Horrible. Came to this place because of the reviews but when I got there, there was a sign saying they were under new management. I still went in and they took me right away. The lady was nice but I got a fill with gel. When I left it didn't even look like I had gotten the fill! Also, the gel polish was clumpy and super thick! I would post a picture but I already got them fixed at another place (US Nails and Spa in Fontana, the best by the way.) when I went to get my nails fixed at the other place, my nail lady said she was surprised I had just gotten a fill yesterday cause it looked like my nails had grown a week. So we came here the day before my sisters wedding to all get pedicures together and the staff made us all feel incredibly uncomfortable from the start. The water in all pedicure bowls were cold, we had an appointment and still had to wait for chairs to be available. One of the ladies working, Nina, was beyond rude to us. She was practically yelling at the girl to put her feet in the cold water and was demanding her whenever she asked to do something. A pedicure is supposed to be relaxing, especially the day before a wedding and we did not feel the way at all. The entire atmosphere was not at all what you would expect at a salon, the staff did not make anyone who walked in the door feel welcome and it also seemed that it didn't matter if you had an appointment or not. Place is nearby, small, relaxing and clean. I went in on a Monday at about 2pm and got helped in about 10 mins. The first thing I noticed is that a regular pedicure is $17 which is pricey BUT I think it worth it because it come with a little hot stone massage and sea salt scrub. Con to the pedicure part is that the woman who did it had VERY shaky hands which made me nervous when she used the tools. Luckily I did not get cut or anything. I also got a gel manicure from the manager Kevin. He was nice and did a good job. The only con to this part was that he left some space at the bottom of my nail so it looks like my nails already grew out a bit. Hope that makes sense. My daughter found a coupon at her place of employment so we thought we'd give this place a try. At first we were a little worried sincere they told us they were new owners. Must say that these girls are awesome they speak English they actually talk to my daughter and me. I'm super bummed. The girls are great but the main guy who seems to be the manager is absolutely awful. Last time he didn't my nails he was burning me the whole time with the drill. I told him he's hurting me and he said "I know" and laughed. I asked him to stop for a second and he said "it's a drill it's going to hurt" and kept going. This time I walked in and was lucky enough to get one of the ladies to do my nails and she was wonderful but when I was paying he came up and charged me 41$ for a fill with clear polish and a pedicure. Last time I was there it was 38$ for the same thing. I asked him why it's going up and he said "I don't know" laughed and walked away from me. The lady next to me got a gel pedicure and gel color fill and she only paid 35$. I'm so angry and feel so disrespected. I will never go back here. Obviously he's sketchy. read more

Today was my first time here and I can't say I was happy. They did a terrible job with filing my nails! All my nails turned out uneven and with different shapes. At some point I filed my own nails, which is something I really hate doing; hence why I go to a nail salon to get it done. My friend and I walked in on Saturday afternoon at about 2:30. I wanted a mani/pedi and she wanted a full set. There were a few people waiting, so the technician asked if we could wait about 20 minutes. No problem! Except that 20 minutes turned into an hour and 20 for me (only working on the pedi) and after 1:45, my friend was still sitting there waiting. She left, and I canceled the mani. I understand that they are busy, but they should set accurate expectations. I don't care how good they are. I went in today for a fill.. And upon walking in..the staff was not friendly and no one greeted you. Ethan the owner looked irritated when asking what i needed. The place also did not look clean. Ethan did my nails and rushed through them and didn't seem happy. This is the worst and overpriced nail salon in Riverside!!! If you want to go to a salon and feel relaxed...this is not the one. Used Yelp to find a nail place in Riverside. Since 4H Nails has good reviews, I gave it a try. I was not disappointed...great service. I thought I had found a place to go to regularly. My second experience was quite different. I called a week in advance to make an appointment for a manicure and pedicure, and then called the day before to confirm (busy season at work and baby at home). It was obvious when I showed up that my appointment time would not be honored as the place was busy and all nail technicians were busy (and there were two more people waiting). I waited 10 minutes before asking about my estimated service time. I was told it would be 45 minutes. After I reminded her about my appointment, one of the ladies nonchalantly said, "yes, I remember you but we're busy." Given my tight schedule and a weekend wedding, I had no choice at that point than to wait (rather than trying finding another place in such short time window). Needless to say to say, I don't foresee any future visits. If a nail place is too busy to honor appointments, it's best not to give that option. Instead of coming with false assumptions, it would be best to know that if I need a service it would be on a first-come first-serve basis. A quick apology could've done some damage control. I did appreciate the one apology at the very end after paying by one of the ladies who did my service. read more

I have my manicure/pedicure done on a regular basis and 4H Nails is by far the worst and most expensive salon I have ever used. First, they do not know how to successfully do Ombre. Second the lady over used the filing machine and ruined my nails (she left my nails thin and now my nails are weak.) They over charged me, so I asked the manager to itemized my bill and he was not happy. When he itemized my charges I was charged for every single thing and I was still over charged $9.00 he had to reimburse me. The worst nail salon experience ever. read more

This is the dirtiest salon I have ever been in. They reused instruments and files from other customers. I had callous remover service. The nail tech took out a used piece of plastic wrap, unfolded it and placed it on my foot with more product. The lady next to me her girl got up and came back with new piece of plastic wrap. This nail place has horrible customer service. I usually go to Diamond Nails but decided to give this place a shot - will never be coming back; the shape of my nails is crooked and looks stubby despite me asking to have it look thinner/more natural. Although the color is good on my fingernails, the lady doing my toes royally botched it and ended up leaving a bubble of coat on my big toe (an issue that another person was also having that they had to come in to get fixed) - the color was nowhere near what I had asked for and I wasn't able to see it/she didn't ask me as we were going along if the color was good; so now i have one set of decent looking toenails and another set of grotesque looking ones, both of which are not a flattering color - and all crooked fingernails. To add insult to injury, I forgot my card here and called immediately when I realized to confirm that it was here - I specifically asked whether the name and design of the card matched mine was told yes; but when I've come today (after they opened 30 minutes later than their scheduled time) they have no idea what I was talking about and then eventually said someone else must have picked it up.....how do they allow someone else to pick up my card without verifying it was theirs? This was one of my worst experiences with getting my nails done, and I definitely would not recommend - especially if these are going to be your nails for a big event. 4H nails, do way better. read more

Wanted to get a manicure done here after reading all the reviews. When I walked in I was greeted and asked what I wanted. I specifically said "a manicure but no gel just acrylic." Considering acrylic is cheaper. They sat me down and started to paint the polish I picked out onto my natural nail. After explaining 3 times that's not what I wanted they continued to tell me well you should've said that in the beginning...I was furious and disappointed. I've worked in customer service before and the customer is always right, you don't talk to the people who make your paycheck like that. Anyways the nails did turn out good and hopefully if I do go back I won't be surrounded by the same troubling experience. read more

I used to go to this salon when it was Universal Nails. It was awesome! The people were friendly and more than accommodating. The quality was top notch! I went in about a week ago and things were arranged differently. I immediately asked if they had new owners. I was told it was the same owners and they were on vacation in Vietnam. I was directed to a pedicure chair and was ready for some relaxing and pampering. That didn't last long. I wanted a pedicure and a full set. Many times I've had them done simultaneously. But this time the lady doing the full set kept yanking on my arm. I was positioned so awkwardly, it was hard to relax. I sat in the spa chair so long my tailbone ached. Then the lady got out a nail file and began to saw away at my cuticles. When I jerked my hand away and she saw blood, she apologized and quickly doused it with alcohol. Ouch!!!! All this was going on while the girl doing my pedicure was also drawing blood from my toes. :/ when it came to the leg massage part (usually the best part) the girl dug her thumbs into the tops of my feet and my shin bones! The pedicure I chose included a hot stone massage, she wrapped the hot stones in wet towels and rubbed the boney areas of my legs and ankles. I just wanted to get out of there....fast! When all was done, I paid nearly $100 for one of the worst experiences. My full set has so much excess acrylic built up around the edges and under side of my nails. They keep snagging on everything. I don't get to treat myself often and I definitely won't be going back to this place! read more

They spent so much time on me and were so polite. My nails are still perfect from over 2 weeks ago.
