I ordered some items during an event that this website was hosting. I purchased in confidence even though 4ward defense was a lesser known business at the time. I completely regret my purchase. Not only was i not informed of the backorder list, my order was submitted without any notification. I returned a few days later only to find out that they stopped selling the item i had purchased a few hours after the fact. WHAT?!?!? I thought to myself "Either ive got the worst luck in the world, or something fishy was happening" I sent a message to the business and received a reply about 48 hours later explaining that i would not be able to obtain a refund nor cancel the order. They told me i would have to be put on a list until the item is being sold again (which would likely never happen) So, i decided to dispute the transaction. Needless to say, this was a huge mistake. After i disputed the transaction, about 24 hours later i receive a very aggressive and threatening email explaining that i would be facing criminal prosecution. Not only that, they also posted my private billing information online and threatened that they will be pursuing legal action against me for purchasing a product that WAS ON THEIR website! This company seems to be collecting information on their customers, and for whatever reason are VERY willing to give that information to the government. Needless to say, I will never be using their services again. I would recommend not purchasing from these people unless you wish to be DOXXED! read more

My wife set up a birthday gift of epic proportions. Flew my buddy in (who I had not seen in 20 yrs) to celebrate. She had it all arranged for us to meet up with Eric, who, according to her, was gonna teach us to shoot like John Wick. When we first sat down with Eric at the range, we discussed expectations. I let him know that while I didn't necessarily have such Hollywood aspirations, I DID want to learn how to handle my firearm with more confidence and effectiveness. He assured me that by the end of the day, I would see leaps and bounds in my proficiency. So we settled in and started working through some drills so he could get a feel for our ability level. As he evaluated, he scaled up the intensity each time he noticed us feeling comfortable. He consistently challenged us at our individual level. Along the way he would make slight adjustments to stance, grip, and trigger technique that yielded immediate improvement. Now, while I'm not ready to take on a hotel full of assassins just yet, I will tell you I gained the abillity to RUN MY GUN. Expectations exceeded. I took my LTC class with Eric and thoroughly enjoyed it. He took the time to explain everything in a manner that was easy to understand. I felt very comfortable asking questions and left the class knowing what to expect moving forward. He offered recommendations of holsters and tips for a good shooting stance that were very helpful during the shooting portion. I plan on taking his advanced training courses to help me with my limited pistol skills and feel more comfortable and knowledgeable carrying. read more

I paid a "FREE Online License to Carry Class - only pay $37.97 if you pass the final exam." The price at checkout was switched to $64.97 that I ended up paying (shame on me). I passed the exam then had to make multiple attempts to finally receive a Certificate from 4WARD. I filed the 4WARD Certificate and all other documents with the Texas DPS. Months went by and no license received. After more than 10 months and multiple emails with DTP, I finally received a DPS email stating "application cannot be processed at thie time due to an error or errors on your Certificate of Traning Form LTC-100. Missing Certificate of Training Form (LTC-100/101). Completion of the LTC course must be completed with a LTC instructor certified by the state of Texas." I wrote 4WARD requesting a refund and received a response: "once a certificate is generated and received by a customer - a refund is not longer possible" and "you may have decided to try something completely different and use the certification for something is does not accomplish. If you wish to do the Texas LTC program, it's completely different and would have to be done separately." I wasted over 10 months trying to get the License from Texas DPS only to find that the certificate I paid 4WARD for is invalid. read more

Eric is such a great instructor. He makes the state required time of 4 hours of content go by very fast and it is entertaining while educational. The time on the range is all that is needed after the written test. If you are looking to get your LTC, you should use 4Ward Defense. My wife, myself and daughter made it a fun family day. read more

I took the LTC class with Eric and I thought it was good, however I did not receive my certificate. I did receive SEVERAL emails from 4Ward Defense soliciting to buy e-books and gear. So I know they had my correct email address and it was not going to spam, however I did check spam just in case. I emailed Eric and he said he sent it again, still no certificate. The next day I emailed Eric again on how frustrated I was and he finally sent an email with my certificate and I thanked him for it. The next thing I know I get a scathing rude email telling me how dumb I am and this was all my fault I didn't get the certificate because I could not follow instructions on a web page that had SO MANY things and links. Also be aware the certificate you get is only one piece of paper and the first fee you will need to pay to get the CCP permit. You also need a SP-248 application, a $100.00 cashier's check or money order, passport photos, finger prints and the Application card FD-258. Once all this is done the CCP is only good in 30 states. read more

I arrived at the Jones Rd. location at the agreed time. I contacted Eric by text and he admitted he had failed to inform me the training would take place at a target range 5 miles further away. I asked Eric to reverse my charge, I was done. I had lost confidence in Eric. Also, Eric was defensive and implied his mistake was somehow my fault because I was unwilling to continue driving in the heavy traffic to the target range on his moment's notice. How can I trust Eric's ability to instruct me properly on marksmanship if Eric cannot instruct me properly on where to meet to deliver the services I had already paid for? For this reason, I rejected his offer to reschedule. There are too many other more reliable instructors nearby that I would prefer to hire. Eric indicated he wants to keep my money, but not deliver the services that I agreed to. Clearly, I don't recommend Eric. read more
