For the most part, people seem to be in a rush and everyone was working so fast. The first thing you want to do is to get a close parking spot and reverse your car in. Find a trash bin to bring to your car and dump all your recyclables in the bin. Tips: -make sure your aluminum, glass and plastic are separated. It'll save time. -reverse park into the parking stalls -go grab an empty trash can -poor your recyclables into the bin -stand in line, they pour the items in your trash bin into a wire bin, then weigh it, give you a receipt and you redeem it at the window for cash -bring and wear disposable gloves because the trash bins and recyclables are sticky -don't wear your best clothes or shoes. Even the floors are sticky. *You must have your items in the trash bin when you're in line. Otherwise you'll be kicked of line and go to the back. This happened to me because they were out of trash bins. I had to wait for an empty one from someone else. There are other items on the list to recycle. I was able to get $38 with 3 full trash bags of cans, bottles and glass.

NEVER have I only got that. I usually have the same amount every time I go, because once my containers are full at home, I usually get between 65 and 80 78 dollars. I take them in. So I was going to ask if there was a drastic change in prices at window, but it was like the girl heard us talking about in on camera because as soon as I put ticket down, she grabbed it and said " I will be right back" we waited for about 3-5 minutes she finally comes back and says "sorry about the wait, but I saw you were not credited correctly, your new total is 74.56" I said oh good because I was going to ask why it was much lower than normal, but ho did that happen? She said " sometimes, they rush and punch in whatever." We left having even more questions. How or why are they " just able to punch in whatever they want?" Isn't it all computerized? Aren't they supposed to weigh our items and whatever the weight is, is what should be printed out? This has me concerned they are not weighing honestly? Is this suspicious?

This place is called rePlanet and has been for awhile now. It's located behind the Vons in a small…read moreparking lot by a shipping container (between Vons and Walmart). They are open Tues-Sat 10am-1pm, closed 30 minutes for lunch, then 1:30pm to 4:30pm. The Machines are open during the lunch break and I think they're open until 5pm. You redeem your vouchers at the Vons on the other side of the building. I've not had a bad experience here and this is the only place I will recycle my cans/bottles for the simple fact they have 2 machines that you can feed your bottles into. For my little 500ml plastic water bottles that are 5¢ each it is worth my time/money to do them individually because there is no 50 bottle limit and I get full value back. If I was to have them weigh it you don't get as much (and the employees will tell you that) For bigger bottles like my #2 plastic larger bottles they weigh by pound and you get more money, again they tell you this because they want to help you. As far as parking there is plenty of room. I'm unsure what the issue was for the other person, but maybe if you're one of the people who park in front of it and block the drive you'd get yelled at. If you park next to the electrical box or in any of the parking spots you'll be fine. It's never that busy here. Normally no wait on the machines and most I've waited was 5 minutes for the weigh scales (due to him fixing something). I highly recommend!
