Bought pants from here and they faded in less than 2 months. I only wore them at night and never in the sun. Customer service was mediocre and they should step it up more. I felt like I was just another number to them in sales and also felt rushed. Their store here is pretty much in the ghetto strip mall where tons of homeless and chronics live and rob people. Parking is not good because all stores in that ghetto strip mall save their parking stalls for their store so most stores there only have two stalls to park. First time here. They just had their grand opening a few days ago. Their prices are reasonable considering the quality of the merchandise and the state taxes and delivery charges that we'd have to pay if we ordered online. It's a small hole-the-wall type business located between Party City and 7-Eleven on Nimitz Hwy. They don't have a huge variety of tactical gear, but enough to make u wanna buy some stuff. There is FINALLY a 5.11 store here in Hawaii. Very good selection of merchandise, and some things that aren't made by 5.11 like tourniquets and holder (hard and soft) and a few other things. Being that this store just opened there are a couple of hiccups like I went there the day after their soft opening and they were having problems with their landline but I'm sure by now those issues have been resolved. Another issue that they have is that because the warehouse in the mainland is undergoing renovations so that the warehouse can adequately supply the new locations opening around the country the store won't be getting any merchandise for about a month. I wanted to order shoes but the staff said that I won't be able to order because of the renovations but that's okay I can wait. Once the renovations on the mainland are done I'm sure it'll be great. Another problem is trying not to spend too much money, and I'll tell you from personal experience it is going to be DIFFICULT. read more

I ordered the Range Ready Bag from Amazon (big mistake) way before Christmas to make sure it got here in time. 2 weeks after ordering, it still hadn't shipped. This was my first and last time into the store today. I went into the store in hopes to find Raptor trauma shears. One of the store sale reps tried to help me out by showing me the North American trauma shears. I stated that those are not Raptor trauma shears. He then asked whats the difference is between the two. As I explained what the difference was, he stated, oh thats way too much, you don't need them this one would be fine. One don't be rude and cut me off as I am suggesting a great product for your store to carry for the First Responders. Two also don't tell me that I don't need that tool when I'm the one, who is going to be using it and I'm the one who works in that job field. Three I don't understand how 5.11 Tactical supports Military and First Responders but doesn't provide us with a Military or First Responders discount. As I stated this was my first and last time in this store and it made be the last time I buy anything from 5.11 Tactical again. I would strongly suggest that you buy your 5.11 Tactical from the NEX or online I am sure that the service will be much better than what I received today in the 5.11 Tactical store here in Honolulu read more

Brand new 5.11 store at Nimitz and Alakawa. Next to 7-Eleven by Party City. Parking can be a little rough depending on the time. Tactical clothing, accessories, boots, and bags. A store like this locally is always good to have since you can actually try on the apparel and see how the fit is. read more

So disappointed with this place. Ordered a $70 pair of pants only to have the seams completely rip out after a few wears. Contacted the help desk and spoke with someone who was very courteous and said she would have a new pair to me as quickly as possible. Two months later and a few emails later and still nothing. No pants and no reply to my emails. I was so impressed by the helpfulness but now I am just outraged by the lack of follow through. read more

Service was ok. Location was off a bit; not a super welcoming area to bring the family. The Mall would be a better location or Ward. They also do not provide any discounts for any branch of any kind of law enforcement, or service. All the continental US locations provide discounts for local/federal/military law enforcement etc. with ID. Might want to order online, or shop on the mainland if you get the chance, to receive your well deserved 20% off. 3 stars for the quality of merchandise and inventory. I was seeking everyday tactical pants that could pass as casual everyday wear. I tried on several pants and found a couple of pairs that fit perfectly and purchased them (approximately $150.00 for two pairs). I found the store to be clean and organized. Two fitting rooms were available to try on merchandise. Why just three stars? The staff seemed indifferent and not very welcoming. No greeting upon entering the store or while queuing for the nonexistent line at the cashier counter. The transaction seemed impersonal at best. Decent assortment of gear which also included a lot of molle gear. I bought a pair of Athos shorts because they are the only ones that had a button on the back pocket (all the other shorts were either Velcro or no closure device). Friendly service. Location is okay but parking is meh. No military discount if that matters to you. read more
