The wide variety of ice cream brands and flavors exceeds that of all the other options in the area. Come back often as the flavors do rotate and they're not always the same 44. Serving size is generous, the single scoop Is always enough for me. Pricing is fair especially given the quality of the ice cream itself. Definitely worth a stop! read more

This ice cream shop in West Bloomfield has a ton to offer. I've bought two cakes before from this shop before on two separate occasions, and they've both tasted great. I wanted to stop by to get a milkshake m, and figured why not just go all out and order their Milkshake Masterpiece. This milkshake is so over the the top that the guy behind the counter masked if I was sure because you can just get a regular shake or just a regular ice cream cone, but I figured I don't stop by this place often so why not go for it. There was a LOT going on here. First it was a strawberry milkshake, and on top of it was: a mini vanilla cup with green icing, brownie, red velvet cupcake, strawberry, sucker, gummy candy, cookie, fruit roll up, and whip cream. Im Im sure there were more calories in this thing to last you three days worth of meals + the sugar intake was through the roof! But it all tasted amazing. I was very eager to come here when I heard the original owner rebranded. I believe the same owner ran the 31 flavors. We had ordered several custom cakes from him in the past. They were all really wonderful. We had the Halloween cake with the hidden candy in the middle, and even a custom dog cake he created that was not on any order form, so I wanted to continue to support a local businessman, especially one who was always really great to customers and, really listened to what they wanted, and worked hard at creating something fun to bring home. Now instead of Baskin Robins ice cream they carry Guernsey ice cream, Brown Dog, and Maggie Moos. We all got a kid double scoop in a waffle cone. The cone tasted fresh and was good. I really liked the Zoreo ice cream, which was super dark chocolate and Oreos. The owner told us he changes up the offerings everyday and has a lot of unique flavors along with the classics. There was a steady line of customers which was very good for a weekday afternoon. I did not get a chance to look at the ice cream cakes or ask about the fancy shakes but the children would like to come back and explore the menu, so perhaps we can get something new on the next trip over here. read more

I'm not sure what they hype is about. They don't make their own ice cream (most of it is from Guernsey, which I like) and there's nothing special about the place itself. Their servings are extremely small: one scoop is literally the size of a small ice cream scoop, just the one ball, no exra "padding" at all -- and it's over $4! You get a pint of house-made frozen custard at Culver's for that price! I've been to several ice cream places over the last week, and this was the least impressive and most expensive for what I received. read more

This is truly one of my favorite ice cream places. We drive a decent distance to come to this location. The owner is one of the kindest people. My three kids like to try a lot of the flavors and she helps them with such a great smile and cheerful disposition. This trip I ordered the chocolate covered strawberry with the kitty kitty bang bang...the kitty kitty bang bang is my favorite by far! All in a waffle cone bowl. My kids all got a cake cone with cotton candy. My partna got a coffee milkshake with his chosen ice creams. Everyone left very happy. :) read more

So, I was on this side of town for the weekend and was in the mood for some ice cream since it was so hot outside. I was being fussy about what I actually wanted and how far I was going to drive to get to it. I thought I would try something different since I didn't feel like DQ or Coldstone. This place was close, and even though I secretly wanted soft serve ice cream, I wasn't willing to drive very far to get it. Walking in, the place is small, but has a nice selection of ice cream to choose from. (44 flavors to be exact. LOL). Staff here was friendly and helpful, and they offered me free samples in case I wanted to try anything. After spending a few minutes grazing, I went with the chocolate chip cookie dough. I over did it and went with two scoops, which was a lot! What a nice relief to get 2 scoops of ice cream for $6 on a hot day. Also, after talking with the staff, they said that they rotate flavors on a regular basis, so you could come back here and probably try something new each time, which is a bonus. A great ice cream shop and very convenient to me. I have had two ice cream cakes from 44 Scoops and both were amazing. The cakes have a layer of cake at the bottom, a thick layer of creamy ice cream and a layer of cream topping. My sister said that the "Death by Chocolate" was the best ice cream cake she ever had; everyone at the party agreed. The vanilla cake was equally good. I had two flavors of ice cream which were very good -- way better than the Baskin-Robbins that the former ice cream parlor at that location served. Overall, an excellent and highly recommended shop. read more

We came upon 44 Scoops by pure happenstance. I am always up for a good ice cream or ice cream shop, so we decided to visit this place! As soon as we walked in we were greeted by an extremely friendly guy. He knew a lot about the ice cream they were serving, and it was called Chocolate Shop Ice Cream Company. (Also Guernsey) We sampled a bunch of flavors, which he was more than happy to share with us! The ice cream was really tasty and our favorite was the smores...Most of us ordered the waffle cones and we thought the cone could've been thicker, as it was breaking pretty easily. Place is a joke barely have any selections they should call at 10 scoops instead of 44 scoops... The owner is a creep,Same owner as when it was 31 flavors. He wasn't wearing a mask and was talking over my ice cream as he was scooping it. Clean store and tasty treats for sure. They use quality ice cream like Guernsey, not the cheap stuff. Mr Neal served up our family right before closing time. We never like to walk in right at closing time, but in this case is about 30 min before. Working the counter as one person and making several orders is time consuming but he did it with a friendly attitude and made my kids feel welcomed. read more

I never thought I would find an ice cream place that compares to cold stone but here I am! This place was recommended to us while dining at mene sushi (same owners) i sampled many flavors and decided on their birthday cake remix. I had it made into a masterpiece which is a milkshake with a ton of delicious toppings! The staff was extremely knowledgeable and helpful! Highly recommend this place! Old Baskin Robbins...not very creative with name. Multiple ice cream flavors and all ice creams are from different creameries such as Guernsey as well as a few others. Wouldn't go out of my way to come here as there is nothing overly special. Maybe a different ice cream flavor or two that you haven't tried before but that is about it. read more

This place has gone downhilll. I ordered a flight of 4 scoops. They were almost 1/2 the size as usual. Each scoop was about 2 -3 bites of ice cream. And it was sandy which means it's old. Very disappointed. read more

The owner "Neal" was extremely rude to my family. He said we weren't allowed to order mint chip but wouldn't say why. He just shook his head no. We decided to get other flavors which he was fine with. He had a bad temper and was very harsh when we were paying because we were using MasterCard. "Neal" was not helpful at all and is one of two reasons I will not return. The second reason being the poor quality of ice cream. It is just plain bad. Maybe it would be better if he let us get mint chip. Would not recommend! read more

I'd like to give 0 stars; but it isn't an option. This place has some of the best ice cream around; but the service is terrible. Both times I've been there, the middle aged man working has been condescending and rude. The ice cream is so good and the service is so bad that I've driven the twenty minutes there in the hopes that someone else is working only to turn around when it's been the same guy. If this is the owner, he needs to leave the service industry. If it's an employee, I hope the owner sees this review. read more

pretty solid, the milkshake was thick and delicious and it looked beautiful with an amazing assortment of sweet toppings and the cup looked great too but for around thirteen bucks there wasn't much actual shake it's definitely only for special occasions as it's hard to find myself being okay spending that much on a shake. read more

I wish the employee would have worn gloves when he scooped the ice cream. As well as when he grabbed a cone....In the past, I've walked out of ice cream parlors whenever I saw an employee's fingers or knuckles brush against the ice crem while they reached down for a scoop. But since I promised everyone ice cream, and I brought my whole family in; I had no choice but to stay and go along with it. read more

Understaffed and over priced. Took 40 minutes to make 3 banana splits and two shakes and get 3 scoops on a cone. By the time they finished our order the splits were completely melted. Menu online does not match. Not likely we will be back. read more

If you have a question, you'll learn a little extra :) also very good brands of ice cream and friendly towards food allergies (nuts and dairy: just let the staff know and they'll happily work with you! Love this place. It is the same owner as the previous store-Baskin Robbins. He's very accommodating and nice. They carry Brown dog, which I LOVE! We can walk there which is dangerous. Good family place....Prices are not cheap. But I'll still go there! read more

They now carry Browndog ice cream. I had the Bee Keeper and would get it again. My child had their cotton candy ice cream and was ecstatic. Aside from that, the owner is friendly and I hope they continue to do well. With COVID, many places are impacted. read more

My fiancé and I have been to several cake shops for our wedding and have very particular goals. Their staff is completely dedicated toward getting it right. I guarantee I'll be getting more cake there. Ask for a yellow cake, mixed berry filling, with pomegranate/raspberry/strawberry. Mmmmm!!

The cakes are perfect! The latest creation we had made was for my daughter's baptism. We did a marble batter with vanilla mousse filling on the bottom tier. The top tier was the PC original, which is vanilla batter with vanilla mousse filling and fresh fruit. They were delicious! My guests asked for pieces to take home! I've worked with Hala and met Liz at the shop. They are both friendly and easy to work with. I highly recommend Paradise Cakes; they'll make a delicious, beautiful cake for you like they have done for me over the years.
