I stumbled upon the Yelp reviews and thought this place looked great. It was nice and quaint and reminded me of many of our stays in Europe. I couldn't be happier that we picked 414 Hotel for our anniversary trip. We'll definitely be back. The booking was pretty effortless, we filled out the information online and they got back to us within a day. When we showed up we had some beautiful swans made from the towels on the bed and a bottle of prosecco waiting for us. It's the little things that really stood out and how they genuinely care about the people staying. I loved the location, just a few blocks from Times Square, easy access to the subway. My wife and I walked everywhere, and were just very happy with where we were staying. It was raining while we were there and they had umbrellas to borrow if you didn't have your own gear. Susan and the rest of the staff were so knowledgeable and gave recommendations for places to go and things to try. It was also pretty great to find out that she was vegan herself and had vegan recommendations for places we should try. The breakfast and happy hour were really nice touches and it was fun to hang out in the lobby with other guests and really just get a family vibe going for it. Finally to top it off, a personalized thank you note when we got home was super special. All in all you really couldn't ask for a better place. read more

3 1/2 Stars, and I choose to round up in this case. It is hard for my non-NYC brain to compute $250/night for this hotel, but few things are less expensive in NYC. We were on the first floor, so the lack of elevator was not a problem. For my weekend getaway, little luggage was brought anyway, so walking up to an upstairs room wouldn't have been too bad. The neighborhood felt safe, and was within walking distance of most of the midtown attractions. Our room, while small, had a very comfortable bed, a refrigerate, and air conditioning that worked great. It was clean, bug free, and modern with a flat screen television. The free WiFi was strong in our room, and if you needed it, there was a public computer in the lobby. We didn't spent a lot of time in our room though, as NYC has too much to see to waste time in the room. There is some room for improvement though. We had forgotten a razor and toothpaste, neither of which the front desk had for complimentary or for a fee. I feel at $250/night, this is a small thing they could do as a convenience to forgetful travelers. Also, the door to the courtyard slams shut when customers come and go, which was very audible (enough to wake me from a dead sleep), and could easily be mitigated by installing a door closer. Finally, while they allowed us to leave our luggage in the lobby after checkout until we were ready to leave the city, I'd feel better if it was kept behind the desk or in a closet. All in all, I'd stay here again, although I'll probably try somewhere else if I can find a better deal. read more

ONE STAR - 000 if I could give that! ST. JAMES NOMAD HOTEL ON MADISON!!! BEWARE if you do not want to be ripped off! My account this morning was robbed by them, and they do not want to do anything about it, are not taking it seriously, and referring me to numbers that are not answering and denying me to speak with a Manager. IS THIS A WAY FOR A PRESIGIOUS NYC HOTEL TO DO BUSINESS??? YES OR NO? I say NO!!! WHERE DO I BEGIN???? How about BEWARE!!! I was having a happy Saturday morning until I tried to use my debit card which was rejected. I panicked and said why is this happening, I just got PAID yesterday! As an elderly and disabled woman trying to live on one paycheck after my divorce of 27 years, I was robbed of over $500 today, and they will try to commit theft on my account for ANOTHER $500+ tonight. Now my car payment is rejected, and after bills I am left with $29 to live on for the next TWO WEEKS. I WILL BE FILING A COMPLAINT ABOUT MY TREATMENT WITH BBB. Both I and Booking.com tried relentlessly to deal with them this morning until late afternoon. I have been given nothing but the runaround from the time I began calling. They claimed I am not in the system and it is not their fault. Why rob $500 from my checking account then?? I was told to call Booking.com com, who were LOVELY and tried desperately to help me. THEY could NOT get in touch with the hotel until I GAVE them the number that my bank gave me regarding the withdrawal. The wonderful lady from Booking.com tried her hardest to get in touch with St. JAMES MOMAD Hotel. NO ANSWER. I told her to try the number my bank gave me. She did, and after I waited 45 minutes for her to return to the line, Booking.com said she spoke with a Director of St. JAMES NOMAD finally, that said she looked the reservation up, said it was cancelled on AUGUST 5th, and admitted they should not have taken my money. Now, still, no reversal. I can go in my local $ General Store and get an immediate reversal let alone a prestigious hotel!! Ludicrous. WHO is hiring for this place. Are they educated? Are they trained? Lousy management skills and lousy help that cannot answer questions - TRIAIN YOUR PEOPLE. TRY paying your help more, and getting decent help for your $500 per night rooms. Although the theft from my account came directly from St. JAMES MOMAD Hotel, they denied they did it, and said Booking.com did it. So after bouncing around from phone call to phone call, I finally found the most wonderful representative and QUALIFIED, both in customer service and their business's knowledge protocol at Booking.com, I found out the deduction from my bank account would come from Amsterdam where Booking.com's major headquarter is, not the St. James NOMAD HOTEL had they done it. First lie the hotel told me. Second, I was told by a manager that there was no record that I had a reservation for Sept 20th or 21st 2019 in their system, 2nd LIE. So then: WHY WAS I ROBBED for over $500 from my checking account this morning by them?????? When Booking.com called them back with the number I had to give her, Nancy the Director said "Oh yes, here is the cancelled reservation in the database". Ok, you are WRONG - give me back my money!!!! Do the reversal you told Booking.com you said you were going to do! Furthermore, Nancy the Director, denied me ANY compensation for my returned car payment and other bills I was planning to pay with my paycheck which I got yesterday and NO APOLOGY, (ESSENTIALLY - TOUGH LUCK - ITS OUR FAULT AND WE DON'T GIVE A CRAP about the trouble we caused this woman. AND THEIR MISTAKE? IS THIS GOOD BUSINESS ETHICS??? PRESTIGIOUS HOTEL???? I THINK NOT!!!!!! On the other hand, Booking.com did all they could to rectify this, and felt so bad about what I was going through because of this hotel that they offered to compensate me one of the fees for $27, although it was not their responsibility to do so, where the hotel manager, Nancy, flatly said "NOT GIVING ANY BANK FUND reimbursements from overdraws". WOW! Now that's a good way to get a good name around town! I was done wrong and I am furious. Upper management - get qualified people - pay them more and maybe you will get competent and educated people that have good communication skills and don't just shrug off customers in trouble to numbers and extensions that don't work because they don't want to be bothered. Very furious over this mishandling of my situation. My advice upper to MANAGEMENT - take a good look how your hotel is being run by unqualified people, and maybe you won't have to see another review like this. read more

What a charming little secret in the heart of the city. Clean, modern, crisp boutique hotel on a tree-lined street of residential brownstones. It felt refreshing to stay in such a charming hotel after the hustle and bustle of NYC. Free Wi/fi, fresh croissants, bagels & muffins along with interesting travelers from around the world. Conversations at the rustic dining table in the lobby area were interesting and joyful. The staff was friendly, helpful and fun to engage with. Just steps to some fabulous restaurants, bars and of course Broadway shows. I would highly recommend this quaint hotel for your next NYC jaunt! read more

Quaint hotel with spacious rooms in Hell's Kitchen. Stayed here a few times while my apartment was being worked on, and I truly enjoyed my stay. Rooms are very clean, spacious for NYC. There's a beautiful courtyard in the back of the hotel. If I had to recommend a hotel in the area, this would be it! read more

First time staying at this hotel and overall found it an excellent pick; rooms were clean, beds comfortable, service exceptional, wifi fast and breakfast - although small - decent for continental. Midtown location of this property a big plus for business travelers and pleasure seekers alike. On biz last weekend at a Trade Conference held at the Javits Convention Center. Hoofed it there every a.m. No problem at all. As far as the property itself, I requested a quiet room when I checked in. Susan and Staff went out of their way to accommodate my request. Room was clean and comfy. Staff quite cordial and professional. Morning continental breakfasts and evening 'wine & cheese' offerings were nice touches that reenforced the impression one was staying at a boutique hotel and not at a corporate chain. The fact many of the other hotel guests hailed from various backgrounds and nationalities made our chats together in the common area all the more pleasant and interesting. Thank you, 414. read more

There are no ceiling fans or central air so it's too stuffy to keep all windows closed unless using AC in summer, and once the windows are open on any front-facing room the noise will be ridiculous, as will the smell of reefer emanating from the street below, which is hardly a pleasant or "quaint" view as advertised. Keep fit by traversing the very narrow and steep stairwells, and handling your own luggage. Staff on arrival said they could "take one up for me" - firstly, we had three pieces, secondly, although booking months in advance i got the fourth floor front instead of a quieter easier option, and finally it was clear the woman offering was not going to have a very easy time of it herself. Enjoy the long line of street people moving through the neighborhood to access St. Clement's Church food assistance across the street. They join the Turkish Bar next door in creating a lovely noise barrage. Again, not very "quaint". An inner courtyard room is the only way to go here, but i'd never stay again with so many other superior options. Though the neighborhood is somewhat regentrified, it's still midtown west side, and it's crappy. The claimed air of refinement and calm just isn't here. When full hot water is also a problem in the hotel. read more

414 Hotel provides intimate accommodations with great proximity to Times Square, and other main attractions in the city. The staff were all polite, attentive, and helpful during our stay. They held our baggage before check-in so that we could explore the city for the day. They had a wine and cheese reception, and breakfast was included. Not to mention, there is a really cute courtyard in the back for enjoying coffee or breakfast. Overall, a great experience. Recommend this to anyone! read more

This experience literally could not have been better. The owner, Susan, and the rest of the staff was very hands on and friendly. She spoke with us on every opportunity and was very helpful with directions and restaurant suggestions. There's a free social hour where they provide wine and cheese in the evening and a small free breakfast (both of which were a surprise to find in NY) .The room was bigger than most in New York and very intimate with only 22 rooms in the entire hotel. On top of this; it's within walking distance to Times Square and Fifth Avenue however still out if the way so that noisiness is not an issue. I don't think I've had a better hotel experience anywhere and would recommend it to anyone but especially couples looking for a nice intimate get away in New York. read more

We recently stayed at the 414 for the second time. The staff is outstanding and provide any needed assistance. The hotel is in a great location, easy walk to theatre, subway and restaurants. Great value. There was a notable cheapening of the social hour, now jug wines and beer. Previously there was a selection of whiskies. read more
