Original review: After researching nail salons for a couple of weeks, I decided to book with The Nail Salon. I scheduled my appointment through text and was asked to send a $20 deposit through Zelle, which I did during our conversation. When I arrived for my appointment, I was told I didn't actually have one scheduled. I showed the text messages and proof of the deposit transaction. She explained that because I didn't specifically tell her the payment had been sent, she didn't realize the deposit was from me and never added me to the schedule. At that point, I probably should have left, but since they weren't busy and I had already paid the deposit, I decided to continue with the appointment. The pedicure was honestly very relaxing, and the massage portion was excellent. Unfortunately, the manicure experience was much different. I requested a full set, showed a couple of inspiration photos, and trusted the tech to choose the best products. During the application process, I noticed the nails were crooked and mentioned it. I was told they would be fixed, but the final result still looked uneven and nothing like the inspiration photos. What made the experience more uncomfortable was that multiple times during the manicure, the misunderstanding about the appointment was brought up and framed as entirely my fault, with no acknowledgment of the communication issue on both sides. I'm admittedly not someone who likes confrontation, so after bringing up the crooked nails once, I stayed quiet, paid, tipped, and left. I left disappointed because I had really hoped to find a salon I could return to regularly. The pedicure itself was great, but between the appointment confusion, the interaction during the service, and the quality of the manicure, I unfortunately won't be returning. I'll now need to pay another nail tech to correct the set.

I've given them numerous chances & tried out different people in hopes of finding my perfect pedicurist & I end up leaving disappointed every single time. This place is WAY TOO OVERPRICED FOR THE QUALITY OF WORK THEY PROVIDE & they have attitudes when you ask them to fix something because it's not up to my standard. Sorry not sorry, but if I'm paying $80 for a PEDICURE, I would expect that pedicure to be immaculate, in which it never is. As a licensed nail artist/technician myself I am very particular on how I like things done. I provided a photo for reference of a simple deep smile line French tip that I wanted & they couldn't even do that. The woman who was doing my pedicure couldn't do it, so she got fed up when I said I didn't like it & tried to give her a tip on how to make things easier & she stood up & looked for someone else to do it. The next lady was more fluent in English so I had high hopes, but to my surprise she still left me disappointed. I just feel the staff is lazy & they have no desire to become better artists, their only focus is to take your money. Not to mention how they NEVER use clean tools, all their tools are dirty & unsanitary. I see them pull the same cuticle nippers out their box that they just used on the person before & they are using the same sanding bands on multiple people, which those are supposed to be brand new for every client. I think State Board needs to pay them a visit so they can rethink their cleanliness & not risk spreading fungus/infections. With that being said, I felt this review was necessary to bring awareness about the quality service that's NOT being provided & the sad reality of the careless employees who work there just to take your money & not prioritize the clients satisfaction. I know what QUALITY looks like, but this surely isn't it. If you wanna do $30 work, you should charge accordingly because we're not getting what we pay for here.
